"I am sorry to hear about your frustration. Wood Crafters and Bellaire Pavers does stand by our product and I hate to hear about things like this. The grey that you are talking about is more than likely what is called efflorescence and is a natural occurrence with man made bricks. Most of this should go away after some time, and some may just need to be replaced. Also, some of the stones will have slight chipping and usually is a result of shipping. We try our best to not have much of it, but it does occur. Bill Bunch passed away on February 1, 2016 and we have been in the mourning process. I am sorry that you have dealt with this and your frustration with communication. If you would like, I would be happy to come by and look at this with you and come up with a solution. Again, I am sorry about your frustration, I will do what I can, and will call you later today."

Scott Ward was my salesman. He was great to work with. He listened to all our issues and made good suggestions. We were installing a wood deck partially over a pea gravel filled patio and partially over bare ground under a 60 year old water oak tree where grass would not grow. There were also house plumbing lines, sprinkler lines and underground drainage pipes underneath the deck - not to mention a ton of tree roots. We had two ground level open drains to the underground drainage pipes. Access to those drains had to be incorporated into the design of the deck.
I put half the total amount down on August 18. They had a backlog of work, but were able to start a few days earlier than originally thought. The job took 5 days. There was one main carpenter and 1 or 2 assistants depending on what work was scheduled for the day. They pretty much worked 9 am to 5 pm - sometimes a little before or after if materials needed to be picked up or they were trying to finish a specific part that day. Wood was delivered and stored in the driveway. Each day the crew cleaned up very well. They were pleasant to work with and very hard working. The main carpenter made suggestions on design of the catch basin access and it turned out perfect.
Scott said over time, some of the nails might work their way up. But it has been 7 months and that has not happened. The only thing we've seen is a few hairline cracks in the wood.
Wood Crafters did not stain the deck. But they recommended Bunch Paint Contracting that did a very good job, too.
We had an old deck that we wanted removed and replaced with a new larger one. Scott from Wood-Crafters was able to give us a ballpark quote over the phone going by the square footage we wanted for the new deck (very helpful!). When he came to the house to discuss the new deck a few days later, he really listened to what we wanted, and even addressed our concerns about the height of the new deck and a specialty step we wanted at the back door (due to an aging pet). Before leaving he gave us a rough drawing on graph paper of the new deck, and even managed to incorporate decorative edging and "curves" in the deck design (something I didn't think I'd be able to have). The new estimate provided was extremely close to the original one we got over the phone.
A couple of days later we received a copy of the professional diagram of the new deck, along with a separate diagram of the specialty step we wanted, and specific details of the types of materials being used. After approving the plans, the work began about a week or so later. During the build, Scott was in contact with us, and stopped by to check the progress and ensure things were going as planned. He immediately addressed any questions/issues we had and kept the job on schedule. Once the deck was completed, Scott performed a final inspection with us. Overall, we are very happy with the deck and would certainly use Wood-Crafters again.
I had Bellaire Pavers remove some existing old concrete decking and drive way concrete, then install travertine pavers around the pool and patio, with concrete pavers on the drive. Bill and his crew were very professional, provided much-welcomed design ideas and considerations, but above all else, delivered a high quality work product. Everyone that sees my back yard now is amazed, and wants to know who did it. I don't hesitate to say Bellaire Pavers, and I am sure they will do a fantastic job for you as they have for me. Definitely will use them again on other projects.
Brian and his crew spent the better part of a week working on the deck, and their attention to detail shows. The construction quality is very high, and the deck is so much sturdier and attractive than our old, aged one. The crew were very professional and extremely knowledgeable about their craft.
When we had two slight modifications to be made after the deck was finished (which weren't in our original design), the crew came back and worked to address them. This was very much appreciated.
I noticed another review here on Angie's List that commented that the cost estimate was too high. All I can say is that 'you get what you pay for', and we certainly feel given the very high quality and customer service that we got a good deal. We would definitely recommend them to anyone we know!
With respect to installation, a team of two did all the work. They were punctual and professional. The quality of installation was impressive. The foundation is strong; as mentioned above the decking boards were run on the diagonal (which looks great); borders were built around the entire deck and a ring borders were built around the tree that goes through the deck. The radius bench with planter boxes around the second tree was a great addition and reasonably priced given the amount of work. The guys soaked and cut the wood to bend around the curve of the bench--both front and back. They finished the job timely and we love our deck!
Construction began on time and finished in a reasonable time, always prompt. there was a crew of only two, but Charles was excellent and listened to our input and changes. there were a couple of minor errors, but corrected promptly when identified.
The end result is a fabulous deck addition and outdoor kitchen with built in grill. It was on time and on budget. Bill Bunch is owner and came by to make sure our project was in line with his company's expectations.
Overall excellent job and would definitely use them again.
"We just came across this unfortunate review that was posted nearly 8 years after the project completion date. We take great pride in satisfying and going the extra mile for our customers. Reputation, referrals, and repeat business are everything to our company and have been the backbone of our success. These qualities are also the reason that we are celebrating our 30th year in business this year. We hope our potential clients reading this review also take the time to read the numerous positive reviews we have throughout the internet, and our A+ and Gold Star Rating with the Better Business Bureau in making their choice of contractor."
