Rockwood Shutters

This has been a painful experience. We were told that Rockwood Shutters would deliver a quality product and stand behind there product. We were told they would do whatever it took to make us happy. NOT SO! It has been about 4 months and there have been several trips to our home to "get this right" and still...it is not right. I am getting "I am so sorry" but nobody seems to be taking these problems to heart (at least not at the time of my writing this review). Several shutters that were delivered were not what we ordered and several were damaged, either by the tech upon installation or they were damaged when he arrived. I inquired from the installer about the blinds that were wrong, and he told me it was too hard to get the curve correct so they changed how they made them.. that does not make them custom! AND...they don't match the other shutters in the house. After many calls, they agreed to "redo" the shutters. Another trip out to fix the broken shutters and re-measure the front windows. The installer came out again today to replace 4 shutters. On two of them...THEY DON'T FIT. REALLY? And, while he was shoving them into the window to try to make them fit, he scrapped the drywall and paint. The other two shutters fit, but they don't have a finished bottom edge (and part of the bottoms are not even painted). On several other windows the shutters don't sit even and one in particular I pointed out is sitting just a bit off, the installer told me it must be me, he thought it was fine. A leveler shows it is not sitting strait. I did tell them I wanted to call it a day and told them they could come get the shutters and I wanted a refund. At some point in time, you just have to call it a day, throw in the towel and start fresh. SOOOOO much money...it should be correct. Even if it take a couple of tries. But this is ridiculous! I would NEVER order from them again. I am sure other people have better experiences w/ them or they wouldn't still be in business but it hasn't been my experience. Be warned. NOTE... after last review...One of the supervisors did contact me and we agreed to "one more try" to get the shutters correct. So, once again, RWS came out and installed yet more blinds. This time, the shutters fit and they look good. PLEASE be warned. You pay a lot more $$ to get these shutters than at other places. You are sold that they will be correct and custom. Have to tell you. For the money-go somewhere else. about 5 months in and numerous visits to get the blinds correct. Not a great deal at all...unless you like waiting around for products that are not correct. I will never buy from them again!
