"We apologize for the confusion with the roof worker. Your roof is very high and the roofing worker did not anticipate needing such a long ladder for your project. We do apologize for the inconvenience of having to wait another day to complete the work. We are extremely pleased to hear that you are satisfied with your final project. If we can ever be of assistance to you in the future, please let us know!"
"We apologize for any misunderstanding. The price that was given to you during your appointment was your estimate. We do broken down written estimates on large projects so the customers can see where the money is going whether to materials or labor. Usually when we do an estimate for a small project, such as the paver stones you were requesting, we do not do a broken down estimate because it is only for paver stones, there is not anything to "break down" in an estimate. We apologize for the confusion. Have a wonderful day!"
"We are so sorry you are having to deal with the headaches of flood damage to your home. We hope everything gets back to normal really soon!"
"We apologize for any inconvenience, but we do not have any records of any appointments with your name, a company name, or the address you provided. Also, when we scheduled an appointment, since they are usually set to a future date, we always confirm the appointment the day before. If the person does not confirm the appointment, then we do not send anyone."
"We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in regards to your appointment. We strive to provide the best customer service, but unfortunately every human makes an error occasionally. We would be more than happy to schedule an appointment for an estimate with the owner of the company who would take great care with your estimate and project. If you would like to schedule another appointment, please contact the office or message on Angie's List. Thank you sir and once again we apologize for the inconvenience."
From our initial contact I had high expectations from this contractor. The services were offered as one of Angie's Deals, and they were very quick to respond and set up the initial appointment. There was about a 2-3 month delay in starting the work due to upcoming holidays, which I understood from the outset. They even got in touch with me a couple of times during that period to let me know I hadn't been forgotten and they would get to me as soon as possible. I was impressed, but unfortunately the work and performance left much to be desired.
Federico said it would be approximately 3 weeks to do the job, and though I expected 4 or 5, it actually took about 10 weeks. After the job had commenced, there was one entire week when no one showed up. Most of the tile work had been done, but when the shower door provider showed up to install the door he had to be sent away because the grouting wasn't done. I asked Federico to let me know if workers would not be showing up on a particular day or if they would be late coming so I wouldn't be sitting around waiting for them, and for a while that worked, but only for a while. These were frustrations that I encountered throughout the process, and unfortunately they were not offset by the end product. I had cabinets built and painted and the paint looked like a primary coat. I complained about that and Federico sent out a new crew to finish the job, and they were worse than the first ones. They didn't even bother to use painter's tape resulting in really sloppy work and paint splattered on windows and doors. The wallpaper doesn't match in two places, and one panel wasn't cut straight and put on the wall with a gap showing.
The Angie's Deal covered certain basic work and I thought it seemed to be a good deal. I told Federico that I expected to upgrade a number of things and understood I would pay more than just the cost of the deal. I feel he thought I was on a tight budget. Even so, the work was not professional, and regardless of the budget, it was not quality work.
Federico was polite and a nice person, but as a contractor, he didn't seem to be on top of things. He dropped by once a week to see how things were going, but his workers were not skilled. The old bathroom was outdated and not functional, and it is definitely an improvement over that, but it should have been a better experience. I hate to say anything negative, but I would not recommend Stonecraft to anyone.

"We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with your project. We always strive to please our customers and are truly sorry you did not feel like you had a good experience. The delay in completing the bathroom was in part due to the wallpaper choice which took 4 weeks to be delivered. We hope you enjoy the improvements to your bathroom and are here if you need any help in the future. Have a wonderful day."
