PDG Builders, in total, provided exceptional service and exceeded my expectations in all regards. The team was always prompt and respectful of my time, which I have found rare in home services. Multiple professionals were involved in the remodel, and I was fully satisfied with the excellent results. With the multiple Harvey home repairs going on in the city, PDG Builders made me feel like my smaller project was just as important. I have and will continue to recommend them to others.

So its Thanksgiving day, and as I was sitting with my family thinking of all the things I am grateful for, and I had to write this review because one of the things I'm grateful for this year is Paul and his crew. Understandably, Harvey was difficult for everyone, but Paul and his team made what was a stressful time for me and my wife, something that was more than manageable. Not only did Paul bring his workers to our house to start remediation the day after the waters receded, but the quality of work done during the remodel by his trim carpenter Tony far exceeded our expectations. My wife and I now have the kitchen that we've always dreamed of and its thanks to Paul and his crew. This year we are grateful for PDG Builders.

PDG Builders - was recommended to me by a friend. Our townhome was broken into while my wife and I were at work. When my wife came home she waited outside for the police to arrive; fortunately no one was home, but the sense of vandalism was overwhelming. The backdoor was totally exposed and my first item was to secure the property. I really do appreciate and thank Paul and his carpenter Tony. They came over that same evening and boarded up the 8ft double doors we have. Although we felt victimized, at least the home was secured. Over the next few weeks we replaced the double doors with customized super secured wrought iron rod doors. the doors were beautifully design and it provided the safety we desired. Paul and his team understood the sense of urgency, and took care of the small details for us. He is extremely reliable, and showed a high level of empathy and compassion. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Will definitely use him again.

I hired Paul Gerecht of PDG builders to replace the exterior siding and windows of my original 1950 ranch house, as well as to replace my electrical panel, swap out all of my outlets with tamper resistant outlets, and drop cat 6 Ethernet line into all. His crew demoed my existing siding, insulated the wall cavities, put in wall cornicing, installed hardy concrete siding, primed and painted the siding. Paul made sure that before painting, all of the siding joints were not only caulked vertically but also horizontally along the length of all the siding pieces. They put in the new windows and as such had to put in new wood framing on the interior, prime and paint the wood, as well as the all of the walls. My electric line that comes into my house is underground and had original cast iron shielding that had separated over time and filled with water, so his crew tunneled a new electrical service line in new shielding prior to installing the electrical panel. Paul was also very meticulous to detail, noticing things I certainly wouldn’t have, like making sure that all of the electrical outlets were at perfect right angles and making his electrical crew adjust them when they weren’t. I’d have never thought to check for that. I had a great experience with Paul Gerecht. His crew was at my house every day but Sunday till the work was completed and even work the first Sunday to try to get the job done faster. Paul was at the job site every day to monitor the progress, and was available by cell phone any time I wanted to touch base about the job. I’d highly recommend Paul Gerecht of PDG builders and would hire him for future projects. I think it is imperative that you have confidence in your contractor or anyone you let in your home and I have no doubt that I can count on Paul to do a quality job.

I’m still in the process of working through all the necessary repairs as a result of Harvey. Paul and his team have been an absolute blessing. He and his team have gone out of their way to provide second opinions regarding actual scope of work required and conducted tests/investigative work (for a nominal fee) to provide insurance company with the appropriate factbase to determine necessary repairs. The level of communication between myself, Paul and his team is outstanding. It’s timely, communicated in a structured and professional manor which enables me to understand the situation, complication and key next steps. I feel that Paul, myself and his team have a true partnership- something I would have never thought I would have experienced with a general contractor and their respective team. I haven’t had the best experience with GCs in the past. I am a strong net promoter of Paul and his team. These guys demonstrate key core values such as honesty, respect and responsibility. They reflect the best that Houston has to offer. I will be forever grateful for being my partners during such a difficult time.
