I will never again utilize this company for further home building projects. I am advising any prospective buyers to deeply reconsidering investing their time and money into a company that lacks professionalism and exhibits evasive unaccountable behavior. Since my closing in November 2019 there have been numerous faults found in my newly constructed home. I have made uncountable attempts to reach out to project managers and builders in my subdivision to no avail. I am sick and tired of having people come in to “take a look at what’s wrong” then “promise they will send contractors out to fix things” and NEVER GETTING ANYTHING DONE. I am at the brink of my patience with this company in what should have been a smooth and professional home building experience. The following is a list of items that need to be fixed in my home: 1) following the February 2021 freeze I had several busted water pipes in my outdoor kitchen. After no help from partners in building with whom I have a warranty I had to resort to hiring another outside professional to patch up the damage. HOWEVER, all he could do was patch is up, there is still no finishing on it. I am missing the stonework and stucco and hardy plywood in the ceiling from those areas to completely reseal the area. I spoke to Steve the builder I’m charge of this area who vouched he would send out contractors to complete the area and we are now in October 2021 with no follow ups. Pictures are attached below. 2) Downstairs guest bathroom bowl sink has been leaking and loose since I initially moved in. It has been replaced 3 times and the problem still persists. 3) Main kitchen cabinets have gaps and several “ghost-drawers” which were supplied via Harbinger Cabinet Company. Once again Steve and John who are in charge of this area have looked at this problem several times but never send anyone out to fix the problem. I HAVE TAPE HOLDING THE DRAWERS OF MY 1 million + dollar home together. This is not the quality of finishing I am expecting at this price point. See pictures below. 4) Main home door has gaps and is not sealed properly. Upstairs balcony double door same problem. There were several other problems including an upstairs bathroom that had reoccurring leaks which is still not 100% resolved. I have made warranty requests via the mypibhome.com My point is I am exhausted of having to reach out back and forth over the course of the past 2 years to get work finished around my home. This is completely unprofessional and evasive behavior on behalf of this company and it’s representatives. The things listed above are just the tip of the iceberg. There were many red flags even during the consultation and construction process that should have had us rethinking our commitment. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

Excellent builder. We had a wonderful experience building our home through Partners in Building two years ago. Once we finalized on the home design (with an architect in the family - we made several changes) it took them 8 months to complete construction. They have an online portal for warranty requests and have been prompt at completing the requests, with no questions asked. They are exceptionally professional and helped us build a beautiful house. I would highly recommend them.

I put A on professionalism because they are truly professional (in pricing everything and rushing to complete the house). Quality, who cares? Windows are not in correct shape. Termites show up in garage even before moving in. Warranty claim? Nope, not covered. You are on your own from now on.

I purchased a home from Partners in Building. Of the 15 windows on the
North, South and East Walls 12 of the 15 windows had seal failure,
resulting in unsightly dirt and staining inside the window that couldn't
be removed, and loss of energy efficiency. Partners in Building has
refused six requests to cover the cost of replacement of the windows.
Replacing all of these windows would run approximately $5,000. I worked
with a glass replacement company to plan to replace only the worst
windows which would cost $3,000. The glass manufacturer, Atrium
Windows, agreed to cover half of that cost, but Tom Frank, V.P. of
Operations for Partners in Building is unwilling to take responsibility
for choosing and installing a defective product by paying for just the
labor portion.
Partners in Building markets itself as a Premier Luxury Home Builder,
but isn't willing to replace a defective product they freely decided to
install.

Highly unprofessional. Contracted to build a custom home on a lot we put money down on. Our sales person was 100% confident they could fit the 1 story, 4000 sq ft model on the lot we had selected on the water view premium lot. After almost a month of multiple missed deadlines and no responses, we cancelled the contract. During this period, our key contact evidently left the company during which we were notified in a highly impersonal, form letter manner that assumed we were further along in the process than we were. For an investment of this size, a personal touch would have been expected.

They are charging us a reasonable cost. They were priced similar to other home builders. They're very flexible and could accommodate the house that we wanted to build. They work with us. They'll take some of the existing designs. They'll make changes and they won't charge us money for it. We added four or five new windows and some extra doors and they said, "Fine. There is no charge." We changed the layout of a room, all kinds of things. They were fine with it. They worked we us on it.
