Jonathon has helped my on a number of tasks but really appreciate his help on inspecting my new home prior to us purchasing! His equipment and expertise is phenomenal. I have had inspections before in the past from other inspectors and only got a 5-8 page report. Not with Jonathon, I got a detailed 27-30 page report on every item that I could go back to Perry Homes to get addressed. I really appreciated his eye for detail and for his promptness in getting to my inspection. Thanks again!

Was effortless.

Jonathan Lang was prompt and thorough. He was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the inspection. The house was nearly new, less than a year old, and still we were surprised at the issues uncovered. As they say 'even inspect the new ones' I was present for part of the inspection at the end so he could go over the issues with me and our realtor. He inspected for us the electrical, plumbing, slab, irrigation system,roof,grounding, etc. he covered everything I believe. He found a rather big issue with a hot water heater (located in attic) that needed immediate attention which was important since the house was unoccupied most of the time. He contacted the listing agent and received permission to shut the water off, as the heater's shut off valve was not operational. This potentially prevented flooding in the home. He was patient and took time to explain things clearly, even answering general maintenance questions and suggesting steps to take in the future. This is our fourth home purchase, and Jonathan was by far the most thorough inspector we have used, though the other's were also good. The home was about 3400 square feet, and it took about 3.5 hours. I would recommend Mr. Lang to my family and friends. When I called for an appointment, he called back from my message promptly. He gave me times available and in real estate you just have a small window for the inspection. I had the report that night via email, and I could forward it to my realtor for addressing with the sellers. It was a very thorough and expedient process.

Jonathan Lang was the inspector. He showed up for the appointment 10 min early (and we HATE it when people are late). 
Immediately shook our hand and gave his business card. He also showed his drivers license verifying his authenticity. He was
extremely professional and courteous. He took air quality samples placing his machine on a tripod (we had to have our
inspection redone due to the lack of info from the last lady who charged us $300; she just swang her little tester around). He took many pictures, swabbed several areas and climbed into our attic. (The last lady did not go into the attic because we have a 
regular ladder to climb).  He included in his report our HVAC specific info, numerous pictures, and all other info he found. 
Highly recommend him. He is definately a professional. We did not list the price of his service because our builder paid for it, but don't waste your money on someone cheaper or inefficient when your are dealing with mold. We only lost time that could have
been taken on the Remediation process.

They were very hard workers and did a very thorough inspection. I also got a list from them of things I should do after I bought the house. I had the results of the inspection within a week. The pricing was also very fair.

I researched home inspectors for the Houston area on Angie's List and found there were not many reviews for them but Texas R E Inspection's reviews were telling so I called him. I asked if he could accommodate my son's work schedule and arrange for the end of the inspection to be late in the day so my son could attend and get a summary. He said no problem and my son met him at 5:30pm for the summary.
My son is a first time home buyer away from family in another state and was attending the inspection with just his realtor. Jonathan was thorough and
detailed in his report which including explanations and photos. Jonathan was available to me, as the Mom, by phone and my son for follow up questions. He even investigated the type of bug ( not a termite) that would cause the wood damage he noticed. He has also offered to be present when an insurance adjuster will be needed to evaluate roof damage.
I am a realtor in Scottsdale, AZ and have just a couple of  inspectors I would gladly recommend, and I would have no hesitation recommending Jonathan Lang for an inspection in Houston, TX. Excellent job!

I called to schedule an appointment.  He worked with me to schdule on a Saturday as I could not meet during the week.  He arrived promptly at the appointment time, explained what he would do, stopped periodically to update us on some of his findings.  When termites were found, he called in an additional company to provide an immediate inspection and quote.  Once completed, he emailed me a very detailed report that I have used to start repairs in the home I ultimately purchased.

The overall experience was Excellent. Jonathan was very thorough, explained the entire process, answered all questions in a manner we could understand. The inspection report itself was excellent quality, detailed, organized, superior to any I had seen before.
