James is a general contractor who works with a select group of subcontractors on an as-needed basis depending on specifics of a given job.  He has completed two separate projects for our family; the second job as-described above, and the first was a beautiful master closet custom cabinetry job in a previous home.  James is a very knowledgeable and experienced general contractor who is upfront about potential issues down the road and always does his best to ensure satisfaction of his customers from beginning to end of the job.  He hires knowledgeable, experienced, and customer-oriented subcontractors, and regularly asks for client feedback during the job.  While he takes on a variety of projects, some large and some small, I was pleased to note that he consistently spent a lot of time on our job to ensure his subs were getting the necessary oversight and that we were given ample opportunity to make any decisions along the way without delaying the work.  I was impressed with his focus on schedule.  My general experience is that contractors are not to be trusted regarding schedule, but James and his team set realistic dates and made a point to stand by their commitments.  Most importantly, the quality of his team's work was excellent.  It all was completely custom, and it all turned out great.  Just over one year later we are still very satisfied with his work.  We are considering another renovation project in our home and we have requested a bid from him in hopes that we can work with him again.  Finally, I believe his pricing is competitive with others in the custom build / renovation sector.

James was on top of it--timely, professional, knowledgable, kept my goals in mind AND reasonably-priced especially for the excellent quality of work performed.  
I never had to call him and ask "where are you guys"....it was the reverse "my guys are ready to start tomorrow" and they were and they did.  We had the projects done on time despite some weather delays.  
I do believe I asked and was told that the painters had 20+ years experience and you could tell by their quality of work.  They were also careful and considerate.  
As well, I referred Urbani Renovations to a friend who has started work with James on a build-out project and I'm planning on referring the future buyers of this home to James for any additional needs.
