David, true professional very friendly. Nailed the problem fixed it. Perfect!! Arrived in less than 30 minutes after call.

He was punctual and came out same day! Thank goodness too as the unit was apparently in permanent defrost mode and could have set the house on fire. The technician evaluated the unit and said two electric boards were fried and recommended replacing to the insurance adjusters. He noted that he could replace the 2 boards for around $450, including labor, but then the other components, such as the compressor, could still be damaged and we would still need a new fridge... all in all, I was happy with the service.

They did fine. The price was reasonable.

I made my appointment a couple days in advance. The only inconvenience was that they wouldn't give me an appointment window, just a date. I was told the repairman would call me the morning of and give me a time estimate of when he would be there. The morning of the appointment came, the repairman called around 8:30am and I was given a service window between noon-2pm. Around 11am I got another call from the repairman that he would be there within 20 minutes. This was ok for me that particular day, but if I was working that day it would have made me scramble. The repairman arrived, inspected the stove, and cleaned the holes the gas comes through. It was really a simple fix. He explained what he did and how we can do it ourselves next time. We were charged the standard trip charge of around $65. I do think their trip charge price is higher than another vendor I have used in the past (Action Appliance). The service provided by A-1 Maytag was as advertised and I agreed to the price upfront, so I have no complaints against this vendor.

It was a little confusing working between the install division and service division. When we would call in, it was not made clear there were 2 distinct divisions, so I wasted time describing problems to the wrong gal on the phone. We were given a service day, and the repair guy didn't show up that evening until 8:00 pm due to unexpected delay. A-1 is good about giving a 3 hour window and stuck to that on the 2nd trip out. We have an old pair of appliances, and they were able to either obtain the parts we needed or had them in stock. I was disappointed that the install guys did not wipe down the equipment when they were done. they left them both with dirty sides & fronts. For $100+ to simply install, I think they should have wiped the machines off. The rest of the services went pretty well.
