Rudy's Quality Painting did an EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT job on our home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Rudy's extremely qualified painters and crew were professional and courteous. In April 2022 they closely reviewed what work needed to be done with preparing the house for painting, being sure to protect what wasn't being painted, doing some beforehand needed replacement of rotted boards, painting the house, cleaning up afterwards and a follow-up to be sure everything was done to specifications and satisfaction. The best painting job this house has ever had and it is well done & beautiful. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend Rudy and his team. Special thanks also to his crew Moses, Margarito and Michael Santos. Many thanks! M. Metting, Houston

I had used Rudy’s for a small job several years ago and despite them using the wrong thickness of sheetrock to repair a damaged wall, did a reasonable job. I decided to include them as one of the contractors to bid on this large project, along with 2 other contractors. After my initial call on a Friday (to an answering machine) requesting a quote, it took 2 more calls to actually talk to a live body who would schedule the estimate, 3 days later. Javier, the estimator came on the Tuesday, took all measurements etc and promised to get me the quote by the Thursday...and that was the last actual contact with anyone in this company. It is now 3 weeks since my original request for a quote and 2 weeks since the promised date for the quote. During this period, I have made several calls to the office number and Javier’s cellphone and all I ever get is an answer machine with a message telling me they will return my call. If this is how responsive they are before you award them the project, imagine how frustrating it will be if you have to chase them for issues after they have the job...AND YOUR MONEY! Totally UNRESPONSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL and definitely NOT RECOMMENDED! Buyer Beware....

They did painting and some hardy repairs and some replacement of some cedar. They were really good. I would use them again if their price was lower. They were competitively priced.

I called and spoke with owner about getting a quote. Owner was out of town so it took a few weeks before he got back to me. He promised to come by on a Sunday. He never showed, never called to apologize and did not pickup phone after I called.

It took a bit of effort and persistence on my part to schedule an estimate, but once we got past that, Rudy was great to work with. I needed refinishing a front door along with drywall repairs, texturing, and painting for a rear sun-room, and Rudy came in with a great price. His wasn't the lowest price, but was great value for the manner in which the work was to be performed. I scheduled the work (which I was advised would take 2.5-3 days) about three weeks in advance, and called back to confirm the arrival time the day prior to the scheduled work. On the scheduled day, the two guys from Rudy's arrive on time, in fact 30 minutes early, and went straight to work. Rudy came by about two hours later to check on progress, and get samples for matching paint. We had a quick conversation, and they went back to work. They arrived promptly on day two, and since I had an obligation, and left shortly after their arrival while they completed the drywall work on day 2 under the watchful eye of trusted guests that I had that day. They also applied stain to the fron door, which had been sanded the day before, until rain forced a stop to that activity. My wife actually got home before I did on day 2, and advised that the room was completed, and looked good, but for areas where she could see "seams" where the work had been completed. Upon my arrival and review of the work late that night, I noted that the areas were distinguishable, but didn't do a thorough review until the next morning, when I realized that it was not seams that were distinguishable, but instead the texturing was different, and resolved to talk to Rudy later that day. Later that morning (day 3), one of his guys arrived to complete the front door, and I called Rudy to advise on the texturing as the staining of the door wrapper up, to get the texturing addressed. He then advised that matching the texturing was a challenge because the technique was unique, and they could't find the brushes(?) to match the strokes on the preexisting texturing. After some back and forth, Rudy advised that they could come back and try to match closer, but couldn't guarantee (he actually sounded doubtful that they'd be able to match). In any regard, after speaking to my wife we decided to keep as is, since the difference was not glaringly noticable without careful examination. All in, we had a good experience with Rudy's Quality Painting. For my part, they should have advised that the texturing was going to be an issue as soon as the issue was known, rather than "completing" the work, then having us discover this on our own. As a consequence, I can't give the job an A-rating, although I would recommend and engage Rudy for work in the future. The fact that Rudy was primed to come back and attempt to address the texturing is great, although we elected against doing so. As the texturing was the only concern of note, I'd recommend Rudy's, but I also suggest stressing in advance that they communicate any issues with the ability to match any texturing or other parts of the job, and confirming with the guys actually doing the work. Also, some time has passed, and the variance in the texturing is not as dramatic as first thought.

The issue I had with them was that they did initial inspection of everything, they gave us a quote we went with it and then they ended up saying oh you know there is all these other damages we found when we remove it and it's going to cost much more and it was fairly significant their price had gone up pretty high.

The workers were very talented and worked well together. The workers repaired everything that they saw needing repaired. They were very detailed and made sure everything was correct prior to completing the job. We had a holiday in the middle of the job order. Even though the guys said they would come and work on the weekend prior to the holiday, they did not show up nor did they call and tell us they were not coming. I found this very unprofessional for workers or their boss not to call us (we also had family obligations and could  had used that time that we sat waiting for the workers to show up with our family). I try to explain to them that communication is the #1 obligation between a company and their client.
Over all I would hire them again, but would set up an understandment between company and workers that to respect our time as homeowners. I would also get everyone CELL PHONE number (workers and company) as they started working, so everyone could communicate about the time the workers would be or would not be at our home.

The owner was very eager to get the business and he was a referral from a friend.

I insisted on a written contract specifying all the items we discussed when he gave me a price for the work.  Subsequent to this, and over the course of the job, we argued over his providing items that were clearly spelled out in the contract.  His argument was that the items were not in his written quote provided to me in our initial discussion, but those items were definitely provided in a contract he signed at the time I provided the deposit for the work.

Once the work was almost complete, my initial inspection revealed some areas where the quality of the work was poor.  I  accept that part of my role as an owner is to inspect the work but I received arguments from the business owner on items that definitely needed to be redone.  In addition, the business owner was extremely rude to my wife telling her that she "just didn't understand how painting works".  He was condescending to her.  He accused us of not wanting to pay him for his work.

In the end the quality of the work was OK, but when I factor in the headaches of dealing with the owner I would not recommend this company to a friend.

"(removed member name), I read your review on the paint job. I research my records I could not find your contract or contact information. I believe you may have the wrong company. I would like you to contact us to declare the problem and if we are your painters. My cell number 713-459-4151 or send a copy of the contract fax number 281-590-3016. Thank You Rudy"

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Rudy discussed thoroughly what needed to be done. He made a wonderful suggestion to replace the front columns with fiberglass to get rid of wood rot permanently. He quoted a fair price and the invoice was exactly the same as the quote. His crews (both carpentry & painting) were courteous and very professional. They completed the work in a timely fashion, which was no small challenge with the inclement weather we have had. Their clean up was impeccable as well. I highly recommend Rudy and his crews.

Rudy is one busy man!  It took over a week to schedule an estimate time.  Rudy did arrived promptly on the scheduled day.  However, it took him another 10 days to email me the estimate.  I did not use him for that reason.

The experience was great overall.  Javier returned my call promptly to schedule a time to meet.  He came over and gave an estimate and provided suggestions.  Their pricing was comparable to others.  They were on time for the job.  They were professional and respectful of not getting dust in other parts of the house by sealing off the room (this relates to the sheetrock repair).  They provided quality work.  On the last day, we did a check with Javier and spotted a few minor things.  They came in the next day and completed them all.  Would use them again and recommend to others.

These guys do a great job.  Rudy knows what is needed, what kind of paint, how it needs to be done.  His workers are skilled and experienced, with the patience to do the job right.  I have used their services more than once and will call them again when I need paint work again.

I called them several times but they never called me back.  They finally called me back.  They scheduled an appointment in January but didn't show up.  They called me this month to see if I still wanted my house painted but I declined.  They were very unprofessional.

Since Rudy's Quality Painting has the largest add in Angie's List monthly publication I called them to obtain an estimate for indoor painting and repair of drywall cracks. Whoever answered the phone said someone would call back to schedule a visit for the estimate. That was two weeks ago and no one has called. After this quality of service they need not call now.

"Thank you for the review of are company. I will assure this will not happen again. We had a busy week and a lots of calls. If you can give us a second chance we will make it right. Thank you again. Rudy"

quick and responsive to initial inquiry after trying to unsuccessfully set something up with other vendors (small job).  quote provided and service scheduled in a way that worked with my schedule.
professional work ... the technician spent the entire day repairing and replacing sheetrock, drying with a blowdryer so that the walls could be repainted that same day.  I cannot see any change in texture in the walls after repair ... it looks like it did before the holes were cut out for a water leak repair.  Javier, the supervisor, came by periodically during the day to make sure the job was being done well and in a timely fashion.
I was very pleased with the professionalism, timeliness and quality of work performed..
I will call again for a quote when we are ready for additional work over the next few years.

I worked back and forth with Javier Guerrero while I was taking bids and he promptly made revisions and priced out a few extra things for me.  It did take several weeks to get on the schedule.  He showed up right on time as promised with his crew and made sure they knew what was being repaired before the painting started.  The carpenter did a great job with all of the trim repairs that needed to be made.  They power washed and then prepped for the better part of two weeks before any painting began,  They did a great job of caulking everything as my house is entirely clad in Hardie siding and hasn't been fully painted in nearly 20 years.  They did a nice job in prepping a couple of original doors that must have had 10 coats of paint on them.  They were very careful to mask off windows and anything else that wasn't supposed to be painted.  There were no issues with any paint ending up on any cars or anything else it wasn't supposed to be on.  The crew showed up every day at about 9:00 and worked a full day in some really hot weather.  We only had one minor glitch on some wood windows that should have made it into the original estimate but that was resolved in a very fair and professional manner.  Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out and I would definitely recommend Rudy's Quality Painting to my friends.
