Reggie, the original owner I had dealt with in the past died around October 2018. His son, Chad, has taken over the business. I gave him numerous chances, as I realize, he was dealing with a lot. My patience has run out. They were supposed to come on November 9, 2018 but rescheduled for November 12, 2018. The driver was terrible and backed over two sections of my lawn leaving deep ruts, instead of backing up straight on the driveway. He also ran over my drainage system emitter valve. That item is $13.99 and a special order item, which Chad stated he would reimburse me. He assured me the wood was dry, as tested with his moisture meter. It takes four to eight hours to burn one piece of wood. It turns black and smokes. The wood is not dry. I called/texted and complained and he stated they would swap it out. I told him I only needed one or two of my five racks switched out, as the other wood will be dry by next year. He said they would come December 10 and the driver would bring $14 to reimburse me for the broken valve - no one showed. Then it was changed to December 12, and no one came. Chad went on and on how restaurants want green wood for their cooking and smoking. I don't have a restaurant. I want to use my fire place. Then he tried to get me to purchase oak, which he stated was dry. I don't want oak. I like the light scent of pecan. I have green pecan wood which doesn't burn and I can't use. Another vendor I spoke to in the summer, was selling green pecan wood for $380 for a face cord. By rights I should be reimbursed $134. $500 - 380 = $120, plus the cost of the $14 valve. If Chad just wants to deal with restaurants where he doesn't have to dry wood; that's his perogative but he should have told me and I could have purchased my wood elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! Delivery was late, but the unload went fairly quickly. I was assured the wood was seasoned and would have no trouble burning. Well - the wood wasn't seasoned, and when I placed a log on an already hot fire started with wood purchased from another source, the house quickly filled with smoke, ash and soot. I called Reggie at the Wood Shed to let him know he could come pick up the wood he just delivered and return my money. No answer, so I sent several texts. After 3 weeks of trying to reach this guy, I finally heard back from him. He apologized, promised to change out the wood with guaranteed good wood and after 3 missed delivery appointments, the new wood arrived. It was worse than the first batch. It was unseasoned, wet, rotted, full of bugs, full of knots, and the logs were so badly bent, I could not use the log splitter to split about 25% of it. I split what I could in hopes that it would help the wood dry out for next season rather than try to get this guy to come through. I just didn't want the hassle of trying to reach this unresponsive unprofessional business. As info - I purchased oak - I can't even use this stuff in our firepit - all it does is hiss and smoke. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I called on a Tuesday and they delivered and stacked 1 cord of seasoned post oak on Saturday for $455 including the $20 Angie's List discount. The delivery truck called several times to keep me informed of when they would be arriving. While hauling and stacking the wood, the workers were courteous and professional.

"Hello Mrs. [Member name removed]. We have never had termites in our wood yard or firewood. If you purchased your firewood in the winter and then discovered them in your wood in the Springtime, they could have come from anywhere outside or in an area close to your house. We would have no control on that. We would never deliver wood infested with termites and we have never had any wood with termites. I do hate that your wood was not usable in the Spring time, but we can not help you on this one."

The Wood Shed did great. Wood was good quality. They delivered it the day after my order as promised and they stacked it neatly. I had requested that the chiminea wood be cut to a specific length. They were able to accommodate the special order with no issues.

I called in the morning and discussed price of a 1/2 cord of firewood. Reggie (the owner) answered the phone himself and was very patient and courteous. He asked me what part of town I lived in. He was loading a truck for a restaurant about 5 miles away from me - so we agreed on a price and scheduled the delivery for that afternoon. The driver called me from the restaurant and arrived at my house a few minutes later. A two man team unloaded and stacked the firewood in short order.
I have built a couple of fires in my fire pit with the firewood - it burns very well - almost no smoke. I would definitely use these guys again.
Reggie also texted me later in the evening to ask how everything went. I appreciated the personal follow-up.
I don't expect I will be lucky enough to get same day delivery again - it just worked out this time.

Very nice company. I spoke with Reggie and ordered 1/2 cord of firewood ( 1/4 oak and 1/4 pecan). I spoke with him on a Friday and the wood was delivered the following Wednesday. He had even offered to deliver it the previous weekend, but I was not available for delivery then. Very friendly and courteous. Three workers arrived on time (after they called to let me know when they would be coming). The wood was was very neatly stacked at my home, and the workers even helped me move a small amount of patio furniture so that they would have a clear path to the stacking area. VERY pleased with this company. I immediately recommended them to my uncle-in-law! Will definitely call them again.

"We have checked our records and have no sale from you for our company for any products. We contacted Angies list and they have contacted you and you never responded. We have no delivery order or receipt of funds from you by name or address. You have never been our customer. We have asked Angies List to remove this review, but they have been waiting for your response which has so far never arrived. THerefore, this must be a bogus review. If we delivered to you, you would have an invoice and we would have some method of payment posted ."
