Dragged me on, trouble getting the tiles from the supplier, had to go to Dallas, didn't respond to my follow up. Took tiles to try to match and didn't return them. Odd that I found another firm to do the work who came and went in a couple of days.

Easy scheduling and service.  No attempt to upsell.  Diagnosed issue with a vent and repaired.

Came to give me an estimate for a leak around my chimney. The guy just
climbed on the roof, looked at the problem, went back to his truck to
get something (?) and patched the leak. Took about 30 minutes. Well,
with roof leaks you have to wait till it rains to see if the job was
done right, but no problems so far. I had an estimate from another
company for new flashing around the chimney and other things, and they
wanted over $1,000. Looks like the Rice Roofer solution was effective
and cheap.

Seemed to go fine, until I went into the attic to inspect the job after they were done. I found that there was a large area (~3-4  sq ft) of roof decking that was rotten, that they left in place. This was immediately adjacent to a section that they had repaired. No way they could have missed it. I called them about it, they returned within a few days to rip out the rotten decking and make the repairs as they should have in the first place.

It went well and heavy rains this week proved that they found and corrected the problem.  We have used this company for more than 10 years, including when a big limb went through the roof, for big and small jobs.  They are always reasonable, call 30 minutes before arriving and stand behind their work.  We are very pleased with their service and will call them 1st when our home needs a new roof.

They were recommended to me. They did a really great job. The product was excellent and I have no leaking anymore.  I was very happy with them. Their work was amazing.

I didn't actually meet the owner/inspector, because he was already on the roof before I finished talking to another contractor. He had a very full schedule, but fit us in at the request of the home inspector. He performed the service requested, along with an estimate of needed repairs.

I asked for 5 bids: one didn't even show; two recommended TPO (sort of a rubbery surface), a newer and less expensive procedure; two recommended modified bitumin (rolls of asphalt-like material with pebbled surface), a more established procedure.  Although not the lowest bid of all roofers, Rice was the lowest for modified bitumin, which I decided to go with after conversation with all the companies. Rice Roofing also seemed most professional, yet personal. I really liked the personnel, I worked directly with the President, who explained whatever I wanted to know with patience and who remembered after one mention that I don't like early morning phone calls or visits.  We scheduled the work according to my schedule and they got most of it done in one day; he reassured me that they didn't stop until the roof was waterproof since there was a small possibility of rain. When the work was done I called him about a few issues; he came out and investigated immediately and resolved them both immediately (no biggies). I would certainly use Rice roofing again!

A tree fell on our roof causing roof damage. The damage required carpentry work before the roof work could be applied. As soon as the eaves was repaired, Mr. Stroman scheduled the work and kept me informed along the way. The work was started when scheduled and completed on time. The yard was cleaned of all debris and nails.

The owner met me at the house.  He was prompt efficient and professional.  He prepared an estimate and submitted it within 24 hours.  When the work was performed the craftsmen showed up timely and completed the work within one work day.

They were amazingly expedient.

I had shingles that had been blown out of place and were folded over or gone.  Sidney came to examine my roof and indeed about 10 singles needed to be replaced.  He did have the correct color with him, so he came back at a later date to replace the shingles.  I left the gate open so I wasn't present for follow up visit.  Sidney was very nice and took extra time to explain the problem.  He even took my camera up to the roof and snapped a picture of the problem.  Cole Roofing is the sister company name that Sidney has been working with for years. Final price was about $10 over quote.

My overall experience was excellent.  I spoke with the owner of the business on the phone and he was able to go by my house the same day and give me an estimate.  The next morning, all repairs were finished and he mailed me an invoice.  All our interactions were on the phone, and I never had to take time off work to meet him which was great for me that particular week.  He is very professional, courteous, and punctual.  Seems like a very honest business to me.

I inspected the repairs and they all met/exceeded my expectations.  Will definitely use Rice Roofers again in the future.

.They did a good job.  I had no problems and everything went fine. Price wise, I did not get a quote as I just asked them to come out and fix it. They were very punctual and professionally they were very good. I will use them in the future.

It was a very pleasant experience.  John came multiple times to explain the options I have. He gave me multiple estimates with different roof materials and patterns.  He also gave me information on houses he has done so that I and my husband could take a look of the finished products to see what color and pattern we like. The estimates were reasonably priced.  They did a great job. We like the look of our new roof.  It's been one year since the roof was replaced, we continue to enjoy our new roof. As I continue to upkeep our house, I called John a few times on other issues related to the roof, eg. foil insulation of our attic. John is always responsive.  I recommended this company to my friends and will definitely use this company in the future.

It took a few weeks for Rice Roofers to be able to perform the work because of bad weather and the resulting backlog, but they explained the situation to me. I initially only requested the replacement/repair of a roof jack, but they noticed potential entry points for animals into my attic and went ahead with the repair. I especially appreciated that they called me before sealing a second potential entry point to get my approval so that no creature would be trapped in the attic.(there wasn't, but I appreciated the thought) They also gave me an assessment of the roof. After the service I was invoiced promptly and was able to get a faxed invoice with additional detail on the work done for my file. Very polite and knowledgeable staff. Their initial quote was close to my cost, even though additional work was done.
