Mr. Scott inspected two homes for us. He stopped midway on the first inspection as he saw a serious issue. He explained clearly what the issue was, I stopped the inspection, and walked away from that home. On the second home he was just as thorough. Better house, so it required a complete inspection. Yes. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new home.

It went very well. He was a very professional, very informative person. "A wealth of Knowledge" He asked me to show him my concerns first, and I did, then he took over and I got out of the way and let him perform his routine only responding when asked. He was thorough indeed! The Inspection was performed on 8/3 and report was produced and submitted to me on 8/5/2017 He was a detailed oriented professional knowledgeable in the application of building code application/compliance. His fee was minor compared to the cost of the deficiencies he found. It was well worth the cost.

Ron Scott is THE person to call when buying your 1st or 21st home. He is methodical, thorough, detail-oriented and does his best to explain his findings to the novice. He took the time to not only check every nook and cranny, but also to provide an extensive report. Mr. Scott includes relevant information in his reports, unlike many inspectors who include unnecessary and irrelevant puffery that usually scares off buyers. He also answers all questions in a very timely manner. I would absolutely recommend using Mr. Scott.

This is the third home Ron Scott has inspected for us. Ron did an excellent job and has saved us money on all three homes.

There is no other inspector I would call - Ron's attention to detail and thorough reports have helped my family vet homes for over a decade. Ron Scott has performed two home inspections for us — one in 2004 and recently in 2016. For this last inspection, we received a timely, well documented, 31-page report with numerous color photos. We were looking for a quick close — Ron was able to adjust his calendar to meet our time schedule. Ron Scott addressed structural systems, electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, plumbing, and appliances. His inspection took approximately three hours for the 4500 sq ft home. After the inspection was complete, Ron Scott answered all our questions regarding the various systems. The inspection revealed some significant unexpected repairs -- we were able to negotiate those costs with the seller beforehand. He also focused on the safety aspects of the home and clearly identified them in his report. Whenever possible, he places a cost estimate next to the problem that needs correcting. Overall, Ron Scott delivered a timely, detail-oriented report that was extremely helpful in our home purchase.

Mr. Scott is diligent and very methodical in his approach. He not only takes notes and photos, he verbally records his findings, and his reports are thorough. Unlike many inspection reports I've seen by others, he does not 'pad' the final report by including 'boilerplate' and/or non-relevant information, which often confuses buyers. His reports are direct and appear to be thorough. And I can also say I cannot remember ever seeing a typo or grammatical error in his written report. Mr. Scott explains his findings and answers buyers' questions -- during the inspection and after they receive the report -- in layman's terms. Not one client has ever complained to me about Mr. Scott; most find him knowledgeable and approachable.

As a buyer's agent for 20+ yrs I have attended hundreds of home inspections and reviewed reports from most all inspectors in the area. It is important to hire an engineer to perform the inspection, and Ron Scott is at the top of the list based on experience, knowledge, education, ability to recognize hidden deficiencies, present a clearly written final report, and answer client follow up questions.

Ronald saved my wife and I from buying the wrong house. He was the first person to alert us that the house we were under contract on had synthetic stucco, aka EFIS. He summarized EFIS and then told us to research it. We never would have thought of researching EFIS or even checking to see if the house had EFIS siding. Ronald's experience and years in the business caught something that most inspectors have never seen before and could have been a costly mistake. His report on the rest of the items was thorough, with estimates for some repairs, and suggestions for repair methods. I will definitely use Ronald again. He's a little more pricey than some of the other inspectors, but you get every dollar you pay out of it. Highly recommend using a PE for a home inspection, it's worth it.

From the get go, Ron was extremely professional and thorough. We had Ron inspect 2 potential new homes for us. He was easily accessible, using both cell phone and email to communicate and schedule appts. He was very flexible when one home fell through the negotiation process and made himself readily available for the next one. He requested I show up toward the end of his inspections, so he could run me through his findings in person, making sure I understood the ramifications behind each finding. He was very thorough and made sure I understood what he was seeing. He prepared a very thorough pdf report, delivered via email the next morning. I had seen other inspection reports, and his was much more thorough, including multiple photos for each section. I was very impressed with his work and will definitely forward friends to him going forward.
