In July of 2022 we had several people out to quote us for a new AC for our home. Ultimately, we went with One Hour and were initially satisfied with the service, the unit, and the additional service plan that we purchased. On Sunday, June 23rd, my husband noticed a drip coming from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Upon further inspection, he found that the copper line in the attic was leaking. We immediately called One Hour to come out and fix it. They came out the next day, Monday, June 24th, and their technician, Michael, said that the insulation around the copper line was old and disintegrating, and had not been replaced when we got the new unit. He fixed the part that was dripping, but by that point, much of the insulation we had blown into the attic in December of 2023 in that area was decimated and there were several cracks in the ceiling due to the water damage from the leaking line. Michael confirmed that the insulation on the line should have been replaced with the installation of the new unit. When we inquired about their process to fix the ceiling, Michael shared that his supervisor told him to tell us to claim it on our homeowner’s insurance. Not satisfied with this answer, we reached out multiple times to speak with a manager. After waiting Monday evening, and all-day Tuesday, we were finally able to reach a manager on Wednesday, June 26th who was available to come out on Friday, June 28th. The manager, Carl, showed up at our house an hour past the scheduled appointment time. We explained to him the situation and what Michael found, and we told him we just wanted One Hour to make our ceiling right since the problem was due to incomplete installation. We also explained that we subscribe to the company’s service plan and at least two, if not three, additional technicians have been in our attic, on schedule, to inspect and service our unit and its parts, and no one has ever brought this to our attention, leading us to believe that we have been receiving incomplete inspections. The manager looked at the damage to the ceiling as well as the copper line that was dripping and made notes. The manager argued that replacing the line insulation is not part of the installation of a new AC unit, but as consumers, my husband and I aren’t sure why that is the case. Additionally, we can’t figure out why no one ever brought to our attention that the insulation looks corroded and needs replacing even if it’s not part of the new install. We would have had One Hour replace it, no problem, but we didn’t know it wasn’t replaced at the time of the new unit install, and for the past almost two years, we have trusted that the technicians we have over to service the unit are checking everything and reporting back to us what needs attention. They certainly tell us when we need a new air filter. We heard back from Carl, the manager, today and he said they will not be providing any compensation to repair the ceiling, which since his visit with us last Friday has gotten worse and looks like it is about to fall in. We trusted this company as AC experts and not only did they fail us when it came to a complete install, but they have also failed us in terms of making the incomplete install right. This is distressing as all we wanted was for them to take accountability for their mistake and compensate us for the damages. We didn’t want to leave a negative review, we didn’t want to cancel our service plan with them, we didn’t want to take them to court, but they are forcing our hand by not righting the situation. We understand that mistakes happen and if One Hour had stepped up to the plate and taken care of us, we would recommend them; however, because they have denied accountability and refused to offer compensation to correct the damage, we regret doing business with them from the start and do not recommend their services.

Great AC units. I bought two last August and spent 34,000 dollars. In fact, everything was removed and a total new systems were installed. The problem is the follow up-no customer service. A week later, I had a question and it took these clowns 5 days to response. I got sick in the process, because the bottom AC was very cold. Recently, I tried to call the GM and managerment in the Houston office. Getting the run around. The sales person told me I would get a free filter or two since my order was large. They never sent them. In fact, the manager there said he would charge me $254.00 for 2 AC filters, but if I come and pick them up, they would be ONLY $65.00. Scammers and not very ethical people. The sales person told me the technicians would show me how and where to replace the new AC filters, but I was never shown (somewhere in the attic). Go to someone else and Jimmy and Derrick are jokes.

We contacted One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating based in Houston to address a persistent odor originating from our AC unit. Despite their minimal efforts, the source of the smell remained elusive, leading them to dispatch another technician for a closer inspection. A salesperson, who claimed to be a tech, very lightly inspected our AC unit and recommended a complete replacement, stating that it was too small for the house. However, this suggestion was not relevant as the problem was only related to the odor and not the unit's cooling or heating performance. We were initially introduced to the company's Comfort Club Membership program and advised to opt for a subscription to benefit from discounted visits and a free annual inspection and cancel the membership after three months. However, upon canceling our membership today, we received a $50 bill. According to the terms of our "membership deal," the service calls and yearly inspection were included. It appears that the tech who recommended the membership misled us, and upon speaking with customer service, they admitted that this is a common practice among the company's technicians to encourage customers to sign up for the membership. Despite the company's knowledge of such unethical practices, we were held responsible for the charges. We called a reputable company for a second opinion and they performed a regular service that resolved the smell. Also, no need for a $24K ac replacement is needed. Do not call or trust this company!

Obviously a company has overhead, but to charge $650 to swap an $20 capacitor in under 15 minutes is flat out highway robbery, my AC guy was not available until next week so I had to use them, had it not been the middle of summer in Texas I would have waited, live and learn

One-hour A/C was very responsive and offered a number of options as I tried to keep my old system running. 100+ temps finally did it in and we had to get a new system . There prices were competitive and I enjoyed working with them.

Alan Aguilera found the issue to be drainage problem and the censor turning off the AC system. A new drain pad placed in pan. He recommended a plumber to clean clogged drains.

on 07/13/18. They came and give me a quote for almost 11,000.00 . although it was a high bid I thouoght will be a good quality. They fixed a unit and put a new unit for the second floor. the second floor was very hot they had to come at least six times to make it work but failed. In one of the visits they came to replace an air duct that THEY DAMAGED. On Sat 07 /28/18 they came twice ...still one room does not get cold and other is very cold. AC is very loud i can not sleep in my bed room.. I put a stop on on of the checks It was a waste of my time I lost hope they could get it together ...they hired a lawyer to sue me for 100,000.00 NEVER EVER USE THEM......
