they took great care of my dogs. After our vet died, we moved to a location closer to our home.

A on all of it.? In an experience that always is awful, they went out of their way to be compassionate.? It was a bad thing because of this dog.? I had just lost my job and they were 100% sweet about everything.? Besides like magic powers to heal a 12 year old German Shepard mix, there was nothing they could have done differently.

They've been my vet for almost 10 years.? They charge whatever the cost of the blood test.? It was like $50.? I was in and out in 10 minutes.? The vet tech ask follow-up questions.? My dog was calm the whole time.? There is nothing really they could improve on.? Very brief wait time.??They accommodated my schedule.

They have good compassionate vets. They kept him all day to deal with the anesthetic. They kept him until they were sure he was ready to come home. They are excellent. They are good people, they do a good job. They care about the animals.

Great. I know they're more expensive than most, but the quality is really good.

I think they are pricey. When I go with an appointment, maybe five minutes, ten at the most. The vet interacts with my pet beautifully. That is why I go. I have a very difficult dog, and he loves the vet. All the vets there, I go to who is available. They are all very good. Very compassionate, very caring, they follow up. Can't say too much more than that. I have run out of superlatives.

I had taken my dog here since 2007 and was generally always quite pleased with the level of service. However, approximately, a year and a half ago, her original vet was no longer working a full schedule and I had to start seeing a new vet at Montrose. During one of my recent visits, she told me that my dog had the beginning stages of cataracts and would also need some dental extractions.
When the dental surgery occurred, I was quite alarmed and dismayed at the level of professionalism and lack of sound judgment that took place. I dropped my dog off at 7:30 AM as instructed (it took almost 20 minutes for someone at the front desk to get to me), but they did not start surgery until 2PM (they close the office at 6PM). I specifically asked to be called BEFORE they put my dog under anesthesia so I could gauge what types of services they would be performing (ie how many extractions) and what the cost estimate was going to be. This DID NOT happen. I called around 2PM asking about the status and they told me my dog was already under anesthesia and having the surgery performed. The vet informed me of what was being done and that I would be receiving a discount on my bill as I had brought her in for a checkup before the surgery. However, they then told me that there was a high likelihood I would have to take my dog to an after hours emergency clinic when I picked her up that evening so she could be monitored over night. While they said they would cover the cost, I was extremely alarmed that I might have to cart my dog half way across town in a weakened condition. My dog was in surgery for almost 4 hours. When I picked her up that evening, I was told that I could either take her to the clinic or home and monitor her closely. I took her home. I was then told that I could take care of the bill the next day.
It took another 4 hours for my dog to fully recover. I called the office first thing the next morning to take care of my bill, but asked to speak to the office manager first to voice my concerns. I was told she was unavailable but would call me back. During the next few hours, 4 separate individuals called asking when I was going to “take care of” my bill – and that I would not be receiving any discount. When I finally spoke to the office manager and explained what occurred, she offered little accountability. I explained to her that given the lateness of the day, they should have called me to ask if I would like to reschedule the day of the surgery or have her kept overnight and for them to start the procedure in the morning. I asked to be transferred to reception to pay my bill.
Approximately 15 minutes later, their receptionist phoned me and asked if “in future, I’d like to be paired with a different vet”. When I said I wasn’t sure because I didn’t know if I’d be returning due to what had happened with the dental surgery, he said “I don’t really need to know the details, I’m just calling to ask if you want a different vet.” I said “heck no” and hung up.
In my opinion and experience, this clinic has serious escalating issues with customer service, organization and responsibility. I will not be returning. Ever.
P.S. I have since taken my dog to a more experienced vet that specializes in geriatric dogs (found on Angie's List) and he said that while they did a decent job on my dog's teeth, my dog did NOT have the beginning stages of cataracts.

My dog spent a lot of time with the SPCA before I adopted him, so there were a lot of questions about what shots he had and had not had and I needed someone to help me figure a way forward to make sure was up to date and protected. The vet I worked with at Montrose was very thorough and most importantly took her time in explaining to me the shots that she was and was not recommending and why. I'm glad to have established them as the vet for the future.

Overall, the experience has been very good. The vets are knowledgeable. The price is a little high, but the quality is great. They are an emergency clinic, so sometimes I do have to wait for a little bit. I've been going here for 5 years, and I'm happy with their services.

I have been very happy with Montrose Veterinary Clinic and have used them for years. They seem very caring towards the pets and have a great bedside manner. They seem to really care about your animals. When my 2 older dogs passed away they sent me sympathy cards and I thought that was very nice of them. Their pricing is reasonable.

I called the Vet Clinic in a panic. My dog appeard to be choking on a treat and blood was everywhere and she was acting like she couldn't breathe. She kept opening her mouth really wide and was paying at your mouth. Her eyes were bugging out and she was panicking, as was I. I had just had surgery and couldn't walk much less drive a vehicle. I had to scoot down our front steps and down the sidewalk on my bum to unlock the front gate. Dr. Ali and a Sonya showed up at my home in less than 15 minutes, dislodgesd the item and spent time calming me and SunnyBunz down. They are the kindest, most thoughtful, wonderful people I have EVER met!!!! I will NEVER change vets. They are WONDERFUL! I thank God I live only a few minutes from them and would NEVER go anywhere else!

It was our first time there. We entered and completed the paperwork and they saw us very quickly. The exams were very thourough and they completely explained the results. Since we are new to the area and didn't know answers to some of the specific questions, they contacted our prior vet and developed a complete picture of the dogs current health and trends. One of the dogs is extremely shy and they were very considerate in her examination. In short, we have found our new vet and I would be happy to find a personal doctor that I like as well.

They are pricey, but I get what I pay for. I have to watch their billing because they will charge me a disposal fee for hazardous waste. When I had to put one of our greyhounds down, they were so kind and they made what was a horrible situation a good outcome. The veterinarian was crying and so were the technicians because they knew Thomas. They knew him for a long time and she was lame in one leg and was abandoned. She got here to Texas all the way from Florida and I have no idea how she got here. I spent about $500 the last time I used them.

I started using this Clinic when I moved to Montrose in September of 2008. They have treated my three greyhounds and our PBGV. They went through putting my oldest greyhound to sleep due to injuries and her age. They were so kind, patient, loving and just absolutely wonderful with Promise and my family while she passed. Dr. McDaniel was as upset as we were and was so gentle with her. Then they mailed me Promise's footprint in a plaque which I had no idea they did and it had her name on it with her date of birth and date of passing. There was a beautiful card signed by everyone in the clinic with a beautiful poem about her also enclosed. They are a little pricey but it is worth it to me because of the kind of treatment we get for all our furbabies.

THIS IS A MODERN, CLEAN, SPACIOUS CLINIC. THE VETERINARIANS, ALL OF WHOM ARE WOMEN, ARE GENTLE WITH AND SEEM GENUINELY CONCERNED ABOUT MY PETS. WHEN MY PET HAD SURGERY, THE SURGERY WAS COMPLETED SOONER THAN I EXPECTED AND THE VET CALLED ME IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS TO LET ME KNOW HOW IT WENT AND TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT I COULD EXPECT. WHEN THE VETS DETECT A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS ATTENTION FROM A SPECIALIST, THEY WILL REFER YOU TO SOMEONE ELSE RATHER THAN TRY TO HANDLE THE PROBLEM ON THEIR OWN. THE CLINIC IS WELL-STAFFED AND THE EMPLOYEES WORK QUICKLY TO GET YOU IN AND OUT. WHEN YOUR PETS NEED TO BE SEEN ON SHORT NOTICE, THE STAFF WILL DO WHAT THEY CAN TO FIT YOU IN, ALTHOUGH THE NUMBER OF VETS AND THE LONG OFFICE HOURS GENERALLY MEAN THAT YOU CAN GET AN APPOINTMENT EVEN ON SHORT NOTICE.
