During our initial house assessment 2.5 weeks ago we noticed multiple things that according to the contract and just your common sense had to be fixed by this management company before tenants move. Some major ones were: cleaning properly the house including all the appliances which were left dirty, retouching the marks and scratches on the walls, changing AC filters, fixing not working fireplace, changing all light bulbs burnt out, clean all the drawers from crumbs and dirt, remove dead bugs in the light globes, clean ceiling fans, paint the windows which have new wood that has never been primed etc.......). It was a big list and we did take pictures of all these issues, but then we agreed to give them a week to fix everything.
So we booked our movers to come in a week time hoping for the best. But when we stopped by the house 5 days later to check its condition, barely 50% was done. They did repaint few marks on the walls, changed the light bulbs, and lightly clean the house, but the fridge, dishwasher and the drier were not even touched, the same like all the cabinets and drawers, the bathrooms still had dust and hairs everywhere, the fireplace not fixed, windows not painted. It was very disappointing.
Unfortunately, it was too late to cancel our move and as we had been already paying for this house, we had to move in anyway.
It has been already 9 days since we moved in, but they still have not sent anyone to fix the fireplace and other broken things, or paint the rest of the walls and windows. We sent multiple requests online and tried to call, but looks like they are not very keen to help us.
