SUPERIOR MASONRY

We contacted Bill Baxter owner of Superior Masonry to ask him to take a look @ doing some basic cosmetic repairs on the brick masonry of our 60s ranch house. Repairs needed were minor cracks and separation in brick and replacement of caulk around some windows and sliders. We chose Bill because of his supposed A rating on Angies List and because he lives less than 5 minutes from our home in Clear Lake (Bill works from his home). Bill came by to assess the needed repairs on 5-20-14. He indicated he would be in touch ASAP with an estimate and to schedule the work. As of 5-27-14 we had not heard from him so we called and left him a voicemail. He did not return the call. As of today 6-7-14, we have never heard from him and don't expect to. On 5-28-14 we contacted Manning Masonry who came out immediately, gave us a quote and completed the work in 2 days. Apparently Bill Baxter was not interested in our $1000? Superior -- what a joke -- Masonry was a huge disappointment. We were unnecessarily inconvenienced and extremely irritated by their lack of follow through. Don't waste your time!!

Very good. Advised us to have a foundation guy look and the cause.

Worker was prompt, worked hard and cleaned up each day before leaving. Owner often stopped by to inspect and direct the entire procedure.

The mason took my call right away and followed up with an estimate to rebuild a brick column and fill in gaps between the bricks on my garage. Their prices were quite reasonable, and they explained how filling in the gaps to the bricks would make them sturdier and stronger. The repair was scheduled as soon as we agreed on a day and the bricklayers were right on time. After they finished the brickwork, they cleaned up all the mess and left the yard in immaculate condition. They did an excellent job and were very polite and friendly.
