Same story, 3rd verse. my warranty company also assigned this outfit to look at my air conditioner. first available appointment was nearly a week later. I work from home, so I can accommodate any time. their window was from 1-3 pm yesterday. they were supposed to call before coming over. no call and no show. I started calling at 3:30 pm as I had to leave my house at 5 pm. I left 4 messages yesterday and one this morning. No reply. I called my home warranty company again. This is the second AC company that the warranty company has assigned to me. My claim was started on July 27. It is now August 23. My home warranty company is Home warranty company of America. I don't think I will be renewing.

How did it go? It took them 10 days to fix our unit and (4) different visits. 1st visit (Friday) I was give a window of 12pm to 5pm - they showed up at 8:40pm. 2nd visit (Saturday) was by the owner who I was told the night before was going to fix my unit - wrong - He only come over to verify the finding from the night before. 3rd trip (Following Friday) showed up with the wrong brand of equipment. 4th Trip (Monday) they finally replaced the blown capacitor (outside),Expansion valve, installed new coil and hood. The parts ended up being covered by the manufacture but I had to Pay $1800 to bring my unit up to the new building code on a 5 year old house. No Air Conditioning in 100 degree heat was not a pleasant experience or was dealing with Professional Building Performance. Communication was very poor.

The home warranty people sent them to my home because my downstairs unit is working inconsistently. He went into the attic with no tools or gauges, not even a flashlight. Looked at my unit and said I would have to pay him $1200 to clean the coils in the attic before he could tell what was wrong with the unit. The coils are not visible because it is a closed unit. He said they should be cleaned once a year. I told him it was ridiculous that I would be expected to pay $1200 annually to clean a unit that could be replaced for @ $2400. I asked him if he would add some Freon to the unit, and he said he couldn't do that without first cleaning the coils. We had a reputable company come out in June to inspect and clean both our units and they were fine at that time. So, now my battle is with the home warranty company that uses this scam of a a/c company.

When the Ac at my business went down I called professional building performance and the were their in about an hour or so. My unit had a bad compressor and the coils were falling apart due to it being 16 years old. They gave me a fair price to replace it and were there the next with my new unit. I'm very happy with this company and will be using them again in the future!
