The job went extremely smooth and Mark was great in communicating with us.  He worked with us to keep within our budget but didn't sacrafice on quality.  We picked out exactly what we wanted and he and his employees got the job done efficiently.  The room went up fast and the house stayed sealed throughout the entire process.
Mark also worked on a few other miscellaneous fixes we needed around the house and overall it was a good experience.

Contractor appears inexperienced and unable to handle to handle any major project. He says he used to be a licensed electrician. Did not find any records of his license with the State department. Used him at the recommendation of a co-worker. Was very erratic in behavior (at times aggressive) and inconsistent with stories about his work and/or lack of professionalism. Concrete subfloor for almost half of my house was installed at night and the results were horrible. They left concrete splatter all over the walls and permanently stained the flagstone in my front porch. There were varying degrees of height in the subfloor which I pointed out to the Contractor. Contractor then assured me that during tile installation, that the height could be corrected. Obviously not the case. Living room and kitchen tile floor slope in several directions and are completely uneven. Door frames were not installed in correctly (gaps under the doors, frames have sections missing, and some doors don't close properly). Bathroom tile installation was not installed correctly, despite repeated attempts of his. Water damage has seaped in behind the tile because of his faulty installation. He framed-in an operable working window that can no longer open due to his framing over it. He has limited staff with limited skills set. So much so is the foregoing the case, that I was told he started using my cabinet and carpenter sub on his other unrelated projects. The people who did the sheetrock work were also involved in almost all of the remainder of the project. I don't know that they had any experience in anything except sheetrock installation. His flooring people are the worst. They installed wooden floors with huge noticable nails. Floor refinishing job was incredibly deficient. Did not maintain schedule. The foregoing is not exhaustive; it is merely a sampling of just how bad my home remodeling project was botched. Contractor then abandoned project when it became obvious that the damages that he caused were greater than what he was owed and offered that I accept the balance (which is barely enough to cover the cost of my purchasing new tile) as compensation for the damages. Beware of stories of deceased extended familly members, family members being sick, his truck being broken into, his not having any funds to cover his damages, etc. The foregoing stories were employed several times during the course of the project.

We had an acrylic bathtub with the three piece surround to begin with. After five years, the tub had small hairline cracks throughout. I came on Angie's List to find someone with a good review. My husband removed bathtub and surround himself. Ryan's Construction then came in and did a fabulous job installing a new porcelain steel bathtub and made it balanced so the water would run down to drain easily since our concrete underneath wasn't leveled. The plumber then broke out some additional concrete to balance the tub correctly and so the plumbing wasn't sitting on the concrete. He was very through. Then the tile guys installed concrete hardi back board for the tile. The guys cleaned up constantly and were very nice. Then the tile was put up and it looks fantastic with our rustic wood above it. The next day, they finished with the grout/sealant. The bathroom looks great. Taking the first shower was a wonderful feeling. The acrylic tub we had in the first place just did not stay fresh or look updated. They gave us several suggestions when I asked about something in particular. We decided to go with a niche/cubby to hold our shampoo bottles instead of shelves. That was just an example. They were good about answering texts, emails, and returning phone calls. This was not a particularly large job because we did not remodel our entire bathroom, but they were still attentive to our needs. Thank you again for the professionalism and our nice, pretty shower/bathtub!

Overall, it went great. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, they were very detailed in telling us what was going on (the whole time), they didn't stop until the work was finished. Left everything clean and always picked up after themselves.
