Great company. Honest. Knowledgeable. Very experienced. Fair prices. Exceptional customer service. Zero BS. Dryer wasn’t heating. Dryer repair tech diagnosed 90V coming from an outlet that should’ve been 220V. Thor Enterprises came out that same day and replaced the faulty breaker. Our house was built in 1978 and has the same breaker box. Danny said it was still in working order and didn’t need to be replaced altogether. Most other companies would’ve wanted to switch the whole thing out for a bigger pay day. You can trust Thor Enterprises to do the job right. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Thor and Danny Hixon. My only regret is not posting this 3 days ago when he and his team replaced my electric service drop cable. They did exactly what I needed done, affordably, promptly and professionally. I had problems with loss of my residence's electricity due to a contractor having partially cut through the service drop cable when they were installing new fiber. Other companies came out and gave me a proposal for the repair work, but they were very pricey and also quoted numerous other things I didn't want or need. Guess they gotta pay for their advertising and those fancy wraps on their trucks. But they should take a lesson from Danny and just do a great job fixing what's broken. BTW, I see Thor would have a perfect 5 star Google Review score if it weren't for one person who called but never left a message, and another who gave a 4 star review but provided no reason. Everyone else is giving 5 star reviews like this one.

They change the plug that had died that wasn't working.

Danny took our call on Sunday morning and was here by about 12:30. He saw us wearing masks and he put one on. He did a quick investigation and found it was a simple problem and corrected it, giving an explanation of what went wrong. The charge for his time and services on a weekend was very reasonable.

It is my extreme pleasure to add my review to the long list of 5 stars reviews for Danny Hixon, master licensed electrician who gets to the root of the problem or provide a service honestly, efficiently and thoroughly. Danny truly is the modern day human Norse God, Thor, who was the defender of Asgard, realm of the gods, and Midgard, the human realm, through great feats of arms in slaying giants. Because of the Texas Freeze, I got suckered into going with a Big Company that told me I needed a brand new furnace. I bought into paying more for the 100% guaranty. Come spring, I discovered that the outside A/C condenser connected to the new furnace did not run. Big Company came out, messed around with the furnace and the A/C and told me that critters escaping the TX Freeze must have crawled in through the vent and chewed the T-STAT wire somewhere from the furnace to the outside. The fix would be replace it with a new T-Stat wire connecting would either run through an ugly outside conduit or cut through the drywall. Big Company told me it wanted $1000, please, Without hesitation, I told them I would think about it. But then Big Company insisted on knowing why I did not accept the offer on the spot. “Ok”, I said, “so I am calling some other electricians. Danny Hixon stood out in my search of Electricians with 5 stars reviews. He was the only one who texted me his thoughts and then later phoned me he could not come that day. It was then I told Danny, another electrician was all set to come the next morning. Danny called later again and told me, he is nearby on his last job, and please allow him to just look at the problem because from what I was describing, it may not be the major job I was led to believe by Big Company. He added that I should still go with the other electrician I expected in the morning, if I was not satisfied and he gave his word he would not charge me. Once at the house, Danny now was able to see that was actually always an HVAC issue. No it was not a $1000 job I was led to believe. In fact, the T-STAT wire was LIVE and well. That wire has red, green, blue, white, yellow, take your pick of colored wires and match those color wires up with the furnace and the A/C unit and the signal goes through. So when Big Company would have replaced the wire for $1000 and the A/C unit would still not have turned on. The wires would never have gotten matched up. I am predicting then Big Company would tell me the AC unit is toast and sell me a $7000 new A/C condenser. And I am still stuck with this ugly $1000 conduit on the side of my house. Danny puts honest service to his customer first and foremost. He tells you to let him worry about how to get the job done, lets you watch him work, and tells you what he is doing so you understand everything. And, he does answer his calls. When you call him, he wants you to text him the problem so he can be analyzing it before he makes the service call. And he will promptly text you back. I don’t think he is worried if you decide to take his information somewhere else, because he is really, above all, concerned about solving people’s electrical problems and he has more than enough customers to keep him busy. Your loss, though, if you do not go with Danny Hixon. Clearly, Danny Hixon loves and takes pride in his excellent work and leaving his customer relieved and happy it’s all done right. Danny Hixon is the consummate professional, honest, efficient, and a superior human being, He is a man of his word. Thank goodness for Danny; there are few people like him that you can trust and that are still around. Danny Hixon knows his stuff. He is a hero, my hero, a gentleman ,and credit to his profession. He earns your trust from the very minute. A superb master electrician, totally professional, thorough, honest to the bone, sincere, and who really cares about helping people, like Thor the Norse God, he is a gentle giant to his customers who defends them against the big company giants.

Danny and his team members were able to come out the same day that I called and addressed the problem right away. I had another company come out and check what was going on a few days prior that gave an outrageous quote and they did not even figure out what the real problem was. Danny was able to locate the problem and had it resolved within the hour. I would definitely recommend this company if you'd like someone honest, knowledgeable, and experienced.

Danny was slightly flustered when I contacted him but he came out gave me an estimate and explained what he would do. I put the project in his hands. He ordered the parts and returned and installed. I would definitely recommend.

I honestly can't describe how thankful I am to Danny, the owner of Thor Enterprises. I am a young, first time homeowner with a garage apartment that I rent out. I had an electrician that I used frequently that had been the electrician for the house I rented previous to buying my home. There would always be problem after problem, but it is an old house. I am not an electrician, so I just assumed that everything my electrician did was done properly and that each problem was unrelated to any other work that was done. Eventually I stopped using him. The power for my house and the garage unit got worse and worse over time and it got to the point where it was a liability. The lights would flicker constantly, the window AC units wouldn't cool as much as they used to as well as several other issues. I saved up and eventually called 3 companies from this site to come over to evaluate the situation and give me an estimate. Each of the 3 electricians that came out was utterly floored when they saw the quality of the work I had previously gotten done. Danny struck me as a very honest and knowledgeable, no bs kind of man and his estimate was the lowest, so I went with him. The estimate he gave me was right before everything with the pandemic began. Like several other people around the world, I began having to live off of whatever I had saved. The whole time I felt anxiety on a daily basis about the possible negative outcomes from my electricity. Danny was incredibly patient, understanding and worked with me. Eventually I was able to get everything to the point where it needs to be. As I said before, I am no electrician but trust me when I say that a blind man could look at the before and after and see a clear difference. I actually ran every single appliance I have everywhere on the property at the most power consuming setting and didnt see a single flicker. The AC units are getting the power they need and my house is cool again! I am just so happy that I am able to sleep at night without worrying about my power. If I could change one thing about my short 5 year span as a homeowner I would make it so I had only ever had Danny do work on my property. I will be using Danny exclusively for all electric work that I need for as long as he is doing the work. I honestly and sincerely recommend that anyone needing an electrician does the same

Danny was able to respond quickly & did great work. He offered to look around & see if there were any other electrical needs. He found something & gave an honest assessment of when the work might be needed. This is notable because I received another estimate for the ceiling fan from a rival company. That person did the hard press & tried to get me to do the additional work. I would call Danny anytime!

Really smooth! Danny was knowledgeable and was very helpful giving me a general overview of how the control box for the fan actually worked. He fixed it quick was reasonable priced

Thor's team did an excellent job!! They found the problem quickly and were a pleasure to work with. Their price was also very fair and they honored the Angie's list coupon. Thor's performance was all the more impressive since a different company that we had called first could not trace the circuit for the nonworking outlet or diagnose the problem.

I called about 1:00 am about crackling in my electrical panel. Danny has me flip the main and then he was at my place about 30 minutes later. Once he opened the panel and started removing breakers it was an obvious I needed a new panel. He quoted me a price and I had them come back later that morning to install. The installation went well, his guys were very professional and did a great job. I will call Thor from now on if I have any electrical work to be done. I highly recommend l!

Highly recommend Danny and his crew! Called him shortly after 8 a.m. for a quote to install the need electrical for my new hot tub. He showed up shortly after 9 with his crew gave me a quote which was a fair number and began the install . His crew was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The left the job site clean and the completed job exceeded my expectations and I'm one of those OCD perfectionist, so that say's a lot! I have found my electrician for all future work.

From the beginning I was impressed with Danny Hixon, he responded quickly, came out for the estimate the same day, gave me the price and emailed me a detailed proposal the same afternoon. We had trouble getting started with the work due to lots of rain, but he kept me updated with calls each week and as soon as there was a break in the weather, his crew came out. Jose and Orlando were on time, professional , friendly, considerate of my home and worked fast to get my electricity back on. Danny gave me a better price and, he always answers his calls. Now that's what I'm talking about!

Best price, Quality work. Our a/c guy suggested we put a surge protector on the a/c. Since we had already researched whole house surge suppression, we decided it was time to protect the electronics in our house including the new air conditioner. Danny Hixon has many years of experience and agreed that the EATON CHSPT2ULTRA was one of the best whole house surge protectors. His install price was the best of 3 quotes. We decided to get the surge protection for all electronics of the whole house (included a/c) as it was only little more than the cost of the surge protector for just the a/c. Thus we got the protection for the a/c and the spikes generated internally from the a/c and house electronics. Danny Hixon's customer interaction was great as he explained every step he took which also included inspection and tightening all connections of the breakers. Once installed Danny explained that it is not a complete installation until the ohm test of the ground is done so that any surge could properly go to ground. Other quotes did not mention this test. When our grounding did not pass Danny found and tightened the connection to the grounding rod and put us back into compliance. His philosophy is to try a fix first and replace if necessary.

Danny had to come back three times before it was all working correctly. The installation of the fan went as expected however the light kit did not work. I contacted Home Depot and received a new light kit. Danny installed it and still the light did not work. I again contacted Home Depot and talked to a technician who said I needed a new controller for the remote. Once that was installed both the fan and the light could be controlled by the remote. Danny would not accept any additional payment for having to make the two additional trips. Each trip was confirmed by phone and he arrived within minutes of the agreed upon times. He worked quickly and carefully. All work was done in a very professional manner. Cost was very reasonable.

I initially contacted Danny two weeks ago after I plugged an extension cord into an outlet and noticed sparks of light emitting from a completely different outlet on the other wall in the same room. He showed up the same day and fixed my issue without missing a beat. I'm very impressed with the service that I received from Danny and his team. No more issues with that outlet. I'm very happy with his repair work and it helped me move forward with repairs that I had been delaying. This week he also repaired my porch light (stuck light bulb base, broken timer), installed my ceiling fan, and repaired the fluorescent light fixture in my kitchen. Once again, I'm very happy. I'm looking forward to working with him again in the very, very near future.

Went very well. I was asking the electrician questions about power surges and lightning strikes. He checked the ohm measurements at the grounding rod for our building, and discovered that the ground rod was way too short and the ohm measurement was therefore far too high. I was then able to contact our HOA to fix the ground rod for my building and arrange to have the other buildings checked for the same issue. I will definitely use them again for any future issues. As far as fixing my outlets, he determined that it was not necessary to replace the entire outlet - it only needed a smaller repair. I certainly appreciated his honesty on that issue.

Excellent! Danny and his helper Orlando arrived exactly as promised and promptly set to work. I had 5 electrical needs: 1. The ballast in my 4' by 8" fluorescent ceiling fixture in my kitchen had gone bad. I purchased two new ballast-free LED bulbs at Home Depot but the fixture had to be rewired to use the new bulbs. Danny rewired the fixture and installed the LED bulbs. I have light in my kitchen again! 2. An outlet in the guest bedroom that controlled the ceiling fan/light fixture and closet light went out. Danny tested the outlet and said this involved a neutral wire that had gotten loose somewhere. Orlando had to check all the sockets in the house to find the right one, which he did. I have light in the bedroom again! 3. I have the same fluorescent light fixture in my garage that was in my kitchen. One of the bulbs there had burned out. Danny installed two new fluorescent bulbs that I had bought in this fixture and carted off the old bulbs for me. 4. Danny replaced all the 9V batteries in my smoke alarms and tested them. (I have 9' ceilings and don't like getting on a ladder to do this). 5. The ceiling fan in my family room had a socket that seemed to be stripped and I couldn't replace the light bulb. The problem was that there was a cap on the light bulb to make it fit the socket that I had unwittingly removed when I took out the burned out bulb. I had the right size bulb and Danny replaced it for me. Danny and Orlando completed all these repairs very efficiently in an hour. Everything went very smoothly and they were very professional. Danny explained a lot of things to me which I really appreciate since I have very little electrical knowledge. I felt like he was very honest, knowledgeable and thorough. I felt the price was very reasonable for all the repairs that were done. I would recommend Danny to anyone and will definitely call him for any electrical needs in the future.

Had a circuit breaker go bad on a Sunday morning. This is typically a simple job to repair, so I pulled it out to replace with a part from Home Depot only to discover the circuit breaker had melted the connection to the panel. Uh-oh, now it's out of my pay grade. I still had power to the remaining circuits, but the one circuit that failed was the upstairs AC unit, which in Houston in July is pretty important, at least my 3 kids who sleep upstairs think so. Anyway, called several electrical contractors, none could come out until Tuesday or Thursday next week to even take a look. Left a message with Danny at Thor Enterpises, he called me back very quickly. I sent him a few pictures of the situation, he hunted around (on a Sunday) for parts that might enable a simple repair, rather than full replacement. Then we both accepted that complete replacement was the only option, but it would be better to wait until Monday to the work, when he'd have his full teams available. He knew the AC was out though, so he came by on Sunday, temporarily rerouted the AC power to the still functioning oven circuit to get us through the night, then gave me a reasonable quote for replacement. His two employees came by the next day and they were professional, courteous and efficient in their job. Overall I was very happy with their service. I'd definitely recommend Danny and his crews for Electrical work.
