Poet Interiors

Acting on a suggestion from a friend and fan of Mel Poet, in 2009, I asked Mel to drive out to our small ranch site, an hour from Houston. She quickly assessed my husband's and my style. By eliminating and utilizing existing items, she rearranged and made suggestions for our interior. She also gave us contact numbers for those items we were lacking. Mel advised color of paint for walls in each room for our main living quarters and guest cabin. Before she got there, the cabins looked cluttered and uninviting. There was conflict and no order. By the time she left, we were amazed at her creation. We are now extremely comfortable and welcome visitors with enthusiasm. In 2010, we moved from a home into a townhouse in the city. I knew I didn't even want to start until Mel came on board. She first went to the townhouse to get a perspective and then to our home before we moved. She systematically went from room to room and chose items that would work in our new place and noted items that would not. She saved us moving costs when we were able to sell, donate, or give away directly from the home. After moving the selected items into the townhouse, we were able to shop together to complete the furnishings. Mel knows just the right places to go for specific items. She also gets a significant discount to which we ordinarily wouldn't have access. I didn't realize how much time and money one can save by utilizing her services. Mel also has an uncanny way of incorporating styles of one partner into the other. She never tries to influence "her" style on anyone. Top on my list is how fast Mel works. She wastes absolutely no time chatting, taking breaks, etc. She keeps her customer's financial resources as one of her top priorities. I can't say enough good about Mel Poet and her service.
