Kevin gave me a very fair price for the work. Did the installation the next day after quoting it. Work done was excellent. They are very easy to deal with. I would definitely contact Kevin first if I need any more plumbing work done

Kevin (owner) and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. My house is ~3200 SF and the job took 7 days to complete. Kevin explained everything thoroughly at the beginning and then executed to it. Every day he would communicate what they'd be working on the next day and what to expect as far as water shutoff. During this time, he made sure we always had a functioning toilet and shower at the end of each day so we could have some degree of normalcy while our house was cut open. We had another contractor in during this time as well for bathroom remodelings and Kevin's team worked fine with them. Very complimentary of each other.
Retro Plumbing was very professional and very conscientious regarding both clean-up after the job and minimizing the amount of drywall they cut in order to replace the galvanized pipe.
Also should note that I got 3 bids for this work and they were the best priced as well. The #1 reason I chose them is that Retro Plumbing came highly rated by a friend who had also hired them for a large job and had a similar very positive experience.

The galvanized pipe in our 2 story home was about 30 years old and had been developing pin hole leaks over the past year. Approximately 4 homes on my street had already replaced their galvanized pipe due to leaks. Kevin Nunez with Retro Plumbing came out to give me an estimate and explained why the galvanized pipe was leaking and how he was going to perform the replacement piping. I had 2 other plumbers give me bids, but Kevin gave me the lowest bid and came highly recommended by the owners of 2 homes he had already re-piped on my block. It took approximately 10 days for Kevin and his helper Mika to complete the work. They did a very good job of minimizing the sheetrock damage. Approximately half the old galvanized pipe was pulled out of the house, with the other left in place so as not to cause additional sheetrock damage. The tankless water heater replaced 2 conventional tank water heaters and has a recirculating pump on a hot water loop so that no faucet is more than 10 seconds from deliving very hot water. When the job was completed, I had better water flow in our master bath, but a little less at our kitchen faucet and clothes washer. All other faucets were about the same. All piping was replaced, including the outside hose bibs and new connections to the ice maker and toilets. I am very satisfied with the work of Retro Plumbing and would not hesitate to recommend them.

My daughter called him and explained what the situation for my house was. He told her that it did not sound like it would be expensive and he said he would meet her at the house at 8:30am in the morning. She had to get up at 4:00am to get to my house on time. He never showed up to the house. She called him and left a message. She started calling other plumbers and didn't hear back from him until 3:00pm and he showed up about an hour later.

Excellent! Kevin is friendly, helpful, patient, efficient, and the price was fair.

Kevin may be a very good plumber, but I'll never know because all he did was waste 3 days of my time, agreeing to 3 different appointments and then never showing up. After the first appointment, he didn't even have the courtesy to call and say he could not make it. If he was so busy that he did not want the work, or could not do the job, then it would have been much better had he said so in the beginning and I could have found someone else. Be very careful with this company. He is very personable and knowledgeable on the phone, but apparently, like a lot of contractors, has no concept of time and will make appointments and then never show up. Needless to say, I will not be calling him again even though he had an "A" rating from the list.

I got his name when he was working on a house next door and I kept his card. I was redoing our kitchen and needed someone to hookup the plumbing to the sink and faucet. This was the first job. After that, I hired him back to install a dishwasher and all the proper plumbing needed for it. He also fixed a toilet for me. After that, I had him back to move a gas line (reposition it) for a new stove we were getting. For any plumbing needs I am calling Kevin!
