At first the company seemed super helpful. Eric was always pleasant and seemed to be supporting us. HOWEVER, they told us that they were dealing directly with insurance and that we wouldn't need to worry about anything. Therefore no costs, no options, no explanations of services were ever given to us. When the bill came back higher than insurance would cover they assured us that Joyce was the best in the business and would get it taken care of for us. the gap ended up being $3000 out of our pocket and as far as I can tell, no genuine effort was made to come to an agreement because we would have to pay it anyway. They were not actually working for us. In addition, the whole process was frustrating because appointments were made with us, where we canceled plans and they never showed or called. They removed equipment before it was dry and then covered themselves by putting it back in. At the end of the day our house is dry as is our bank account. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Fast to respond but expensive for the service performed. Stated it was corporate pricing but then went on to try to do another service and bartered with me.

The man was great and did a very good job. Cleaned up both areas he worked in and left it clean and neat. Expensive but t, I’m sure it was worth it.

They fixed the problem, but they charge a flat rate of $430 to unclog a house drain.

We had an emergency plumbing issue today and called Roto around 11:00am. They told us they would be able to fix it this afternoon. They sent a text saying that we were confirmed. The text said that if we don’t respond to them within 3 minutes of their technician contacting us, that our appointment window would expire. Because of that, we were glued by the phone. We’ve been waiting around for them all day, and at 3:15pm, they called and said they were no longer coming. Now, it’s too late to call anyone to get out here today. If you have an issue on a Sunday, save your time and don’t call them.

Service was good, they take good care of the clog and resolve the problem.

Contacted Roto-Rooter, because I've used them back home in Northern Kentucky and I'm confident I would be treated honestly and fairly. Jonathon S was my technician and he did a great job. He listened to what I had to say and what I wanted done and he gave me an estimate for the work. He also told me what could go wrong and that it might end up costing more so he was up front with me. He was able to get it repaired within the original estimate pretty quickly. He also recommended replacing the bad galvanized section with PVC so that it would last longer. He also used the Shut-Off valve I purchased already to keep my costs down. Much appreciated.

The technician was great and the job efficiently. However, scheduling a follow up call involved a 4 hour wait at my house with the call center repeated lying to me that "The technician is only 40 minutes away." Would never hire this company again.

The pipe fix and water restoration services went very well. The quality of the work was great. However, while cleaning up, one of the techs damaged my wood floors. They used the wrong tape to attach the plastic barrier to the walls and floors to create a barrier. The company paid for the fix, but it took them 3 months to do so. Rather disappointing. Overall, quality of work was exceptional. The technicians should have been trained better on how to protect client property.

I was promised a service call today and then no one showed up, so I called two hours later and they said they can't have someone come until tomorrow. NOT GOOD SERVICE when they know your main line is off and you have no water!!

I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Roto Rooter tech. Full disclosure I knew this job would be expensive after the research I had done prior to his arrival. Upon arrival, I showed him the work area. He mumbled around about what possibly would have to be done and suggested I hack up my brand new vanity to accommodate the existing placement for dual sinks and to cut up my baseboard for the other side and maybe it would fit. From that point I was uninterested in anything he had to say. Quite frankly if I was interested in his first suggestion then I would not have called a plumber. The quote received in the end was $675(4 hours) plus $125 any additional time which to me suggest that maybe he would take longer than 4 hours. I ended up going with another plumber for $1450. As you can see it wasn't about the price but the interaction. I felt like the job would not have been completed in a professional way given the way the technician approached the project.

Jack was unprofessional and he only partially addressed the issue. I had to call someone else out to finish the job after I had already paid a $200 labor charge for definitely no more than an hour, if that. He attempted to get more money out of me to replace the garbage disposal and perform other work. I explained to him that I had a showing of my house that day and while I needed the leak repaired, I had neither the time nor the desire for him to do any other work. He began sharing unsolicited advice about what I’d need to do with the sink and disposal in order to attract the right buyer. Unsolicited, unnecessary, and a waste of time I didn’t have that day. Jack told me he was giving me a “tail light warranty”, meaning the warranty was only good for as long as I could see his tail lights. I am extremely disappointed and will not use Roto-Rooter again.

They helped me more because they constantly had to go up and down my stairs, as I currently have a shattered leg and couldn't get down stairs. They were professional and kiind. Very well. Every time renter would run the garbage disposal, the slurry came up into the master bathroom tub. My usual plumber could not even look at it for several weeks. Roto Rooter was able to come the day I called and took care of everything in a short time. I was very pleased.

Went better than I expected. For sure. They were very considerate to my carpet and china cabinet which was my mothers who passed. Very sensitive to the fact I had children. Thumbs up all the way!

Quick response needed due to nature of situation (sewer backup). Responded within 1.5 hrs on a Friday evening. Prompt diagnosis and clean out.

Had an all-around bad experience with a Roto-Rooter technician on Saturday. We had a clogged shower drain in the upstairs bathroom of our rented townhouse and could not unclog it ourselves. So we made a number of plumbing calls to see if we could get a same-day appointment. Roto-Rooter sent out a guy who is not a plumber but who unclogs drains. I will not put his name in this review because he knows my address. That alone should give you some idea how I felt about the guy. As he was snaking the drain, he obviously created a breach in the pipe which resulted in a tub full of water and a pipe full of disgusting gunk emptying itself into our downstairs kitchen below. Now, in fairness to Roto-Rooter, it is probably a 40+ year old cast iron pipe that he ruptured, and Lord knows they get brittle. Stuff happens. But here are my gripes about the service: 1. The cost for Roto-Rooter to unclog a drain on a Saturday is about $340, which I thought was rather excessive. When they have you by the shorthairs, they certainly take maximum advantage. OK, it is a free country, but we did not have immediate options so we reluctantly agreed. But already I knew I would not be doing business with them again. They are obviously not in it for the relationship. 2. The technician did not like the fact that I was hanging around him and asking questions. Obviously, I wanted to learn a few things so perhaps next time I could do some things for myself. He was irritated that I was asking questions, and said "I am a professional, and I'm here to do my job, not to teach you how to do my job." What a jerk and what crummy customer service attitude. Strike two. 3. As soon as the breach occurred, the first words out of his mouth were "Roto-Rooter is not financially responsible for this". It wasn't "I'm sorry", or "let me see what I can do to fix this thing", it was "we are not responsible". His concern was for himself and his employer, not for his client. He did not participate in cleaning up the mess. He said, "you will still have to pay the $340 charge". I laughed and said we will see about that. Strike three. 4. After talking to his dispatcher, he was told that Roto-Rooter would waive the $340 charge for unclogging the pipe -- which of course he failed to accomplish -- if and only if we hired Roto-Rooter to bring in its master plumbers and its remediation team. Sure, they will give up the $340 ... but only in return for being hired for a job that will be 10-20 times larger. Strike four. 5. On Easter Sunday at 7:30am, we got a wake-up call from the Roto-Rooter office telling us that they would be at our house at 8am with the master plumber and the clean up team. We told them no, it's Easter Sunday, we have other things to do, and if they want to talk to the owner of the unit, he will be here on Monday afternoon. They did not make such a commitment to come. Strike five. We have decided that between the technician's snarky attitude, the firm's attitude towards money over customer service, and the office's insensitivity to an Easter Sunday (let alone the fact that their actions at least contributed to the problem), our advice to the owner of the unit would be to hire a different plumber to fix the problem. Our owner agreed, saying "you don't hire the guy who got you into the ditch to get you out of the ditch." Avoid.

Well. Joel arrived on time. Was very professional and completed work in good time.

Told the man I needed service today - In effect he said "Tough". I am now looking for another service. Did not use this company.
