The remodel was fantastic. Before we started, the garage was totally unfinished and a big mess. After we got all the junk out we hired Ron to finish the garage and build stairs to a 2nd story. Ron's workers 1st insulated the garage. Then shiplap siding was installed to give it a finished look. We had stairs built to the existing garage attic that originally just had a pull down stairway. We had them build storage under the stairs and then the garage interior was painted. It turned out beautiful. On a rating of one to ten we would give them a 10. Tim, Ron's carpenter, exceeded our expectations. He was creative and paid close attention to detail. We are so happy. Great work!

Window screen torn on install. Window ceil cracked when windows were removed.. no offer to repair. Was told interior around window would be repainted once install was complete.. it was not done, only caulking used in larger area.. Bath remodel, multiple errors with concerns disregarded.. sheet rock cracking and compound crumbling, uneven wall,...... owner of company quit communicatng with home owner outside of making excuses for contractors and sub contractors. Would not hire again or recommend.. trim boards and quarter round were cut, only half were installed.. the remainder sits in the unfinished closet.. patch work where nails were placed, visually obvious on siding.. paint left of bricks rather than cleaning area...

First, let me say that we really like Ron as a person and we liked his workers also.  They were respectful, professional, and were here when they said they would be.  Because of this, we would love to be able to give Home Exteriors an A for Quality and for Overall, but we just can't.  Ron told us when we hired him that he would exceed our expectations.  Unfortunately, that did not happen.  Regarding our project, there were three things that did not meet our expectations.  1. We specifically requested that the new cedar boards that were being put up be primed on all sides.  That was not done.  Ron did reduce the bill by an agreed upon amount because it wasn't done, but we would much rather have had the boards primed on all sides.  2.  Nail holes.  Per our bid, all nails holes were to be filled in.  After all the work was done, every nail hole was very visible, so much so that we thought they hadn't been filled in at all.  We called Ron and he said they had been filled in with caulk and that caulk shrinks. Well, it looked terrible to us, so to his credit, Ron sent someone out to refill the holes --- but again they used caulk, which again shrank.  So we ourselves have spent countless hours going around the house, filling every nail hole (hundreds of them) with wood filler, sanding, priming, then painting all of those areas again.  It's a lot of work, and work that we did not expect to have to do ourselves after paying what we paid.   3.  The painting of our doors.  Our doors were previously painted with a semi-gloss finish. Ron recommended that we paint the doors with the same eggshell finish we were using on the house.  That's fine in itself, but the painters did not prep the doors before they painted.  They just painted eggshell over semi-gloss and so the paint inevitably started peeling off.  This was extremely disappointing.   We told Ron about it and sent him pictures.  He indicated they could come repaint the doors but it was unclear whether we would be charged for it, and we were not going to pay more money. Ultimately, we decided to do it ourselves so that we could ensure the proper prep work was done.  But again, this is work that we paid someone else to do.  This is why we are giving an overall C --- because of the time and effort we have spent filling in nail holes and repainting doors that we paid Home Exteriors to do.  Final thought ---  the prep work is SO important to achieving a great final result, whether it be filling in nail holes sufficiently or sanding and priming a surface before painting.  It is KEY!

Went well, Ron was my first call and my last. Based on some research I had done online, no window companies wanted to come out and do our job because it was too small. Ron came to the house, talked us thru the options, offered some advice on some unrelated issues. We proceeded with the work, The window was installed immediately and the finish was great. Even helped us hang our Christmas wreath. We are planning on using Ron for some siding and painting jobs in the near future.

Pleased overall. One window had wrong glass but was rectified quickly.

Great job by Ron, again. This job went well as usual since I have used him several times before and have always been satisfied.
His installers were great, helpful and professional.  The product looks great.  Ron responded promptly to everyone of my calls since there were schedule issues at my end and adjusted his schedule to meet my needs. I will get bids for future jobs from him and continue to rate him highly.

Took a little longer than anticipated due to weather but the end result was worth it.. have had compliments as well as professionals and individuals wanting to purchase my home.. it is not for sale..

Ron Kinder installed double-pane windows and patio door - they did a g reat job in record time, crew was very efficient, no wasted time and no mess left at all when they were done. I have referred them several times to friends and would definitely use them again should the need arise. Thanks, Ron !

Ron was great to work with. He is very honest and focused on making sure the job is done right. I feel I got a great value and we couldn't be happier with the end results. His crew was very clean and one of the more professional crews I have worked with. We did have a few hiccups along the way and Ron worked hard to ensure they were corrected. Sometimes the communication between Ron and his team wasn't as robust as it could have been and resulted in me not being able to count on exactly when the crew would be at my house, and the final touch-ups took longer to complete than I thought they should. My advice would be to make sure you have frequent communication with Ron. Overall I would highly recommend Ron to anyone.

I have use them two times before and I have had good results with them. He did a proposal and did the work that was on the proposal. He cleaned up well and everything is as he said it would be. I am happy with it. I would use them again.

Windows look great. Crew worked quickly and cleaned up as they went inside and out. They took down and replaced my blinds. I had them do the touch up painting too. Ron came by daily to check on crew.

The construction crew were on time, worked fast and efficiently. They new what they were doing and did it well. They cleaned up as they completed their work in each area. They were courteous and polite. We are very pleased with the quality. The most amazing thing is what a difference the new windows and doors made in the outside noise level and also the heating and cooling efficiency of our home.

Ron brough window samples to our home and explained their energy ratings and opration as well as his pricing structure. The windows arrived on scheudle and the work crew was very quick and efficient in the installation. They removed all traces of debris from the installation and disrupted our home very little. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any project.

I placed the order in February with Ron and the windows arrived in late March. Installation went as planned except that the window manufacturer misdid the architectural windows for my den area. This required a re-order which took an additional 4 weeks. When the architectural windows arrived the second time, they were wrong again, so a second reorder was required and took another 4 weeks. Finally, the windows were correct and the job was completed satisfactorily. Ron was apologetic and his team did a very good job of making sure the house did not look poorly while we were waiting for the windows to arrive.
Ron and his team continue to excel at customer service, even when his suppliers make things difficult for him.

He's dependable and stands behind his work. If anything ever goes wrong he gladly comes back and fixes the issue.

It went very well. The paint job looks very good. The 2-man crew kept the working area clean. They did a good job.

Called and received an estimate on the windows and it was a much better price than I had seen from others, so I opted to go with him. He ordered the windows and they came within a couple weeks. I did have to call him several times to confirm dates for install, but once I was able to get a hold of him, his crew was very punctual and very efficient. They were very careful in removing the old glass and I was not able to find a single bit on the ground after they were done. They ran into an issue with some laminated glass, but were quickly able to sort out the issue. They shimmed the new windows into place very precisely and did not nick any of them. When they were done (which was very quick I think, maybe 4 hours total for 9 windows), they didn't leave any trash and left me the extra caulking materials with instructions on how to use them. Overall, I was extremely pleased with Ron and his crew/

The job was completed with extreme professionalism. What a great difference it made in our home!
