STEAM-EXPRESS

The guys from steam-express showed up . We were getting regular duct cleaning. They quoted $77 for 10 and then additional for each. We have a two story house 3600 sq ft so we were looking at 400 approximately. When they opened the vents they said oh you have mold. This will be expensive and then said you are looking at $2500. They completed the work and then gave us a bill of $3600+. Their excuse was that oh we said $2500 plus basic cleaning and then tax. The guy was very rude and unprofessional. We paid the damage and would never hire them again.

I was told that they would use equipment that would clean all the way through the ducts back to the unit itself using special equipment like a high powered negative air pressure system and special brushes to sweep the ducts. When they arrived, it was something all together different. Two men, with what looked like a common shop vac removed and vacuumed my registers and used a wand to barely vacuum a foot into each opening. Not even touching 90 percent of the ducts. They left paint chips and Sheetrock all over my floor and furniture from where they carelessly removed the registers. What began as an advertised 89.00 special price quickly became 200.00 because they claimed I had more vent openings that what the coupon allowed. What should have taken a good 2 hours at least, took them a hurried 40 minutes and I was left in worse shape than before I blew my money. Don't use them, it's a scam.

Not only did the technician not show up during the aloted time 1-5 on Sunday, he or their scheduler changed/moved the cleaning to the following Sunday without my approval

Arrived late after saying they would be early.
Coupon advertised $77 and had to pay $100 more for 2 rooms and hall.   Feel ripped off!
Pressure sales to do A/C for almost twice the price advertised.   I don't like calling based on a coupon and getting a different price on arrival.

Experience did not go very well.  Supposed to start between 8-8:30 and they came at 10am.  Not real professional and smelled of smoke.  We spent $550 and the job was ok, but not much better than using a rental unit at a grocery store.  Wanted me to pay via check and when I declined, they were rude for the remainder of the service. 

They were running a special for vents cleaned and 3 rooms of carpet $89. I called and the service was described to me as they would run a hose not just at my vents but through my ducts, and also clean my carpet and get some of the stains out. When they got here it was a different story. First start with the vents they basically took all the vents off and vacuum the vent and around the point in the ceiling were the vent connected. Not into the ducts as stated on the phone. Also, I was told each in take would be an additional charge of around $80, which I was also not told on the phone. They had one guy vacuuming a vent while the other guy would screw the vents back in, needless to say l have wonderful pop corn ceiling so they made a mess on the floor under each vent. They did not vacuum it up. Now on to the carpet I was then told it would be extra for a deeper clean which would help get the stains out, which again not told on the phone. I decided to pay for this because they were already here and I had taken off work for it. The carpet was great. Except the fact that as they were leaving one of the guys walked through on the wet carpet and created a nice mud stain. Finally when they were finished they cleaned there hoses and vacuum in the middle of my drive way. So I had clumps of pet hair, dirt, and other stuff all over my lawn and driveway. I would not use this company; I went away from a company I used in the past because of the special offered by this company and got what I paid for.

They brought in their equipment and started cleaning the ducts then told me the coils were dirty and that would cost an additional $250 per unit (I have two units) and then they said they found mold on one unit and that was an additional $250 to clean and treat.
