Samson Power Movers

It went well.

They disassembled furniture and electronics. AND they did not put them back together and they did not reassemble nor they did not preserved any of the attachment.They were given the job based on their claim to be able to be able to move the piano upstairs at move in they did not have the equipment nor manpower to move it upstairs. Part of the furniture items are still missing. The piano was left in the garage.

PLEASE REVIEW THE TX DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE NO YOUR MOVING RIGHTS AND VERIFY ACTIVE LICENSURE BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY THEY PROVIDED THIS TO ME AFTER MY CHARGE FOR INCOMPLETE SERVICES As of 12/06/21 this is what the form provided to me by them for major damage with my move for Tx Department of Motor Vehicles has their licensures showing 007740572C SAMSON POWER MOVERS LLC DBA Sagith Senanayake 957 NASA PARKWAY 410 OLD GALVESTON RD HOUSTON TX Revoked STOP STOP BUYER BEWARE We spoke with Mariah on 11/29/21 who took the information of the house being sold and no lights in the home the reasoning for needing them in the am and the inventory they scheduled us for 8-10 am 12/04/21 they called at 11 to say the truck had broken down they had staff issues people did not show up for work and I suggested to reschedule or for Sunday in the am or cancel and they called 4 more times throughout day stating they were on their way eventually at 615pm they showed with movers who were teenagers and 1 child with a trailer not a moving truck and it started to rain to move a California bed set . They quoted me 99 trip fee and 99 1st and 100 each additional hour my storage was 23 min from my home so and we had also dismount all tv and took all the beds apart so all the kids that they sent would have to do is load and move it they started slow the first hour loaded half of my stuff called me and advised me it was now going to be 2 more hours and then again another 2 hours if I did not have the money they were not going to release my stuff all in all what should have taken 2 hours became from 615pm at night to 11pm and a total of 657.00 furniture and chairs and other items were left wholes in my walls were made and my California bed set now has mass scratch and scrape damage due to them sending teenagers and children to do men’s jobs. I requested information on how they were going to help me as their customer who just paid all of monies requested because they wouldn't release my stuff if I didn't pay and all they sent me was a form from Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Know your MOVING RIGHTS and Responsibilities and told me the truck was full and it was dark and the remainder of my things are still in the house. They sent me 1 email on 12/04/21 with a different quote then altered the 1st email 2 times 12/05/21 then 12/06/21 to reflect the amount that I paid due to holding my furniture hostage and on the final altered invoice confirming they did not complete their job. Watch and print everything from this company. If this is how they do business they are not good for you or anyone else DO NOT do what I did STOP BUYER BEWARE Take their advice and ALWAYS check Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Know your MOVING RIGHTS and Responsibilities to make sure your MOVING company is a GOOD company to it’s Customers!

I cannot describe my horrible experience May 25 with the Sam Movers service. From bringing a moving “trailer” instead of a moving truck and increasing your fee by 45% words cannot describe the nightmare. I was moving from a home to an apartment in which is only 5 miles away. The two movers took 9.5 hours to complete the move. I am very glad I saved some money because if not I’m not sure where all my furniture would be at this time. In the past I have moved six times including across three states and none is close to the misery as on Tuesday. I’m honestly writing to save anyone from my experience on a move.

Movers were punctual. two manhad difficulty moving heavier items like couch. The move took longer than I would have expected based on past experience with other movers. They damaged my leather couch by dragging it across concrete and rubbing on it against siding during the move. I have filed a claim to have the leather repaired (letter to the owner) but have had no contact back from the owner after several weeks and repeated phone calls. The staff has been completely unhelpful in getting a response that the letter was even recorded let alone my concerns being addressed. It should not require multiple phone calls and a poor review to get the owners attention. Overall I'll not give them business again in the future.

Amazing experience

Excellent. The price was exactly as quoted over the phone, and everything got moved perfectly. They guys were really cool to deal with.

First the "deal" offered on Angies list is no deal at all. It said 2 hrs, 2 people and a truck. But then there were extra charges for actually driving the truck somewhere! More importantly, on the morning of the move I was informed the truck had broken down and they could not do the move! Fortunately our lease had not yet ended so we were able to move the next day. We had however packed up everything in preparation for the move and we had to now unpack again so we could stay in the apartment an extra night. They had absolutely no interest in offering a discount for our inconvenience! The next day the "truck" arrived. It was actually a trailer, so not sure how it "broke down" in the first place. The movers included 1 experienced person and 1 apprentice. The move for a 2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment with standard furniture a distance of 30 miles took 7 hrs and cost more than double the originally quoted cost.

My move was complete stress free! The owner of the company came with the crew and instructed everything. I was very impressed with the outcome! The crew was very professional, they wrapped my heavy furniture and carefully moved it in and out of the house. No damaged item or missing items. I totally recommend this company to everyone.

Had an apartment to apartment move with a 2 man crew (Jeremy and Abram). The process was smooth, with great communication from the office and from the movers. The movers were kind, helpful, and I felt that they used their time efficiently. They confirmed with me multiple times which items had to be moved and where I wanted them. Really great guys! They really made this move a lot less stressful for me and I'll definitely use Samson Power Movers again if I move in the future.

Keyman is the best! He really went above and beyond to help reunite my husband and I with some missing storage boxes. I never write angie's list reviews but we are so grateful for his help. Thank you, keyman!

This is my second move with Samson Power Movers and they are truly outstanding movers. Abram , Keyman and Jeremy were amazing with the move and Samson with communication. They facilitated a fast, speedy and safe move -- amazing energy, focus, and they got it all done in about 7 hours (the boxes were already packed). Not bad, when you consider that it involved several sets of staircases, and a mover who was not as organized as I had planned to be prior to the move. Definitely recommend Samson power movers.

They were very professional movers. I was very impressed with how hard they worked and how polite and friendly they were even while they were moving our very large furniture pieces. Quick responses, easy and get discount for cash payment . I highly recommend Samson power movers .

I've used Samson Power Movers a couple of times now. Most recently, hired them to load up a truck for me. The truck was frankly a little too small for the size of my things, but they managed to carefully pack up my 12' truck and fit everything without needing to leave anything behind. Very impressed.

I used Samson power movers to move some furniture and boxes. They were very professional and communications with them were always easy and timely. The guys were super nice and they did an amazing job! I can highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again if I need any moving .

Samson power mover was awesome! I called them very last minute (2 days before i needed to move), and also had to add an extra stop to my move. They were really great about that! They moved everything super fast, and were really nice and friendly! If I move again, I'm definitely calling them!
