Sears appliance repair is the worst of the worst. I have never been more dissatisfied with any company...ever. The last 52 days (yes) have been an experience that no one should have. They sent technicians out to repair my Kenmore washing machine no less than six times. They cannot repair the machine - which is less than 3 years old. Do NOT buy from them!

The service rendered by Sears Home Services was deplorable. They came by twice, the first time 1/2 hour outside the 4h window (I had to take off work). They needed a part. The return visit couldn't be scheduled until 14 days after the initial visit. They never returned despite us having to stay home twice for 4-hour intervals. They had the audacity to claim we had cancelled the appointments, although we had not done so. They were awful. AVOID AT ALL COST

On March 19th, a service technician came to repair my Samsung washer. This is after two prior appointments and no one showed or called. The technician determined the parts needed are no longer available and not be manufactured. And, it would be too costly to repair. He gave me a receipt and number to call for a replacement. I’ve callled continuously over the past five weeks. I’ve been on the phone for hours per call getting placed on hold and from Department to Department. I’ve been told that it will take another 3 to 5 days because they are waiting on another department to issue the replacement authorization. After a total of six weeks, from my initial call, nothing has been done or any indication that this is being resolved.i I purchased the extended warranty which is deceptive and fraud. I will never make another purchase at Sears.

The service person arrived and spent a lot of time explaining all the possibilities as to why my freezer would not get cold enough. He recommended a control board replacement at first, when I asked him the cost he spent another 15 minutes looking it up. His figure for the board with installation was over $700.00 He told me that it only takes 10 minutes to install the board, but Sears drives the price up and that is why the cost is so high. He also told me that my fan and coils were very dirty and that was probably all that the refrigerator needed, so i agreed to let him do the job. He asked if I wanted thorough cleaning and I said yes and he said it would take a long time to do this. I asked how long and he said at least 30 to 45 minutes. I told him that is not that long and to go ahead with the work. The technician then proceeded to pull out a shop vac and vacuum the dust off of the fan and coils. He spent about 6-7 minutes vacuuming and said he was done. The final bill was $277.00 for 6-7 minutes of vacuuming. Well as it turns out the vacuuming did not help and the freezer is still not getting cold enough. He also recommended that I call him on the weekend so he can do the job as an independent worker and not as a representative of Sears. I don't think that I will call though. The last twenty minutes were spent making a hard sell to me to buy a Sears warranty. What a rip. I will never use Sears again. It is no wonder that the Sears Business as a whole is slowing going under. I urge anyone in need of appliance work to avoid this company, it is a ripoff.

First trip fan was replaced. Second trip first fan had to be replaced and Third trip the in-freezer ice maker had to be repaired because of a bad setting made on second visit. All three service people were very nice and I would welcome into my home again if I could be sure the work would be done correctly first time. Also felt a bit pressured into purchasing an appliance warranty but cancelled that after our experience. Probably won't call them again even though Sears has been helpful in past years.

Many have just done adjustments or very minor repairs. It would be easy to make up something and charge a bundle. They are ready to discuss the good and bad about your model and recommended home care techniques to avoid costly repairs. I asked the last tech which washing machine I should buy if the one I have goes. He told me that I have the BEST model made. He said it was a shame it is not longer made. It should last 20 years. I have used Sears for over well over 20 years and always been satisfied.

The technician was polite it did not do anything to repair the dishwasher. He just opened the door look inside and told me that it was probably a bad heating element without testing it. He then tried to sell me a warranty for 10'. Complet ripoff! I paid 99$ to hear that my dishwasher was not working and he should come with two technicians to diagnose my dishwasher. Never again!!!

I had Sear's Appliance Repair come out to service my washer/dry unit (Kenmore "Thin Twin" unit). There was a $99 service fee for them to come out. Neither of the repair people seemed to be familiar with the unit or with the issue I was having (dryer leaving brown marks on clothing). The first person who came out was very professional, checked a number of things, and thought he'd found/fixed the issue. The next time I did laundry, I had the same issue so called Sear's back out again. The second service person they sent seemed to know less about the unit than the first, had a very poor attitude, and did not seemed at all concerned about determining what the issue was or fixing it. I was not charged the $99 service charge on that call, however, the issue is still not fixed. I called Sear's Customer Service asking for a refund as I'd had to take two days off from work and neither technician was able to fix the problem. They were about the most "non-customer service" related folks I have ever dealt with. I had to take two days off from work, am out $100 plus and my dryer is still not fixed. Until this particular experience, I had always thought highly of Sear's and had always been very satisfied with their products and their service.. After this experience, I would not recommend them and I will not call them again. I am very disappointed in Sear's from their repair technicians to their customer service.

Wonderful. I was expecting to trash the refrigerator, if it was too expensive to repair. I now have a working refrigerator in my kitchen that works very well.

When I made the appointment, there is high pressure to buy a one year warranty on all your appliances, including the one you are having repaired. At first I did not get it, but the next day I decided to get it. If nothing needs repair in the next year, it will be a waste of money. I did not like their high pressure approach. With the warranty, I paid $80 to get the washer repaired. Without the warranty, it would have been $300 to repair the washer. However, keeping the warranty for one year will cost $600. In the next year, if I don't use the warranty on other appliances, I will have paid about $300 too much. So, I will just see how the next year goes!

Tech found it frozen up. Cleared ice, and recommended we watch it vs LG’s suggestion of a new controller board. Charged for trip fee & an hour labor. Working fine a month later; if it fails again soon, we’ll replace the board. If it goes another two years, we’ll clean the ice again (pretty sure I can do it myself having seen it).

The repairman checked the whole machine. No problem could be found. The mess was cleaned up and no more spillage could be found.. If within 90 days it occurs again, they will return at no charge. The repair man did everything he could to find the problem. He cleaned up after himself and no mess was left behind.

The technician who did the repair was very nice and competent. The problem I had was the appointment line. My appointment was scheduled for 10am-2pm window. At 2pm I had not heard anything so I called. They said they would have the technician call me. At 3pm I called back. They said that the technician had come to the house at 8:47am and no one was home. I said that was not true- that I had been home all day and no one came or called. When I questioned why the technician would have come outside of the appointment window, she said that they come on their own schedule and you can't go by the appointment. I was very angry and would have cancelled the service call but I had taken two days off from work so I rescheduled for the next day. But obviously their appointment times mean nothing so I would not use them again.

The team arrived within the time window but did not have the parts on their truck and needed to arrange with another technician to drop them at a store twenty one miles away and come back in the early evening to complete the repair. The combination of trip charge and labor is very high because there are two persons on the team and they have to make multiple trips because they do not carry the parts even though the appointment office was told precisely which appliance and what the problem was and the model number etc was on our record since it was purchased from sears.

I was supposed to get a call technician was on his way—no call...arrived at 8am Tech said other things were wrong and included a door realignment $250!!!! Fixed it before I could agree to this ridiculous overcharge In the end, the only prob was the water filter The refrigerator only needed a water filter—$40 I have used SEARS for all my appliances, but after being overcharged —I will never use your services again !
