I agreed to work with them for a year using the various services they had quoted. There was no written /signed contract.
I scheduled them to come for the first service which was fertilizer and weed control. The did not appear on the day they
scheduled. I called them and canceled any further service for their failure to perform. The local manager called me
the next day and apologized and ask for another chance. I said ok only because the local manager called.
At least he said he was the local manager.
They scheduled another day and came as promised. It was raining when they applied the fertilizer and weed control.
The tech said if the weeds did not disappear to call them and they would come out and reapply the weed control.
It rained for several more days and the weed control failed to get ride of the weeds.
So I called Scotts and explained the problem and they promised to put me on the schedule for reapplying the weed control.
I waited about 10 days and Scotts had not contracted me about a scheduled date to reapply the weed control. I called them
back and they put me down for Tuesday April 7. I called them on Monday April 6 and reconfirmed they had me scheduled for
April 7 and I was told YES. I waited at home all day, April 7 and they never called or came to my home.
On April 8, I called Scotts and spoke with Ashley. She again confirmed I was scheduled for weed control service
on April 7. I told her no one came to my house on April 7. Told Ashley their service was no longer required and terminated
our agreement for failure to perform as promised.
They sprayed the yard for weeds on July 20th. after waiting the proper amount of time, I noticed that there was no change, so I contacted them to come out again. They performed the service again on August 8th. Again, after waiting the right amount of time there was no change. I contacted them yet again and they sent out a supervisor who agreed to giving me a refund.
My yard still has weeds.
I could never get a consistant answer from anybody on what was wrong and what the course of treatment should be. They sent out different experts and managers and everyones story was different.
i finnally cancelled my service and they told me that I would not have to pay the final bill. They then started calling me for payment and agreed to send out a manager to look at my lawn and verify my claims. He agreed to wave the last bill.
they now have refered my account to collections and call on a daily basis. I would never recommend them or do business with them again.
Their personnel, to apply these treatments, are NOT well enough trained and knowledgible to apply the strong chemicals they use correctly, and in their proper dilution! One part chemical....to 5 parts water...requires a basic working knowledge of mathematical fractions and proportions!!!
I reported our dissatisfaction to Scotts. A regional manager came to personally view the damage from that service call. Their remedy.....sent a technician to apply some fertilizer to the lawn. That's was it.
