The lending process went very well and smooth. Steve Silver provided excellent service as a mortgage broker. Very knowledgeable and explains in detail the process of the loan application and the working of interest rates. Any question that we had Steve was very responsive through email or phone. Steve works for the client (homebuyer) and works on providing the best product that is favorable to the home buyer. I recommend Steve and will use him again on future real estate transactions.

Over promised and under delivered. Not responsive at all and we kept having to follow up for information on status of process. Not ideal for first time home buyers looking to be kept in the loop. Also was promised a % rate but was higher when executed.

He walked us patiently throughout the whole process and we were able to obtain our loan approval. His professionalism and attentiveness to our loan was the outcome to a successful experience. We are so grateful and blessed to have found Steve!

I just purchased my first home in May 2016. I was a first-time homebuyer AND I had to deal with difficult seller. Steve successfully communicated with seller and guided me through the mortgage process. 
The whole process of buying a house was frustrating and stressful, but he never put me down because of my lack of knowledge. He advised what documents were needed and was on top of receiving and filing. Everything went great. I completely agree with other reviewers: he was knowledgeable and experienced, responded quickly and accurately and went extra mile. I am very grateful for his service.

Steve and his team are amazing. My husband and I just finished buying/renovating a house mortgaged by Silver Mortgage Funding. We learned about him through a friend and highly respected realtor in the area. Throughout the process, Steve was always  patient, responsive, and very knowledgeable. We plan to use them again for any refinancing or home loan in the future.   

Steve was very patient throughout the very tedious and difficult task of completing the refinancing. He was very responsive to all my questions and concerns and stayed on top of receiving and filing all the necessary documents. From the day I contacted Steve to the recent closing was about 6 weeks. Pretty efficient in this current lending environment. I will highly recommend Steve and Robin every chance I get.

I normally do not write reviews because I am difficult to impress, but this guy, Steve, was AMAZING! One of the best lenders I have ever worked with. If it was not for Steve and his team, the deal would have never closed! We ran into so many obstacles with the deal that just didn't make sense. I was extremely frustrated and every time that I thought the deal would be thrown out the window, Steve saves the day every time. Not only that, Steve was able to offer the best rate, at the time, compared to other lenders. Steve has excellent communication skills. Steve built a strong relationship with the seller's agent and the sellers. There were times when the seller's agent and the sellers refused to work with us on particular matters. Through Steve's relationship with the seller's agent and the sellers, we were able to get our way. After working with national mortgage brokers on a past loans I decided to look for someone local. I signed up at Angie?s List and reviewed many of the companies listed in my area. My plan was to interview several companies based on qualities like good communication, accessibility, personable, attentive and knowledgeable and technical in the area of loans and mortgages.
I found all this at Silver Mortgage. My first phone conversation with Steve lasted over 30 minutes from what I recall. I was asking tons of questions and he answered all of them with great patience. Afterwards, he followed up with an email on some of the more technical areas on rates and other areas.
Communication was excellent. My primary method is email and I always had a response right away on any questions. Also, I always felt I could pick up the phone and call and he was always accessible and ready to answer any questions throughout the loan process.
I was extremely pleased with the service offered and after it all wrapped up I called him to thank him personally for the great service. I would use Silver Mortgage again and I would definitely refer him to any of my family and friends.  If Silver Mortgage isn?t on your list? add it. At the very least talk to him and ask questions. It will definitely be worth your time.

If there was an A+++ rating, we would definitely give Steve and his team a higher rating.  From the moment I contacted Steve, he was very responsive.  We had a rate quote the same day.  Despite our concerns regarding my husband's gap in employment (employment gap of over a year and just started a job 2 months prior to closing), Steve was able to use my husband's income in securing financing with a lower DTI.  Throughout the process, Steve kept us informed and eased concerns I had concerning the process post the housing bubble burst.  I even learned a bit about the 10 year treasury bond yields and they influence the market! 

Our emails were usually answered within a few minutes and Steve was easy to get in touch with via phone as well.  If you're looking for a lender that is responsive and willing to go the extra mile, Steve Silver is your guy!  His loan processor, Robin, is experienced and super efficient! 

We were under contract the evening of Jan. 30th and closed March 2nd with no delays.  Thanks, Steve and Robin!  We couldn't have asked for a better team.

I found Steve at Silver Mortgage Co. during an internet search of current re-fi interest rates. I had no intention of using a company I found on the internet BUT he emailed me immediately offered me the information I needed and tons of information I didn't know I needed to know! We started a conversation via email and he was so personable and PROMPT! I would send an email at 9pm when a thought crossed my mind and he would respond right away! Most companies respond within 12-24 hours but Steve gets right on it! At this point I knew I had found someone I could depend on. Silver Mortgage was outstanding during our entire mortgage loan process and really made it hassle free. Steve was a pleasure to work with and I was extremely impressed by how quickly he always responded to my many, many questions throughout the process. No matter what time of the day or evening I contacted him he always promptly responded. I've not worked with any company, ever, that had better customer service than Silver Mortgage. I had a few issues with the home builder and Steve went out of his way to handle any issues that arose and really took care of us. We didn't have one single issue with our mortgage loan and the closing went absolutely perfect.

Securing a mortgage is one of the most important financial decisions a person will make in their lifetime. We were fortunate to find Steve Silver. He was tireless in his effort to help us refinance our home. Although our refinance was a very small transaction for him, Steve gave it the attention and effort needed to complete a multi million dollar transaction. From errors on our credit report to a huge error made by Fannie Mae Steve persevered. I cannot put into words how much we appreciate his help. When I started this process I went to a website and entered some of my information. 5 minutes after I submitted the information I was inundated by calls from mortgage brokers. Most sounded like fast talking used car salesman. I saw the wonderful reviews for Steve on another website so I gave him a call, after speaking to him for a few minutes I knew I found my guy. I have already referred Steve to a coworker whom he assisted with the mortgage on his home that closed 2 weeks ago. We have completed a purchase of an existing home with Silver Mortgage and can say confidently that their 5 start reputation on other referral sites is very well deserved. We are beyond impressed with Steve Silver and his staff's attention to detail, speed of execution and value. Our overall closing costs were super low. Final costs came substantially under estimate and there were absolutely no points involved. I did not put the amount in here b/c it is hard to tell the overall amount received by Silver Mortgage versus the underwriters, but on the cost / rate basis, they beat the competition.
For Steve's sake, we hope not all of the clients have as many questions as we did in the process, and we  are truly thankful for the detailed answers and additional background information provided. Everyone on staff at Silver Mortgage were very knowledgeable, honest and responsive and great at communicating not only with us as their immediate clients, but also with all other parties involved: real estate agents, the appraiser, the insurer, and the title company. This is my third home purchase, and despite the tightened rules, with Steve Silver's help, this will be remembered as the smoothest experience with mortgages to date.

Even though your being told home buying interest rates are at historic lows - if you don't know what you're doing or have someone you trust helping you, you will get screwed.  Steve wasn't just our mortgage guy, he was our advocate.
