Reliance Appliance

Company was initially easy to reach on the phone and eager to come out to the house. I set an appointment for 5:30 pm and went directly home from work to be ready for the technician. At 6:00 pm, I called and got no answer. I called again at 6:30 pm and was told that the technician had an accident in the truck and that no one would be available to do the job. I called three times the next day to try to reschedule and got no answer. While I understand that accidents do happen, a phone call would have been nice, and shouldn't their office have voice mail or an answering machine?

These are a bunch of bozos. For 3 days they were supposed to come and repair my dryer. They kept telling me that they were coming but always had an "excuse" why they couldn't make it when I would call them at the end of the day and ask when they were coming. On the fourth day, I found another company and the technician showed up that same day at the time promised. These guys with Reliance did not ever call me back on the fourth day. Their name "Reliance" is totally inappropriate!

I was pleasantly surprised to call on a Saturday morning and hear that I would have my dryer repaired the same day. They were very polite and very neat, too.

I called on Tuesday afternoon and they offered to come out the next morning before noon so I took a 1/2 day off work to meet them. When they didn't show or call or answer their phone by 11:45 I went to work. They called about 12:30 and asked if they could still come out. I said no, but we could reschedule for the next day if they could come after 5:00. We agreed to meet at 5:30. At 6:15 they called to say they were on their way. At 7:45 they called to say they couldn't make it and could they reschedule. I said sure we can try again the next day at 5:30. Paul was only a few minutes late and immediately knew what the problem was. He had the part with him and was able to perform the work in about 30 - 45 minutes. He was very good at explaining what had happened. He showed me the old broken part and showed how he was replacing with new parts. He also spent some time figuring out a bit of an electrical problem. After the rough start it was a very good experience and I would recommend them.

I think that he does very good work, and he explained to me what he had done. I felt comfortable with his work, and I would use him again. I haven't had any problems with my dryer since then.
