I called office and spoke with three people. Can't remember first one, but second was Jessica, she transferred me to Diane. Diane said someone would call me back, but I still haven't heard from anyone, and it has been 4 days now. Rating provided is solely due to a promise to call me back, but I still haven't received a call. I have sent two messages to them through Angie's List, most recent one was a few minutes ago. I marked Yes to hire again, since it is required (I couldn't submit without clicking Yes or No), and I would like to have someone come look at our pump. I am willing to hire, but I need them to respond.

The work was provided for one of my customers. They rerouted the lines so a pool house could be built. My customer was happy so I am sure they did a great job. This company has been in business a long time.

The pump had to be cleaned and this was quickly solved - not a rocket science. However, there are a couple things that signal about non-professionalism of this company.
1) The main issue is that the technician did not give me a receipt for the money I paid. He said, their company does not give receipts. Huh???? Are they trying to avoid taxes??
It is very unprofessional and shady operation. If I have a choice in the future I would not use a shady company.
2) The technician was supposed to call 30mins ahead of arrival time. Instead, he called when he was already there (and I was 10mins away at a grocery store). This is inefficient - he had to wait, so he got less work done in a day, and he made next customer after me wait longer. Also made me drop everything at a store and run home.
All could have been avoided if he called like promised - when leaving the previous client, 30mins ahead of time. Again, very unprofessional.

They are a small operation and you tend to deal with the same people each time. They do quality work and really know what they are doing.

In the beginning, the service was reasonable. As time went on, the company became less reliable - not showing up on the scheduled day, diminishing quality of work, etc. On 4/30/10, I came home to find a notice that my pool was not serviced due to "the weather". The company did not contact me to reschedule nor did they refund my money for the prepaid services. On 5/14/10, Sweetwater no-showed for the scheduled service day - no phone call, no notice, nothing. The next day I called the office and left a message, expressing my concern about the 2 missed service dates within the last month as well as the company's failure to refund my money for the work they did not do. I did not receive a call back. The same afternoon a Sweetwater Pools employee entered my backyard (unannounced), spending a few minutes "servicing" the pool and then hastily retreating. As is evident in the photos I took 4 hrs post-service, the pool was not cleaned or chemically treated, but he did appear to move the dirt around a little bit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/50345630@N07/sets/72157624097697546/ (copy/paste link to see photos) On Monday afternoon (5/17), I again called Sweetwater Pools and was advised my messages had been passed along to "the supervisor" who would be contacting me. When I didn't hear anything back, I called again on Wednesday morning to inquire as to why no one had returned my calls. I was informed "the supervisor - Javier" - had indicated he?d returned my calls. I advised Sweetwater staff that this was false - apparently Javier is unfamiliar with cell phones or the fact that they log all incoming/outgoing calls. Sweetwater office staff did not seem especially surprised regarding the poor service or dishonesty of the staff and did not refer me to a "higher up". Instead I was provided "Javier's" number and told to call him myself. I called 3 times throughout that day and left 2 messages, but did not receive a call back. Although no one from Sweetwater returned any of my calls to address the issues with their services, they did manage to bill my credit card in full for June 2010 services (which they likely will also fail to provide). Due to Sweetwater Pools failure to return my calls, failure to provide agreed upon services, and continued charges to my credit card, I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Prior to actually submitting the complaint, I attempted to contact "O.S. Sullivan" - the Sweetwater contact as per the BBB website. I left a message, requesting a return call, but - YOU GUESSED IT - never received a return call. The bottomline: Sweetwater Pools behavior suggests that they do not value or respect their customers. I recommend hiring a pool company that values provision of services at least as much as your credit card number. Sweetwater Pools does not fit this bill.

They are great and punctual. I was having problems with my pumps and my pool cleaner. They repaired them promptly. They are good at communicating problems or any delays in service.

Nothing went well from the start. They never brushed the pool...all they did was dump a few chemicals in and leave.

Consistently they do a fantastic service for only $40.00 per month. They're very trustworthy and never intrusive. I'd highly recommend them to any family. They always explain what they're doing when necessary and otherwise they go on about their business.

Sweetwater Pools does a great job of keeping the pH in our pool perfect. They are here every week. They are good about letting us know when they are unable to come and setting up another time. They are very professional and take great care of our pool. The pricing is fair because if I were to try to apply chemicals, I would end up with algae or something. So we are satisfied and pleased with their work and happy to have a clean and safe pool.
