About us
Wayne Sandlin began as a wedding and portrait photographer in 1970 after military service. He received his Bachelor of Arts in creative photography from Northeast Louisiana University in 1973. After graduating, Wayne worked as a civil service photographer for the State of Louisiana and operated a Portrait and Wedding Studio. In 1977 he moved to Houston and in the early 80’s, worked on his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Houston. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s his black and white fine art photography began being exhibited in art galleries in the Houston area and he continues to work on his black and white art. He is a member of The Houston Better Business Bureau, and The Greater Heights Chamber of Commerice. With many years of experience in the photographic field, Wayne can offer you the confidence in knowing that his portrait and wedding services will more than meet your expectations.

Photography by Design is a full service full time comericial, wedding and portrait studio. Our centrally located studio makes it convenient for you, our client, to make Photography by Design your personal studio. We welcome your calls and e-mails to set up an appointment for a no obligation consultation for us to help you with your portrait, commercial and wedding needs. Your photographic needs, commercial, professional and personal, will be given our total commitment.
