The technician arrived at my house was pleasant and courteous. He started to check the first floor unit and found the problem was with the tube from the pressure switch to the fan had some debris blocking the flow path. The next thing he checked was the temperature of the air coming in and going out to ensure the proper temperature gradient, this in itself is fine to determine the performance of the coils but when I asked for him to check the refrigerant levels he said it was needed as the temperature was fine. He checked the drain lines by blowing into it but did not do much more than that to verify no blockages, check the outside units visually and sprayed down the fins down with water to clean them off.
The reason was for the poor review was two weeks later, my coils started to freeze up due to a leak in my evaporator coils which was never inspected. If the technician would have checked my coolant levels as requested he would have noticed the problem and could have been rectified sooner. In addition, when the coils were being replaced, the technician found an area where a fair bit of debris had accumulated in the drain line which would have never been caught simply blowing on the line. For me the quality of work performed was not worth the price paid as I had to spend the money again to fix the problems not detected during the inspection.
