Vickers Moving Service

We needed some furniture moved within our school. Alan responded immediately and we had help the same day. Several fireproof file cabinets needed to be moved to a new space within the school, as well as some other office furniture. The staff are so professional and moved these very challenging items without any damage or marking to the floors or entryways through which they had to navigate. In addition to helping our office this week, Alan helped me move items for a charity auction a number of years ago, he has twice moved my personal furniture to storage and has moved my household 5 times over a 22 year period. I would not use any other service. They are professional, responsive, timely and treat your items, home and office with the greatest of care.

Where to start well I don't like giving reviews that are bad to anybody because I am also a business owner and I do what I can to fix issues for clients if they're not happy with me and I'll make sure they're happy. Mr. Alan Vickers what can I say or should I say when can I stop?? I cannot believe how this man is such two-faced crook. He is the most unorganized unethical moving company I have seen in my existence of 40 years in Houston Texas. he did not give me a pre-move price so I gave him benefit of the doubt (as he was nice to me at the beginning) ... I got prices from allied vans, Mayflower moving company, three men and a truck, etc ... Everybody quoted me $4000 - $5000 maximum price. Mr. Vickers decided to charge me $1,000 the first day, 5700 the second day for 13 hours and 5 hours of labor which is closer another thousand dollars for the third day when he should have finished a job in two days. I paid a total of $8,060 to move a three-bedroom for story town-home that occupies two adults and one child. The son of a b**** even held my furniture hostage until he went and cashed the check at the bank. Let me tell you something karma is a b****. He has our furniture in two trucks and one truck in his possession because he planned it that way! He had a plan to screw me from the get go. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL EITHER! All the people online that are making five star reviews have either been moved from small places or less that 10 mile moves for the most part. He damaged my furniture and doesn't even want to acknowledge it. State of Texas has bonds the moving companies have to put up I am going to claim it on his bond he is a very dishonest gentleman highly warn people to not use his services his employees are fantastic they knew exactly what was happening but they can't say a single word because they got to feed their families. The workers even were upset, but afraid to say anything. In my 40 years of being a business I've never written a bad review about another business but this is absolute highway robbery and it is not right and people need to understand what kind of a crook this man is. These guys are amazing!! These guys were prompt, professional and very efficient. The three man crew that moved us into our current house worked through the rain to get us moved in. I would recommend Vickers to anyone!

A crew of 4 showed up on time (Alan Vickers increased the crew from 3 to 4 since there was a threat of rain). They did an excellent job packaging artwork, clothes, personal items, kitchenwares, and limited furniture (we had lost most furniture in a flood). All was delivered without any damage. We appreciate him just charging by time for the crew and materials at a fixed rate. They wisely suggested that we take some small items ourselves since packaging would entail material expenses. There are cheaper movers, but I would use Vickers, who gave us a fair price and did a perfect job.

They leave the area spotless. The workers were nice and genuine.

We moved out of a house about three or four years ago. They did everything perfect with the move out and the move in. I've called them a couple of times to move furniture for me. They had to take apart a big piece of furniture and move it for me and they moved a lot of boxes for me too. I think there were five or six people when I moved four years ago. When I moved furniture there were only three p The workers were all nice and genuine people.

Great experience all around. Communication was prompt and professional. Alan provided a detailed estimate after a brief home visit. He also drove by the new house to scope out access for the moving truck - all to ensure that things went smoothly on move day. When we had a roof leak that threatened to delay our move, Alan was very flexible. On move day, the movers arrived right on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently (coming in under the estimated cost) and were very courteous and responsive to everything we requested. All of our furniture and belongings made it with no damage, and they also did a great job protecting the walls and floors at the new house. We would use them again!

The crew was right on time. They went over the whole building first, then very quickly started loading the truck. They were very careful of our equipment and did a great job. We will be using them again when our new office is ready!

The owner, Alan Vickers, quickly returned my call requesting information and a quote for moving. He came out that evening and did a walk through of the house to be able to provide the best estimate of crew size and the number of trucks necessary to efficiently move. I wanted to move out in the morning be done by lunchtime and then get everything moved into the house by the end of moving day. In order to achieve this Alan suggested 2 trucks and a 6 man crew. He also offered helpful suggestions on packing, where not to worry about overdoing it, and where to be concerned. He gave suggestions on moving and packing of some valuable art work that was very helpful. On moving day, Alan and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. They all had a very positive attitude, were helpful and efficient. They took apart the furniture that needed to be dissembled such as beds and desks, and worked as a team to get the job done. It was clear that this group of men was used to working with each other and it showed in their teamwork. We had the house packed onto the trucks ahead of schedule and before I knew it, after a quick lunch break, they arrived at my new house in Spring. They quickly laid down protective covering over the floors, did a walkthrough of the house with me to make sure they knew which rooms were which and then got after it. Boxes were moved in, furniture was placed where we wanted it, and adjusted to where we were satisfied. The crew was finished ahead of schedule. This was done on a very hot day, but the crew brought plenty of iced down water and did not let the heat get to them. I highly recommend Vickers. Alan and I had a misunderstanding about an aspect of the service, but Alan went above and beyond to make me a satisfied customer. It is clear to me that this company operates with integrity, is focused on customer satisfaction, and when I need to moving services again, I will turn to Vikers.

Erik and his two man crew did a great job moving our office. They are very professional and friendly. Alan answered email promptly and came by during the move to make sure everything was OK. They are not the lowest cost provider but I didn't want the type of reliability problems I previously encountered. I would definitely use them again.
