It took a while to get in the door. It was a special order due to color. I had to call when a few weeks went by and heard nothing. Then was told it would be longer. The installer was very thorough and knowledgeable. The day it was installed, it was very slightly dented and a few noticable scratches. It was also bowing when closed. They came out and fixed it all. They seemed very adiment that I was satisfied. Good folks there.

Scheduling an appointment: I called on a Friday night at 7:30pm, thinking of leaving a voicemail to be called back as early as possible. To my surprise, somebody replied immediately and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Punctuality/Friendliness: Worker showed up on time (within 4 hour time bracket), after calling 20 min advance, very friendly and polite, great. Work quality/Professionalism, Part 1: Main problem (broken spring) was quickly identified, fair quote for replacement. I mentioned a couple of things I had noticed as a side effect of the spring breaking (door slightly bent, unhook cables...), was told this would not be a problem. He clearly knew what he was doing, no hesitation and very efficient in replacing the parts and putting back everything together. Towards the end, he showed a little frustration in things not being installed properly by the previous contractor (8 years prior). Everything great until here, and I expect for most customers needing this kind of work, the experience would just be great. Work/Professionalism part 2: After installing everything back together and trying the opener one time, the door started grinding for a few seconds and not moving as expected. At this point, after spending 2-3 minutes looking around, I was told that the original installation was incorrect; that as a result the garage door opener gear was stripped (could tell from noise), and that it was not worth throwing money at it to repair the current setup, that instead I would need a brand new installation (>$500), and that it could not be done until sometime next week, that he had another job to go to afterwards; so our interaction was done for the day. After he left, I grabbed a wrench, tightened up a couple of nuts, readjusted the limits on the garage door opener, opened/closed the door 50+ times and this works better than it ever has, took me 2-3 minutes at most. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this. The job that was done was done very well; and I understand that someone would not want to put his name on an installation that doesn't meet their standards, as my follow up fix may work for a limited time only, who knows. But I would have preferred to be told that, rather than the conclusion that the entire installation had to be replaced with no hope of it working again. As bad as my setup is, it had worked with no issue for 8 years, and the problem of the day was caused by a regular maintenance item (broken spring), not the installation itself. So I would have preferred for him not to give up after 2 min of troubleshooting and presenting the upsell at the only option. Also I would have MUCH prefer if all those installation issues (that apparently looked pretty obvious), would have been mentioned before starting the initial repair, as at the end of the day I was given a confident diagnostic with a $250 repair quote, and $250 later was left with an inoperative door that would cost me an extra $500+ to repair. Overall, I would use their service again.

I called Agape.  She said let me get your name & number.  She called back in 5 minutes and had someone to come out.  It was really cheap!  Much less than others were going to charge.  He took maybe 15 minutes to repair.  I enjoyed their service so much that I'm going to hire again to install new garage door opener at my new home.

I called to get an estimate and they showed up the same day to take measurements. I had an estimate the same day!! They ordered the doors and set a date. They were very patient with scheduling as I was also installing siding and was trying to coordinate the siding crew with the garage door removal. They showed up on time, removed the old doors and installed the new ones. There was no mess left behind. Best company I have ever hired!!!!

I worked with the same installer before when the company installed two new garage door openers a year ago.  The installer is very professional and does good work.  I have no reason to go anywhere else than Agape Doors

He did not oil the side panels so my hinges still squeaks. The work was done in about 10 minutes. He fixed one of my remotes but now the accessory remote does not work. I had to call and have them come back out but he said it will squeak regardless of what he will do. I felt he did not really care since I prepaid through Angie's List. I did not feel that I got the service I paid for.

Last night, the garage door hit my truck bumper when we closed it. This caused it to get c***-eyed and made one of the cable come loose. I called Agape Overhead Doors at 6:30 am this morning thinking that I would get an answering machine, But, someone answered who called me back as soon as they got to the shop. The technician got to my house about 9 am, had a quick look, and told me it would take about 30 minutes to take care of the problems. I was good with the cost, so he got right to work. It took him about 30 minutes. My garage door works quieter now that it ever has in the 6 years we've lived here. I really appreciate the quick response from Agape Overhead Doors. We really like to be able to close our garage door.

They were fantastic.  I was pretty much ready to get taken to cleaners and told to purchase new garage door openers and a bunch of new brackets, but they were able to get my old stuff up and running for pretty cheap.  That is usually my concern when I call a service provider out is that they will show up and do one of those..."wow, this is worse than I thought.  If we don't do a full overhaul of _________ which will cost the equivelent of 3 and a half Faberge Eggs, the universe might collapse."  Not these guys.

They were very helpful, not at all pushy and did exactly what they said they would do.  I don't remember exactly what I paid, but I wanted the door insulated and they provided that, too, at a reasonable cost. I think the total was somewhere between $800nd $1,000. I was very comfortable with the people they sent to evaluate my needs and with the installer.  I was very pleased with the service and would happily recommend them.

The man who showed up was very professional, on time and polite. However, I did not use their service. I was told that in order to fix the dents I would need to replace the door. The garage door functioned (magically) when he came. The hinge I was told, would cost $75 which I felt was high considering it just needed a screw or two. I understand the company needs to be paid for time spent but, the problem was fixed easily by a family member in five minutes. I'm sure if I needed more serious work done that they would have done a great job.

I was trapped at home as my garage door would not open.  I checked Angie's list for the providers within 5 miles of my home, checked the reviews and decided to call Agape.  I called them and they were at my home in about an hour.  Gary replaced the broken spring and the door rollers.  I can understand why all the reviews are great for this company.  They are a pleasure to work with.  Thanks Agape for the quick response and great service.

I am a member of Angie's List, and always try to use venders that have been reviewed.  I read the reviews on Agape Overhead Doors, and decided to give them a call.  I called them Saturday afternoon, expecting to get a recording, or answering service.  The lady that answered the call, was very informative,  giving me the price and setting the appointment for Monday morning.

The Technician, James, arrived as scheduled, and after checking everything out, he said that because our garage doors were so old (and they are!), he didn't have the type of spring on his truck, and would have to order.  That is certainly understandable.  We set the return appointment for Wednesday afternoon.  James was on time, and fully prepared to fix our problem.  He was friendly and knowledgeable, and actually did more than just replacing the springs.  He gave us good advice, and explained everything that he was doing.

The bill was exactly as quoted.  We are planning to replace both of our garage doors sometime next year.  I will call Agape Overhead Doors to provide this service, because I trust them to do what they say they will do.

I'm glad I found Agape and will definitely refer business their way.
