Sanders & Sons Appliance Repairs

I was told the problem was not the range but the gas that came into the house.

Mr Sanders, was on time,he was able the find what was wrong with our dryer in a very short time. It turned out to be a bad part. He had to order a new part, but made a safe termporary repair so we could use the dryer until the new part was in . He returned in a couple of days installed the correct part to the  dryer. I; new to Angie's list and it looks like the first time was a charm.

He fixed it correctly both times.  His charge was reasonable.  He came within a day or two, much more quickly than the big appliance repair firms that charge a fortune and sometimes try and sell you stuff you do not need. His wife answers the phones and she has always been lovely to deal with.

When the tech was a no-show at 2:30. I called the contact number and was told that the ticket had not been entered into the system. The operator (the same person I spoke to when scheduling) was apologetic and said that if I couldn't fine anyone to take my call, they would try to work me in to their schedule. Buyer beware, darn it!

I contacted them on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 - no answer 27 hours later!

It went well. Came and looked at it. Ordered the part. Took the washer to install at the shop, and then brought it back.

Repair only took about 20 minutes.

My refrigerator went out, with guests at my house. I called first thing in the morning, a helpful lady answered, sent someone out by mid day. The worker who came out told me my frig is 14 years old, and the compressor was gone. He estimated price of new compressor, but the best solution a new frig. He did a temporary fix, to keep food cold, but said he could not predict how long it would last. He did not charge me anything but the original service call, which was $20 less than the other company I called, which could not even send someone the same day. I'll call Sanders and Sons the next time I have an appliance problem.

I had a microwave that wasn't working. They charged $65 just to come out and they told us that the first thing that I had to do was instead of heating them and changing the fuse I could just buy a new microwave which actually worked out better for me. I had another company who had come in earlier and they didn't tell that it was better to buy another one instead of them coming in over and over again to fix the problem. I really appreciated them doing that for me. Last week when I had a problem they came right away and ordered some part right away. I had two different parts that needed to be ordered and I decided to order one part. They have always been on top of everything every time and they have always come very quickly when I called them.

Mr. Sanders was punctual and professional. He checked anything that might be causing the problem and then determined that the water valve was defective and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, he did not have that particular part and had to return the next day. I was very happy with the service that I received from Mr. Sanders and will certainly call him the next time I need appliance repairs.

I was very pleased with their work, professionalism, and punctuality. I will definitely use Sanders and Sons again.

I called Sanford and Sons because of positive review on Angie's List. Originally made the appointment for the morning, but the day before had to call and reschedule for the next afternoon. They called that afternoon and left a message. I called back and Mr. Sanford arrived within 45 minutes of confirming I was available. I explained the icemaker was not working he quickly determined it was a minor problem and corrected it quickly. While he was doing that, I started the washing machine on a rinse and spin cycle (empty). For the washer, he took the time to observe a full cycle and determined that the vibration was not excessive when empty. I agreed. Based on this, he suggested several possibilities, including uneven water distribution (if low water pressure) and possibly overloading the washing machine. He suggested reducing the load size and seeing if that cut down on the vibration. He charged us only the service call of $60 for this, and said that if the icemaker stopped working, he would come back and would not charge a repeat service charge.

I have used Sanders and Sons for ten years. They are professional, timely, reasonably priced and very nice people. They came out the next morning and fixed the problem in no time at all. In the past, I have used them for ice-maker repairs, refrigerator repairs and washer/dryer repairs. They started as a Mom and Pop store and now he's got his sons involved. I highly recommend them.
