Paul and his wife, Shelley (who acts as dispatcher) saved my life. I had a water supply line break between meter and house during Harvey. Shelley got Paul out to me the next day and he and his crew found the leak, excavated it out and repaired it so that I could have water service in my house. He was gracious, professional and focused on getting my line repaired. His rates were reasonable, and he even turned my gas back on and lit my hot water heater. I was literally crying on the curb when he pulled up, but able to smile when he left, Paul is my new lifetime plumber and I'd recommend him to anyone.

Paul is a fantastic plumber. He has worked on our older home since before we bought it and before he started his business. A neat and tidy job, thorough and considerate even through our much longer job (when we has a gas leak- climbing under and digging around our home etc). He's quite busy, but worth the wait. If you have an emergency though he can schedule you. I quite depend on him, and his wife who answers the phone to help with scheduling. He's very fair though not cheap. But I trust him with the small and big stuff.

Paul used his tv camera on a plastic snake to show the damage to the old lines and explain the need for this work. He also tried to pursue lower cost approaches before confirming that the full replacement was needed.
The job was very professionally done. They found a way to tunnel under the patio without damaging it. They also added additional clean-out lines, which will enable rapid service if there is any problem in the future.
This is the most expensive of many jobs that the Plumbing Guy has done for us over the years. All of them have been done in a highly professional manner, with Paul drawing on his deep expertise to explain the approaches taken. I highly recommend the Plumbing Guy to anyone seeking a plumber.

Paul and his crew are extremely professional, knowledgeable as well as honest.  He did not suggest that we replace all of our pipes like another company did.  He is our new plumber!

Paul and his team did an amazing job. They found ways to keep the costs down, while still providing high quality repairs. He was punctual, honest, reliable and provided great service, Shelly, his wife, scheduled his service, reconfirmed before he came and called to follow up after everything was completed. They make a great team!

A neighbor refer The Plumbing Guy. So I looked for them on Angie's List - they had good reviews. I called the provider, explain the problem and schedule an appointment. The provider arrived on time - the company sent a young man. He checked the leak while he was on the phone with another person (a plumber?).. Once the call was resumed, he "kind of" explained to me what the problem was and then suggested that we installed a new toilet fixture. He also suggested that we replaced the flush valve, which we had done a few months prior to that date. When I did not agree with his suggestions, he became inpatient and rude. In conclusion: the leak was fixed! So I didn't have any complains. Although the tank still works fine with no leaks, I was not impressed by their performance.

Our kitchen sink stopped up and the pipes were leaking. After hours of trying to fix it myself, I finally asked the president of our homeowners association if he knew of a good plumber and he recommended - enthusiastically - and quot; The Plumbing Guy,and quot; Even though he was booked solidly, his wife, Shelley, found a way to squeeze us in and he arrived ahead of schedule!
He was fast, efficient, and thorough. He didn't seem to mind at all that I watched and asked questions; he was very courteous and informative. He found the clog (grease way down the line), he removed and replaced the corroded and damaged pipes, cleaned up thoroughly when he was done, and made sure everything worked smoothly before he left. His fee was fair and square and worth every penny.
We will definitely recommend him to others - in fact, I called Shelley to book him for a few other projects that we've been putting off before he was even out of the driveway!

Paul and Shelly are recent immigrants from south Africa. Paul and Shelly had a thriving plumbing business in Johannesburg, South Africa. They had a lovely home in a walled subdivision. Paul went to a nearby mall to do some shopping one afternoon. Three young African males accosted him and demanded his money. He handed over his wallet, but they shot him in the stomach anyway. He was operated on and hospitalized. He recovered. Shortly after leaving the hospital, Paul and his wife left their house and their business and came to Houston where there was still an active building trade. That was less than ten years ago. Paul was a laborer on our new house working for the plumbing contractor. He put in 12 bathrooms and other sinks in kitchen and laundry room applications. He was such a good worker that when we had any issues with our new fixtures etc, we requested him. He always arrived promptly and behaved professionally. If he was going to be late, he would phone and let us know. When he went out on his own, we were one of his first customers. I don't know about many of the charges, because much of the work was pursuant to the guarantee by the builder and sub-contractor. When he went out on his own , we became one of his first customers. We have watched him go from working by himself to having a van labelled and quot;the Plumbing Guyand quot; and an assistant. Next he had a bigger truck and 4 assitants. Now he has at least 2 trucks and several employees. We had so many workers working on our not quite finished house that I never learned all their names. I called him and quot; The Plumbing Guy.and quot; I guess other people did too. The name stuck. You can find his phone number under The Plumbing Guy. It is my pleasure to give this plumber a stellar endorsement. It is a mom and pop operation. His wife takes the job requests over the phone. I believe his prices are fair. For one thing he knows what he is doing, and he fixes it right the first time. He is living the American dream, and we are so happy to have this plumber in Houston instead of South Africa. Early on when I asked him how he liked it here given the fact that South Africa has a perfect climate with mountain and sea views. He told me he loved it here. When I mentioned the heat and humidity, he said he didn't care. He loves it here in his family's new home.

He's unbelievable. He's prompt, he's informative, he stayed until the job was done and his price was better than the competition. When he located our problem he called in extra people to get the job done and they stayed all night so that we could have water.

This plumber is a south African transplant who was in the plumbing business for years in south Africa before concerns about security required his move to the states. We started with him when he was an employee of the people that worked on building our house over 6 years ago. He now has his own plumbing company with two vans. He is responsive and he comes when he says he will which is half the battle. If he is going to be late or have to postpone, he phones. Plumbers can't always anticipate how long a job will take until they are on the scene. Thus, there can be delays because of unforeseen problems with an earlier job. However, this plumber will let you know if there will be a delay. He is always polite, knowledgeable, and he cleans up after himself. The name of his company came from his clients who would say and quot;the plumbing guy is here.and quot; when he arrived. I

Paul Weitz visited my house to make an estimate to replace my water heater. He's busy, so it took a while to get him to look at the job. His wife was helpful in this regard as she handled my calls. He was professional and knowledgeable. I considered the bid after looking up the water heater specifications and price on line. Of the three bids I had, I chose Paul based on quality and price. I was not disappointed. He and his co-workers replaced the heater and took away the old heater. I am very pleased with the work. If I do have any trouble, he has promised to be very responsive in fixing it.

It took about a week, but it was a big job and in the end it seems to be holding up well. They were especially careful in packing the soil back under the house so as to help prevent any shifting of the foundation.

Paul Weitz and his young assistant were professional and got the job done, and saved us several thousand dollars!
We had a backed up laundry room drain and had first called John Moore, who sent out a plumber, a couple months back. The John Moore plumber determined, based on and quot;mudand quot; on the end of his auger, that the drain pipe, which went from the laundry room and kitchen sink underneath our house, had collapsed. A cost of a re-route would be over seven thousand dollars, with the John Moore plumber provided a written estimate. We were dismayed, to say the least. We lived with the situation, trying to figure out what to do, and when to budget it.
We next called and quot;The Plumbing Guy,and quot; to simply repair/replace a very old, stubborn leaking shower faucet, which had to be done anyway. That went fine, and The Plumbing Guy's charge was less than feared. So, after a couple weeks, we took the plunge and asked Paul Weitz to come back and look at the BIGGER problem, which we had been putting off: the and quot;collapsed drain pipe.and quot;
Well, Mr. Weitz went to work, and over the course of a couple hours, determined: (A) There was no and quot;busted drain pipeand quot; - Paul Weitz cleared the line out to the main sewer line; (B) found a second, partial clog from the laundry room adn cleared that; and (C) determined that the drain pipe did not even go under the house!
and quot; The Plumbing Guyand quot; - Paul Weitz and his assistant - explained every step along the way, as they were trouble shooting. Paul is very focused and determined when working on the job. They ran the power auger multiple times, down each drain entrance to make sure every thing was cleaned properly. Cost was less than $300, which was well worth it, given both money saved, and the time that and quot; The Plumbing guy put into the job.
Highly recommended.
