My second visit to Dr. Oeben. I was referred by Save a Cat Rescue where I adopted two kittens. So far, my experience with this vet is far superior to any vet I have used in Houston. Great attention to detail and all staff are warm and caring.

Dr. Oeben is wonderful with my cats. She takes the time to visit with each of them. She talks quietly to them so not to stress them out any further than they already are. She explains what she is doing and she answers all of my questions. She ran blood work on my older kitty who is considered a senior to get a baseline reading. When she got the results back later that day, she called me and explained that a few of the readings were in the high range of normal. We talked about what action I could take and what needed to be done in the future. If I have any further questions, I know that I can call her and either she or someone in her office will get back to me promptly.

The doctor is very nice and sweet but she is not so knowledgeable. I found she was outdated with respect to treatments and was scared of performing some procedures. I saw that she prescribes antibiotics and steroids to almost all patients instead of funding and tackling the underlying issues. I do not want to think what would have happened to my cat if I had not changed doctors at time.

The office was very clean and well decorated. The receptionist was friendly and effecient. Dr. O was very caring and gentle with the cats as was her assistant. She did not try to push services that I did not need.

One of my cats is a 20 pounder and while sweet, is a terror to remove from the house. I needed a vet to show up at my home and treat him there.

Excellent care for sick animals and healthy ones too. Dr. Oeben provides high tech care and down home service in a friendly neighborhood setting. Her staff is marvelous and will bend over back wards to accommodate cats and people alike.

Carolyn Oeben is the name of the veterinarian that I use. She has been absolutely wonderful with my cat. I think that she is very caring and really understands what pet owners are going through when their cat is sick.

I have high praise for Doctor Oeben and her staff. It's very clear that they love cats and are committed to their well being. My cat is not well behaved, but Dr. Oeben does her best with her and is very compassionate. The best part of their office is that it's dog-free, and each exam room is accessed directly off the lobby (so if you have an unruly cat, or a sick one, they'll put them in an exam room right away.) They also are very active in adoptions. And apparently, for certain circumstances, she'll do house calls. I haven't tried it, but it's comforting to know it's an option.
