ARBORICARE TREE SERVICE

This company is fantastic, with workers who work very hard and knowledgeable people in charge. Paul comes out to give the estimate and stops by as the workers are about to get started, to be sure they are clear on what was agreed upon. We have used Arboricare/ ATS for years, starting back when Kenny Robinson was in charge of the company. They did a marvelous job with a huge sweetgum that was likely damaged during construction of the house in 2001 and was near death. Since sweetgums are one of the few trees that respond well to topping, they topped it, filled a hole with some sort of patching material, and advised me to provide aeration, water and fertilizer until the tree came back to life. We were able to save this beautiful tree for $700, which was less than it would have cost to cut it down, and it now towers over the house and has survived all the recent hurricanes with no damage. Since our lot is heavily wooded, we needed the company to thin out some of the trees in front of the house because the HOA "police force" felt that our wooded landscape belonged in The Woodlands, not Kingwood. Because the trees could fall in the street without damaging any nearby structures, removal was very inexpensive. Now we just need annual cleanup and trimming branches away from the house, and the cost is usually around $250 to $275, which seems to me a very reasonable price for a job my husband and I could not attempt on our own. The company is always very busy and our job is usually pretty small, so Paul fits us in when he has a spare hour or two after another job nearby wraps up. This arrangement is fine with me since my husband and I are retired and can be home whenever he fits us into the schedule. You do not have to be home when they come by to do the tree trimming, but of course if you are there you can tell them to cut a little higher here, don't do any more thinning there, etc., so I always try to be there.

Very punctual, fast and did a good job. The tree trimming went much better than I expected and the tree looks great plus we no longer have the neighbors tree overhanging our house. They moved a bird bath, potted plants and lawn swing to prevent damage. Very proactive in saving our items. Work ethics were good and safety was evident in the care they took in their endeavors.

They didn't get all the roots out because of the type of trees they were so my husband was a little disappointed. I'm quite pleased with the pricing they charge for the job.

It was tricky getting the tree cut because of its position. However, the tree was cut, the stump was ground and all the debris was cleaned up and hauled away. We asked for some of the wood and they left what we wanted. Now we would not know a tree had been there if hadn't known it was there. It was a dangerous tree and we're glad it was safely removed. The possum family living in the tree were unhappy to be evicted.

Much cheaper than other two estimates. Nice owner. Hard workers. sometimes didn't call back when I called, though--guess they were busy.

The sweetgum tree was located right behind the right side of the house between the fence and the patio, which are about ten feet apart. The workers were very careful about what they were doing and moved some of my patio furniture prior to starting to make sure it wasn't damaged by the tree when it was cut down. They worked quickly and efficiently and were very careful to make sure the tree didn't rub against the house. They cut the tree up and removed all of the wood and debris, they even blew off my whole patio even though a large part of it didn't have any debris from the tree removal. This was the second time I have used them as I had them out a few months ago to trim all of my trees and even then they didn't try to take advantage of all the trees in the yard just trimming the ones that really needed it. I will use them again and wouldn't have any problem recommending them to anyone who needs a tree service.

Overall very pleased with the work and the price. Timely, professional, corteous. Would definitely recommend.

Arboricare Tree Service removed our tree without further damage to the house or the neighbors home. The only thing that had some damage was some shrubs around the home. The problem that I encounter with them was is that they would not give me a copy of the receipt to give to my insurance adjuster. I felt that I had a right to that receipt.
