THUNDERBIRD POOL SERVICE INC

The main problem with Thunderbird is a failure to communicate. In the 2 years I've used them, I've never gotten a call from them when something wasn't right. For example, in April this year, they moved my weekly day from Wednesday to Thursday. This is an issue as I had to leave them a way to get into the back yard on the day of my scheduled service. After three weeks of missed appointments, I called to ask why I was not getting service. The owner said because my normal day had been changed. Don't they think that is something that should be communicated to the customer? If I hadn't called, how long would I have gone without getting the pool serviced? Since then, I've had a handful of missed cleanings with no explanations. I don't think the service guys talk to the owner at all who is clueless when I say an appointment has been missed. When I called to tell them they were fired, I left a message and (as usual) heard nothing back. I received a bill for my full amount and only paid the portion for when they actually came. I had to call back and speak with the owner who said he didn't get my message that I had cancelled service. When I told him this whole story as to why I was cancelling, he didn't even say anything to defend himself. Go elsewhere for pool service. This company, nor its customers seem to be the owner's priority. I am rarely a customer who complains about anything, even when mistakes are made. But with the same pattern of poor communication and service here, I had to say something.

No one showed up. The next day I called again and left a message with my telephone number. The following day Joel called and left a message saying he was glad I called, as he had lost my address. I called again twice and left my address and telephone number. On the second call, I was told they would tell Joel, and he would come by my house the next day. I am still waiting and that was two weeks ago. In the meantime, I hired another pool service to do the work. I will wait to submit a report on this pool service until the work is completed.

Thunderbird has terrific and professional workers. They take the time to do their job and make sure it is done correctly. I have been using them for a long time probably about three or four years. In the whole three or four years I have used them I have never had a single problem. Everything has always been fine.

We have them do all the maintenance, service, and upkeep on our pool. They come in once a week. They dig any debris out of the pool, clean or replace the filters, and maintain the proper chlorine and pH balance. They also do any repairs that might be required or necessary.

The pool man returned my call right away and came by to give an estimate. His prices were very reasonable, and he explained that chemical balancing is important to keep the pool from mildewing. The pool service was scheduled weekly, and the pool man is always on time. He does an excellent job and has been referred to a lot of people. He charges me per month, but he does weekly pool checks.
