On February 21, 2017 our house was totally damaged by a fire. Our insurance company recommended SandTech to remodel our house. After sitting down talking to the owner (Stacy Schaff) and contacting some of his former customers, we decided to hire SandTech. We were not disappointed. SandTech did an excellent job remodeling our whole house. The workers were very professional and friendly, The materials used and work was top quality. We love our newly remodeled house. You will not go wrong hiring SandTech.

I decided to go with someone else for the plumbing test. I had them do some foundation repair years ago as well. My insurance company sent them out. They did a wonderful job. I have referred them multiple times, and my brother has used them too.

The house's previous owners had perimeter piers installed by Sandtech back in 2004. After we moved in we noticed the center of the home seemed to be sinking. It took us almost 2 years to come to terms with doing the work (big $$) but Keith worked with us through our whole process. I'm a structural engineer myself, just a different industry, and we had multiple companies come out. Keith came through with the best quote and the best obvious knowledge. Really personable as well. I talked in depth with all the companies reps on their plan and rationale and Keith with ST really stood out. We had over 50 ft of tunneling under our house and four holes through the slab in the house with more tunneling. There were multiple teams that came out to do the work. We had a really good experience with each. As you'd expect with a 2.5 week process involving so much work inside and out there were some bumps along the way but overall it was as good an experience as we could expect. We stayed in the house the whole time along with our two dogs and a cat. I wouldn't recommend that for everyone but ST was able to work with us to make it as livable as possible. By the time they were done they had done a great job of cleaning up after the project and making sure all of our concerns were addressed. I'd easily recommend Keith and Sandtech to anyone for foundation work.

I had 5-6 quotes for fixing the VERY leaky old cast iron plumbing under my slab. Most of the quotes on the cheaper end were cutting corners, but not with Sandtech. They came in with a great price AND doing it the right way. Keith, the person who wrote up my quote, was excellent and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Also, they were quick and worked around my schedule. I have recommended Sandtech to others in my area who have slab leaks, which is unfortunately pretty common in 50+ year old houses.

Stacey, the owner I believe, answered my call for an estimate to and quot;repair foundationand quot; and showed up the next day. Two other foundation companies called were either too busy or considered the job as explained to them on the phone too small to fool with. (Both set appointments weeks away which I subsequently cancelled).
Stacey inspected the damaged areas and determined that there was really no structural damage anywhere, but it would be wise to fix the broken one and while his man was here he'd go ahead and fix the other one which was cosmetic only.
In order to be certain that there was no unseen foundation damage or setteling, he asked to inspect the house on the inside as well and upon doing so assured me that and quot;all was welland quot;.
He quoted a price of $350.00, but explained that because of the size of the job, he'd need to wait until he had other work in this area and stated that it might be a couple of weeks. True to his word and with no further contact from him, he called about 2 weeks later and set an appointment for his man Juan to come and do the work.
Juan, an amiable 28 year employee, came as agreed and did a great job, explaining each step in the process.

The men from Sandtech were professional and listened to me. For the procedure in which they tested and identified leaks and mapped the plumbing under the house, all three of the toilets had to be removed. They replaced them all for an additional $20 charge which was not in the $300 quote I was given over the phone. The workers were very neat and left no mess. Two days after the men left, I came home to a noise that sounded like the shower was running. It wasn't . It was the sound of water squirting from a burst pipe valve behind the master bath toilet. There is no way to tell what caused it. I know the piece was old. What happened next is the reason that I will use this company again and that I will recommend it to my friends and on Angie's List. The next day, a plumber came and repaired the toilet. The day after that, a man came and repaired not only the damages, but also a section of the bathroom that needed work before Sandtech Foundation Repair ever came to the house. I do not know if the damage happened because of a mistake, but if it did, well.... mistakes happen. I think that the way a company deals with the mistakes tells a lot about the end results of the work and the honesty of the business. Sandtech did a great job handling the broken pipe and the damages resulting from the water.

tWe moved to our newly bought house and found out that the sewer line was broken in many places (essentially everywhere) so we had to use our insurance to repair it. The insurance recommended Sandtech which, to our surprise, offers us the most reasonable price so we had them do the job. They are efficient and try to accommodate our schedule, like lock our door for us etc. Because it is underslab repair so they kind of destroy our back yard...... they tried to put it back as much as they can but well, it just looked bad :( But overall, the money was well spent.

They were great. They took care of the leak. We did have a Houston area inspector come in and check and further they were able to close the hole up. We took care of the termite problem that the leak caused. My husband was here. He was able to verbalize with them the whole time and find out what they were doing and how they were going to. They made sure we understood what was going on. We really haven't had bad services. If I had another problem with a leak underground, I would certainly call them back. They were suggested by a company that did our siding.

Our house was built in 1973. We had foundation problems about 12 years ago and had 16 bellbottom piers installed around the south end of the house and connected garage. Shortly thereafter, we had the floors in the family room, all the bedrooms and bathrooms tiled. After six or seven years, we noted a few cracked tiles in rooms on the north end of the house and debated whether or not to have additional work done on that end of the house. We procrastinated. Then we noticed some cracks in the sheet rock and some additional cracked tiles in the family room in the center of the house. The drought of 2011 meant we couldn't procrastinate any longer. We were off by well over 3 inches. We had a number of companies come out to evaluate and give us estimates. The estimates ranged from approximately $7000-$49,000(the last included tunneling for interior pilings). All of them recommended 6 to 10 interior piers or pilings with a wide variety of recommendations for the number of piers or pilings around the exterior. Between $7000 and $33,000, there were going to be a number of breaches inside the house, considerable disruption, and considerable expense to re-tile several rooms in the house. Foundation repair companies were quite busy and in one case we had to wait four weeks for an evaluation. This company was quite highly rated on Angie's list and we initially contracted with them. However, they were not going to be able to do the job for over three months. At that point I called Keith at Sandtech and had him come out for a second visit. I asked him if they could limit the interior breaks to the family room and foyer and inside closets. I also asked if they could start within the next few weeks and finish by mid-May. He agreed to all of changes in the original estimate without any additional cost. His bid was more complete than most of the others in that it included pilings around the entire perimeter of the house and all but one side of the garage. I contacted the original contractor to cancel the contract, which was still scheduled six-eight weeks later. The completeness of the job as well as the timing was an important factor in going with Sandtech. In addition, they also do plumbing and could address any problems that might have arisen. The work started on schedule on a Monday. The foreman, Venancio (sp?), did an excellent job of keeping us informed on what was going on. Importantly, he looked at the overall plan, conferred with Keith and they decided to tunnel for all the interior pilings instead of breaking through the foundation. This saved us considerable money in that we are now having a few cracked tiles replaced rather than having entire rooms re-tiled. Eventually, we had one additional interior piling and two more interior in the garage and paid $1100 more than the original estimate. Venancio kept things on schedule and minimized disruptions. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to explain and let me see what was going on. At times there were 12-15 workers on duty. By Friday, the house was leveled. The major breaks in the sheet rock closed up. By the next Wednesday, the garage was leveled and the holes filled in, re-cemented on the breezway between the house and garage and around the pool deck and the cleanup was complete. Within two days, we had a heavy rain and depressions appeared where some of excavations had been. Keith sent his crew out with a load of dirt to fill the depressions. The front of the house had been raised so much that there was a 2 inch lip from the sidewalk to the entrance alcove. Keith sent his crew to excavate under the last section of sidewalk and jack it up and backfill with dirt to eliminate the lip. No more stubbed toes or tripping. After more rain, we had some additional depressions appear where holes were dug. It's almost stopped now. I asked him to leave a load of topsoil at one end of the house for future adjustments and that's done now. All-in-all, we were quite happy with what was done. Would we use Sandtech again? I hope we don't have to ever have to go through this again!!, but we highly recommend them.

Sandtec was awesome. They are extremely professional and work predominately with all the insurance companies.
They came at 8 in the morning and worked until approximately 8 in the evening, then capped off the pipes to stop the leaks so that we could go on our planned Christmas vacation. They resumed work when we returned. James and Stacy are extremely thorough. It was a real plesure working with them.

SandTech did a good job and they worked quickly. They had to dig a 30 foot trench in the place the drain was, and I was satisfied with the way the yard looked when they were done.

We were instructed by our insurance company to use Sandtech Foundation Repair. They do plumbing as well as construction work. They were very quick and efficient. They did a very professional job. They were here for several days. They dug up our whole back yard underneath our house. They also kept us well informed when they were going to cut off the water for some time and they did it at the least possible time. They also rerouted our main line and our sewage line. It was a big job and we were very impressed with them. The only thing that they asked was to take the electrical line from inside, as we didn't have any outside power connection. We didn't pay them, but the insurance did pay them. We paid them for fixing the sewage line, but they gave us concession on that too. So, it would have normally been a lot more than what we paid.

SandTech was recommended by my home inspector to test the drain lines under the foundation of a home I was considering buying. The inspector said he liked the company because they treated a home "like someone actually lived there." The inspection was a bit pricey ($475), but they found and isolated the leaks and provided me with a schematic (by e-mail) showing where the leaks were. They also gave me estimated costs for spot repairs and line replacement. This gave me some leverage in negotiating with the home's seller. After I bought the house, I commissioned SandTech to go ahead and do the repairs. They had to go under the hall bath and to the kitchen line (so they had to dig under the foundation in two spots--one right next to a neighbor's driveway). I was impressed that the work crew showed up on time, cut the sod into nice pieces and stacked it to the side so it could be easily replaced, and during the pipe excavation moved all the dirt from both holes into my driveway (so that it wasn't sitting on my lawn, killing my grass!). It rained in the middle of the job, but they carefully covered the holes each night, so not too much water got in and the work was only slowed down by not being able to work on the days it was actually raining (not by having to wait for the holes to be pumped and/or dry out). They found that the bath line was more brittle than originally projected (they had warned me that might happen) and suggested going ahead and replacing the line all the way to the back of the tub, which added $800 to the cost (but I thought that was fair, since these were old pipes and a patch might have failed soon anyway, necessitating starting all over again). When they finished the work, they replaced the sod and hauled off all the old pipes, leftover dirt, etc. As for my inspector's assessment that the SandTech crew would treat my home well, I have to say I was impressed. They were on site for several days (we had not yet moved in, but I stopped by every couple of days to check on things), and even though they used the bathrooms in the house and came in to cool off and clean up a bit, I found almost no dirt or mud tracked in--not even after the rain. It was the first time I'd had to deal with something like this, but I felt like I was treated well the whole time. Kevin, my contact in the office, checked in with me daily and kept me posted on how the work was going, explained my options and what the crew was seeing on-site, etc., which I appreciated. I'm indebted to my home inspector and I've since recommended SandTech to others.

WE HAD LEAKS UNDER OUR HOUSE. THEY CAME IN AND DUG 3 TUNNELS TO REPLACE THE SEWER (DRAIN) LINES. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY CAME OUT RIGHT AFTER WE HAD A LOT OF RAIN.
