Strong Brick Repair

They replaced 10 window lintels and cracked some of our bricks then replaced them with brick that does not match and Miguel tried to stain the brick but still does not look good. The mortar they used does not match our existing mortar, they just used plain color concrete. I raised my concerns and they said they will come back but has not come back. We were told by Miguel they will come once they catch up on work... it's been 3 months. They are now ignoring our calls and texts. They must only care about new money so do not hold them to their warranty's or to address your concerns once they are paid. Miguel did a good job on the expansion joint and repairing the small brick crack but the men they had do the lintels did a poor job, I had to point out as well that they did not put weeping holes when putting back the brick, they were not skilled workers. Jose Cureno is the owner and does not respond. He scheduled for them to come to do the work but they did not show once I told him I was expecting them that day to do the work he rushed me to sign the contract so they can come the next day. I should have taken that as a sign they are bad. I like supporting family-owned small businesses but not anymore.

Unable to match mortar color or joint size with the house (not even close). Dumped a huge pile of leftover brick in my yard for me to clean up. Left lots of dried mortar on my patio floor that i had to power wash to remove. Initial communication was good, but did not return my calls or texts most of the time.

They came on time , 2 men worked all day and as they worked they leveled each and every brick to make sure they were level both horizontal and vertical. It was a brick mail box with a planter on each side. My wife and I were very pleased!

Jose was responsive with a quote. Price was good. Workmen arrived on time. They did the work as per any specific details I desired without objection. Matched the brick to the rest of the house well. Work looks like original part of the house. My ONLY comment is that the clean-up could have been better, but they finished rather late and had little time to clean-up. It would be cheaper for me to do a little clean-up than to use one of the other companies who quoted higher prices.

From beginning to end, the process was simple and easy. The crew showed up and began working immediately. After they were done, there was no mess and I could not tell what cracks they repaired because of the great work done by Mr. Cureno and his crew. Highly recommend.

It went well. The crew of 5 worked for several hours to repair areas on house as well as front sidewalk which is bordered with bricks. The matched the existing mortar perfectly. This job required work on 2nd story as well. They cleaned up their mess.

I had a leak on the pipe elbow inside the wall for an exterior faucet (sillcock or spigot) from the recent freeze in the Houston area. The plumber couldn't get to it from the inside of the house so he had to knock the bricks out around the faucet to make the repair - see pic. This was not a big masonry job but nevertheless, one requiring a bit of skill. I contacted Cureno Brick Repair through the Angie's List messaging service on a Saturday and asked if they would do a small repair. Jose said he could come out Monday and give me an estimate. I then sent him the photo, noting that I already had bricks that he could use and he replied almost immediately with a hard quote. I agreed and he was out today to do the repair. It looks great and the price was good. I'm very happy with the work. I highly recommend this company - fair and honest, and they did and excellent job for me. I was afraid it was too small of a job to get someone good but Cureno Brick Repair LLC came through for me.

We had some windows and doors changed out so we needed repair on the brick siding. They were able to find brick to match what we already had, and they did a great job of making it look perfect after another company said they didn't think it would be possible to match. Their attention to detail was amazing, you really can't tell that the work they did wasn't the original siding.

Great! Estimate was performed as promised, at time promised and emailed within minutes, reasonable compared with others obtained. Work was begun and completed on time as promised as was cleanup. Masterful workmanship!

Excellent service provided by Jose Cureno and his crew. They were very respectful of my yard as well as my neighbor’s. I called for an estimate late Friday and Miguel promptly arrived the next day to give me an estimate. I did not pay until the work was done. I highly recommend Jose Cureno and will use him again.
