We always receive good and honest service from Smart Air. In this case, they fixed a recurring problem that no one else seemed able to solve (more than one plumber worked on this). They analyzed the problem and corrected it.

I've used Smart Air for four years now. A+ on everything. Quick response, reasonable rates and very straightforward explanations for a klutz like me.

It went great the work was done quickly and professionally. The gentlemen explained the different options I had and allowed me to save money rather than forcing to purchase parts I did not need. If you are trying to find someone who is willing to evaluate your system these guys should be your first choice.

Our first experience with Jay and his team was  a year ago in August when our AC stopped working.

I called Smart Air and left a message after hours and was surprised to get  a return phone call within 30 min.

With a newborn baby in the house, we were relieved when Jay said he would come out and take a look.

That night Jay came out and got our AC working  again. Since that first experience, we will only use Smart Air

for any AC or heating issues. Our latest AC issue, just a few days ago was promptly resolved by Jay and his team. Any coworkers, friends or family having AC issues, we always recommend Smart Air. Repairs are completed promptly and correct the first time and

at very reasonable prices.  A working AC is a necessity during our hot Houston summers....we wouldn't use anyone else!

I called Jay at Smart Air since we were in need of a full replacement of our condenser, coil, furnace etc.  
This was the third company I called (but the last) and while everybody told me they needed to come out and do an inspection before they could quote me, Jay told me the pricing right up front.. 
I called Thursday (6 days ago), got my pricing options.  He came out the following day to do a quick walk through and explain the options.  We're planning on moving in 5 years so wanted the cheapest option. Where other installers would have given the hard sell about getting a better unit,  Jay was honest and told me that an Ameristar Unit would be fine over a 5 year span. 
He then called me and said trane didn't have the Ameristar, but would provide a trane for the same cost.
They showed up on time, the team was very nice (and even petted our dog throughout the day), and finished ahead of schedule.  No hidden fees, no funny business, just superb work and a top notch installation.  
I will be recommending Jay for any and all AC related jobs in the future.  
I started this process over a year ago by asking our neighborhood email list for AC Recs.  I finally came across Smart Air add on Yelp and my only regret is that I didn't call him sooner. 

Excellent workmanship, Jay was very courteous and took his time to explain what was done, how the new system worked.  I was very impressed with the quality job he and his crew have done and the work was finished in the time he said.

Jay is an extremely professional person with patience and understanding. I turned to him with no knowledge about my heating system and he took his time to explain each and every aspect of my heating unit. Made recommendations for me and provided me with a piece of mind. That alone is worth gold to me and he has found a new loyal customer. I would highly recommend Smart Air for anyone. Jay is honest, dependable and a true professional.

Jay listened to my explanation of the issue with my air conditioner (a wall unit in an upstairs room), then began to diagnose the problem. He quickly showed me how to avoid one problem I was experiencing -- the fan would not turn off, and I had to turn it off at the breaker box. He showed me how to turn off the fan at the inside unit. He found the problem, a sequencer that was not working, and gave me the price for the repair. He did not have the part on his truck, left to get it, and was back quickly. After finishing the repair, he took the time to check my whole unit, found another small need, and gave me the option to fix that need--no pressure and a clear price before he did anything extra. Once done, he took the time to review what he had done and to make sure that I was satisfied that the unit was working before he left. He was very professional, and I will definitely call him for my next heating/ac needs.

Jay the owner of SmartAir has always been prompt and accomodating in providing estimates of the work to be performed.  He explains the options and makes recommendations.  The work is always done as promised and in accordance to the estimates.  No surprises.  His employees leave the work site neat and the job is done on time.  I would highly recommend Jay and SmartAir to my friends and neighbors.

Jay @ Smart Air charged a reasonable price for AC inspection ($59.98). We received a 29 point written inspection with detailed readings of various measurments of the equipment's rated output & capacity vs actual output.
An AC cimpany that I used un the past told us that our AC pan was tipped & could not be replaced w/o lifting the entire unit. The pan was rusted & had overflowed  in the past b/c it tipped down & away from the drain hole. Jay gave us a reasonable quote for the pan replacement.
My husband described Jay as a real gentleman. Jay previously worked on the furnace at my office several months ago. He is a very nice guy & he takes the extra effort to clean up the area when he's through.

Jay was neat, clean & pleasant. He explained the problem clearly.  I felt the price was quite reasonable. The one shocking thing was that I caught cleaning up all the little bits of debris that typically land on the floor from the ceiling tiles being moved around.  I just love when a contractor treats my place like he would his own home.

See above.  Also, from the moment Jay with Smart Air arrived, he was very professional, including covering his shoes with disposable shoe protectors.  I highly recommend Smart Air for all of your Air Condition and Heating needs.  They are reliable, HONEST and trustworthy!

We closed on our newly purchased home last Thursday and have never been happier...

All happiness evaporated when I came home exactly a week and a day later, last Friday...and found the AC dead and the house temperature at 88 inside.

After calling numerous services, including this one, with my Liberty Mutual claim number...I was ignored repeatedly and told no one could help with just a claim number.

After caving in and offering up my AMEX, though, Smart Air showed up in about an hour. They sent a VERY professional and cordial gentleman who explained what went wrong with the unit very clearly and provided every detail needed. He replaced the burned out motor, eliminated the previous owner's jerry rig on the unit by rewiring it properly, and then topped the unit off with Freon.

All in all, he was there from roughly 830pm till about 10pm. On a Friday night. As he left, he relayed he was heading to another home to rescue another person's weekend...at 10PM...heading to another call.

I was sincerely amazed that this technician, Jay Jahantash, remained so cheerful and cordial throughout...that he didn't whine, gripe, or complain that his Friday night was being spent working outside on angry, upset, and overheated people's homes.

HIs professionalism as well as attitude was second to none and I highly recommend anyone who calls Smart Air to ask if he's available.
