WOOD ELECTRICAL SERVICE

We have been pleased with them and would call them if we had a problem. We have been using them for a long time.

After not showing up a couple of times, a crew did show up. During work in progress, a couple residents went out to check on progress. We were told that the elements in the "statement of work" were not possible. Further, they left without a final checkout of work done. And the work not done (install of an outlet on the new lamp post) was not acceptable.

Our Association point of contact contacted the owner and he came out to inspect the work. He was disappointed and got another crew out to correct mistakes done by the first crew and to more fully comply with the "statement of work (contract)".

All the above, the owner did finally correct the issues we had and we give the owner credit on  responding to the Association issues.

The overall rating is based upon the owners response.

Jimmy was professional when he did the original inspection. When he installed the line, everything appeared okay. He noted that the circuit breaker appeared to be melting. The problem came when we tried to get details on the quote from Ronnie Wood. He was non-responsive to numerous attempts to confirm information (e.g., the model and type of low noise fans as they were to be left on continuously). He also would not respond to my wife's inquiry. When I finally received some information from Ronnie, the price increased despite me giving extensive details on what we needed (including a continuously running quiet fan). Given the lack of responsiveness and the perception that they did not understand (or wouldn't listen) to the project requirements, and as a consequence the price would go up, we ended up using a different electrician.

They were here for less than an hour and they found that it was something small. We spent about $100 or $120 on that work. They were fast and good. They were not cheap, but there were two of them.

Woods Electrical has done work for me in three properties, my home and also two rental properties. I had all the electric light switches replaced and several light fixtures replaced in one of the rentals. Same type or work done in the second rental. In my home, they troubleshooted why several electric outlets in my kitchen which had never worked, installed a timer on an exterior light and installed a ceiling fixture. Each electrician was professional, efficient and did exactly what I hired them to do. Also, Betty who schedules appointments and Ronnie, the electrician who works in their office, both do an OUTSTANDING JOB. They are very professional. Although I know nothing about electrical stuff, I was able to adequately explain to Ronnie some of the problems I needed them to handle. Talking to him beforehand ensured that the electricians showed up at the jobs with exactly the right supplies to get the job done right the first time. Cannot recommend them any more highly!!!!!

A breaker went out on my air conditioner. I called at 3 pm on Sunday and they came out an hour later and fixed it. I was happy they came within 2 hours on a Sunday but...I would not hire them again. They charged $75 for a part that you can get for $15 or less, but I needed air conditioning.

They showed up within a couple days of my call and made everything look like it was smooth and easy. They did a good job for us.

This is Wood's description of the work. Good description. They were there at the appointed time. No foolin' around. Took less than an hour. I am very pleased.

I thought they were very accommodating. I did not want overhead electrical lines running across my property, and they had no problem with digging up the yard to put them underground. They did a timely manner. I have had them come out again to do some interior wiring in the house for me.

I am very pleased with the way things went. I feel that they provided me with good services, and they showed me no problems at all. I was very pleased with the courteousness I received and the respect they gave me while in my home. I did not feel as if I was being cheated in any way at all. Everything is still fine, and I still have no complaints.

We had no problems with the one on one dealings from this company. There has been no problems at all with the electric in the house either. We were especially happy with the fact that they had the work done very quickly for us as well.

They were on time and did a good job.

We did some renovations around our home recently, and we had the need for some new wiring, plug ins, light switches, and that sort of thing. So we used Woods electric, and they were very trustworthy. We were given an estimate from them, and they were right on the estimate. Woods are very good and have a lot of ethics. We would certainly refer our friends to them as they are very trustworthy, punctual, efficient and give great reliable estimates.
