My cabinets are horrible. They did not use the right color and when it was brought to their attention  they offered to repaint them for me. However, they painted right on top of the existing color which made it continue to not match. The main representative is Noah Cantu, he took a long time to finish and then there were issues with representatives he subcontracted. He eventually left my site for two weeks. I became so aggravated with this man and he was hard to work with. I would not recommend him at all. Since he has left, paint has been chipping and the granite has been having issues. Also, the subcontractors continuously tried to reach out to me because he never paid them. This was a nightmare.

We used Sweet Liv'n Design to remodel a kitchen in our previous home several years ago & were pleased so we were hoping to have the same experience in our new home. Well, that didn't happen for us.  Our original estimate to refinish the existing cabinets, install granite countertops and backsplash tile was $7,000 however when all was completed we paid $8,500.  Noe made a habit of coming by without warning and documentation & demanding installment payments.  Noe actually argued with us about wanting the final payment before painting was finished. He said "he was good for it" which turned out not to be true - strike one!  The timeframe to complete the job was 3 days however it took over 3 weeks - strike two!  Noe tried to talk us into custom cabinets (which was estimated at $17,000) but we decided to save some A LOT of money by refinishing the existing ones.  We are not satisfied with the refinishing efforts on the cabinets - we could have done light hand sanding on our own. One cabinet door had to be created and it ended up a disaster.  The door took 3 weeks to build and paint - thank goodness we didn't get all new cabinets - and the worker placed the knob in the center of the door - strike three!  We called Noe to fix the door but he tried to convince us it looked fine being smaller in size than the other doors and changed the knob placement. I know this sounds a little petty but the original hole was not filled properly and they added more paint to cover up the mistake leaving the "custom" door with globs of paint.  We are in the process of stripping off all the paint and redoing the door ourselves which really leaves a bad taste in our mouth considering how much we paid Sweet Liv'n Design to do all the work.  Noe and his crew had a habit of showing up at the house whenever they wished to come in and do work.  Noe even suggested to install the granite countertop on Monday, Memorial Day Holiday or we would have to wait another 2 weeks for countertops. Can you believe they didn't show up?  It's true, we had to call Noe when noone arrived and was told he forgot and would come the next day.  Needless to say we had to cancel our holiday weekend plans for nothing - how many strikes are they at now? Sweet Liv'n Design is OUT and we will never recommend or use them again.  P.S. The only reason we didn't give an "F" rating for Overall is because we are pleased with the granite we picked out.  Please see our photos of the "custom built" door courtesy of Sweet Liv'n.

I spent over $12,000 for labor and then additional money for the light  fixtures and faucet , towel & toilet roll holders. I had to shop
for all these items. Would have been less time consuming if they had given me some to choose from at their discount prices. This was a custom job. I am still so angry about this remodel after 4 years. Nobody should use them because of  how unprofessional it was of Mark(one of the owners) to lie to me about the cabinets.  It is a tiny bathroom, 5x8 and I had waited 30 years to have it redone. I paid half upfront. The people that worked for them were good and did very good work. Mark  sent me to a cabinet store  on Telge to chose the cabinet wood.  I chose a beautiful walnut with a hint of cherry that had a beautiful grain.  When they installed the cherry wood  with no grain cabinets  I told him that wasn't what I had selected & he said it was. I proved he was lying by returning  to the cabinet store; they told me he hadn't placed an order in 3 months.  I would never recommend them because of their dishonesty.. Why ask me to drive to a location, take the time to look at the choices of cabinets, and then not honor my choice. They had been in business for many years so I assumed they were reputable after seeing an ad in a Cyfair mag.  They are the reason I joined Angie's list.  You can't trust what you read.  I would think that a company's reputation is worth something and they would want to please their customers if they are doing a custom remodel.  All I can do is complain about them to whoever will listen so they won't get burned like I did.

I was unsure the types of hardwood to consider and Noe was very helpful to supply samples and information.

Very good experience; the estimate was very on target and the timing very close. Workers were kind and neat with their work; the contractor Noe Cantu was on site at least once daily, often twice. We are very pleased with the remodel.

Mr. Cantu assigned a lead man for the project. He was very particular about using drop cloths and cleaned up the area daily. They had difficulty getting the glass block installed properly on the first try but removed the tilted blocks and correctly re-installed them. The tiles in the shower were installed very nicely with a design in the tiles above the bench. Two shampoo/soap shelf/cubbies were built into the walls as requested and they work very well. Mr. Cantu suggested the color for the under counter porcelain sinks and it is the perfect color. He also suggested the tile border and it is perfect, too. He had me select and purchase fixtures - lights and plumbing - then they installed them. The bevelled mirror trim mounted inside of the moulding frame, reflects even more light from the glass block and adds so much. Everyone strived to please! They were consistently punctual. I did get tired of staying home most of the time, but it was worth it!
