Certified Construction

I had a roof replaced after Hurricane Ike, the initial cost was $7293.00, After the shingles had been stripped from my garage (seperate structure) I was informed that they had underestimated the cost by $1230.00, whichn i now had to pay. The work was substandard. They did not strip and prep the deck as per contract. The rows of shingles are not straight. They cut the decking for the ridge vents wrong. Specs call for 3 inch width and some areas I have 4 or more inches, they cut the holes longer than the actual ridge and covered it with shingles, not even placing underlayment. The shingles on the ridges are cracked down the center. They left exposed nails, and overdrove nails. The granules on some of the shingles are almost gone. The drip edge installed looks like recycled tin. They have sent repair crews, but still can't get it right. I was told in 10 seperate occassions that people would be there for repairs, and I have taken time off for them and they did not show. I was usually notified in the late afternoon that were unable to make it. The roof leaked in April resulting in $2400.00 in damages. They sent a repairman over to install caulking. It looks like a patchjob you'd see in 15-20 year old roof. When I complaint and tried to send them the estimate for the interior damage, they have quit responding. I have photos of the roof, to back up my complaint.
