STEWART CONTRACTORS

I usually don't post bad reviews but had to warn anyone about Stewart Contractors. I have a former showcase home in Bellaire which has several stained wooden doors. I contacted several companies about having them restrained and unfortunately chose Stewart Contractors. Although his price was higher than all the others, I thought he was a nice person and reliable. Once I signed with him, he told me he was finishing another job and would get to it next week. A month later he finally started! The work took one week and was average at best, I don't think he did any of it as I only saw two Hispanic men at my house, both of whom Kevin said he has since fired. Within two months the doors looked worse than before the job was started. Kevin blames a new sealant which he had never used. The rep for the company came to my house and basically told me Kevin had applied the sealant wrong. Mr Stewart is pointing the finger at that product and not taking responsibility for his shoddy work. BEWARE!!

Kevin couldn't have been nicer--even though this job might have been a little insulting to most master carpenters. He and his worker came and installed my mini-deck in no time flat, and it really looks great. And the best part is that his cost was $100 less than a fence and deck builder, whom I had repeatedly contacted and who had repeatedly failed to show up or even call to cancel appointments.
