They are good, and they are responsive. I had a little issue with her lately, she had surgery lately. I had to take her to an specialist for that. We like them for ordinary pet services. So far I know its an good price. My daughter usually takes her. We have been satisfied. They are my regular vet. The wait time is maybe ten to fifteen minutes. The workers are professional.

Response from West Alabama Animal Clinic
"I apologize that your check in was delayed. We try to keep our staff well informed on things in a timely manner, like the recent Canine Influenza outbreak, but it shouldn’t be at your inconvenience. We will try to do a better job at making sure there are enough employees to accommodate our clients in a timely fashion. I appreciate you bringing this matter to my attention. We aim to provide outstanding customer service for all of our clients and it’s disappointing for everyone when we fall short. I’m glad we were able to start treating Chloe’s diabetes. I know it can be an expensive disease to manage. We’re happy to work with you in the future to keep costs down as much as possible. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. I appreciate your honest feedback and your continued loyalty. Meghan Bingham Practice Manager"

The boarding situation is very humane. There's a good responsiveness to any calls; I may call and get the receiptionist, but I'll get a call back from the vet within 30-45 minutes.

I have been using their services for about three years. Their are conveniently located and they seem to be the most reasonable with their pricing.

We called their office early on Saturday morning and got an appointment for 10:00. The doctor performed a very thorough and professional analysis and treatment. She drained blood from the ear flap, injected a steroid to help prevent recurrence of the bleeding, and packed medication in the ear for the infection.
On that morning the parking spaces were limited, and their waiting area is a little cramped. However, it was worth the inconvenience to get treatment from an excellent doctor.

We showed up at 8 for an 8 a.m. vaccination appointment. They took us on time, were, as always, kind and sweet to our dog, and we were in and out in 10 minutes, smiles all around.

They charge $20 a day to keep the dog. I will also have him neutered and they said it will be around $500. I haven't been able to find any other supplier in Houston that has this food. The food is expensive. I paid $25 for dog bathing. They are expensive. There is no discount for having more services. I don't know if what I'm paying is a good price because it has been a long time since I've had a pet. Their prices are a little steep. The parking is bad. They only have about 3 parking spaces on the front and the side and the traffic is bad. The parking and traffic is just horrible.

They took good care of my dog. I was very pleased with their service. They are good people. They are very clean and health conscious in taking the care about the animal. I told them that I was they were a little high on the pricing and I think they worked with the price and cut it down. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

The front desk receptionist was very pleasant and understanding and actually listened to my situation with Joey. After waiting just a short time I was in seeing the Doctor with Joey and the Doctor was accompained by a assistant, both making sure Joey was not scared and was calmly examined. I was extremely satisfied with both the doctor and assistants handling of Joey while visiting West Alabama Animal Clinic and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in the houston area!

The vets at West Alabama had seen her for the recurrent ear infections Labs seem prone to get and had cured her within two treatments after several other vet hospitals in Houston had failed for years, so it was the logical place to take our beloved Casey. They wanted to see her the next day, at which time, they performed a physical examination and some blood tests, and refilled her hip dysplasia medication. I left feeling relieved after our visit.
West Alabama also took care of my two terriers who got into some and quot;Tom'sand quot; Rat poison one morning, several months ago. Again, quick response on the part of the vets and two other family members were saved from a horrible death. This is a neurotoxin as opposed to the Warfin or blood thinning poison in DeCon.
For those of you who may not be aware, West Alabama Veterinary Clinic is a practice composed of female vets, who last year, in the interest of fairness, hired a male vet. They are a great group of ladies. Having had services in the past couple years from three of them they are my veterinary clinic of choice!

The ACL cost a little over $1000. Overall, it has always been very good. They do a good job. The facility is clean and neat. They are on top of their game. They make sure that our little pet is taken care of. We feel comfortable with their services.

We all were very impressed with the whole experience. We were seen quite promptly. Both cats were perfect gentleman, even our nervous one. I appreciated the fact that they were checked over and given their shots in the examination room. Our prior vet had stopped doing that a few years back. I've always preferred to be with my cats; I just feel it keeps them calmer. They were exceptionally calm through their exams, shots and even claw clipping. They weren't even mad when they got home! This is definitely our new vet.

We waited briefly in the waiting room. The clinic was clean and welcoming the staff the doctors were very skilled and nurturing and our fee's were affordable. They follow up with and excellent website and "pet portal" where we can check on the status of our cats vacines etc..and even upload photos of our pet. We love Dr. Rosser and everyone at the West Alabama Animal Clinic!

My dog and a considerable amount of our money have been going to West Alabama Animal Clinic for about 2 1/2 years for Vet and boarding services. We brought our dog in to be boarded for 2 nights. When we came to pick him up, the front desk staff ignored us and talked amongst themselves. We waited several minutes before being acknowledged, then it took 10 mins for them to find someone to get our dog from the back. When we left I noticed that they had trimmed his nails (as we had requested and paid for) but it looked like it had been done hastily and left extremely jagged edges. Since he is usually tired after boarding he laid on the floor and closed his eyes to , I assumed, rest. When I got home I realized there was a BIG problem with one of his eyes....he couldn't even hold it open. The entire side of his face was soaked with tear production. I couldn't believe they had not noticed this while he was there..they are vets after all!! So we got back in the car and drove back to WAAC. The same discourteous behavior occurred with the front desk staff only this time they were making fun of a client that had just called in on the phone in front of us. We asked to have the vet look at our dog and we were told that he could be brought to the back but WE COULD NOT COME WITH HIM and because they were medicating animals, and we could not talk to the vet because they were TOO BUSY. After complaining that our animal had become injured under their care and this was unacceptable we were left to wait for even longer. Then miraculously the vet COULD see us. The vet was nice and professional, and she examined him for about 8 mins. She tested and confirmed that he had a scratched cornea...which is no surprise since his claws looked like someone had taken to a weed-eater to them, and prescribed some ointment. She refused to accept responsibility for his injury. We gathered him up to go but were stopped at the door to pay out....$90 bill!!!!! For a "comprehensive exam" and medication. Again, we had to argue that that we should not have to pay since the exam was only a result of their actions and they agreed to waive the visit but insisted we pay for the medication. (It was "Policy") After this whole debacle we wanted to speak to a manager but were referred to the office manager, a glorified clerk, who is there only on week days for a few hours. WE WILL NEVER BRING OUR DOG BACK TO WAAC. The office manager did call us the very next day to express her concern. She was reasonable and polite, and promised to look into the discourteous behavior of their staff. She did not agree to refund the money we spent on medication. I expect way more from a vet and so should every pet owner. On a side note when we got home our dog ate and drank like he hadn't had access to food or water so it makes me question their boarding practices.
