O'Connor has not provided the explanations I have requested. I have made multiple inquiries about the status of my request, which is clearly a simple, straightforward request. Customer Service is unsatisfactory. .

Communications were non-existant. They would not answer any emails from me or acknowledge receipt of my emailed photos.

I called them to cancel the service soon after finding out that my taxes had increased by about $3,000 per year. Today, I opened my mail to find a bill for roughly $100 for the one-half the taxes they allegedly saved me this year 2016.
Now it has been 4 years since I last heard from them. So, I called the office at 713-686-9955 and was on the phone for quite some time, approximately 30 minutes explaining why I did not want the service, what it had cost me and that I had cancelled the service years prior to today's conversation. I was told, after about 30 minutes of very upsetting discussion with the 2 representatives who denied that I had cancelled years before, saying that all conversations were recorded and there was no record of me calling and refused to forgive the $100 bill.
I find it hard to believe that such a large company never made a mistake and could have possibly not cancelled my contract as I requested. I will pay the $100 so my credit is not damaged, but I resent paying them every single penny. I wish I had never responded to the direct mail that the sent to my home in 2012. Every year I pay my taxes at the higher level, I think of them, and not in a good way.

They represented several properties I own for tax appeal to appraisal district. They sucked COMPLETELY and were not accessible, not professional, not qualified and outright negligent. Although I provided extensive supporting documentation as to condition of property and property value they failed to submit or use any of the documentation with the appraisal district. They NEVER were reachable by phone and failed to respond to emails. I would NEVER use them again.

Wanna deal with offshore India-located office managers with weird accents and save only $50 for all your trouble? Then be my guest and hire this company.
Professionalism: in the end the company decreased taxable value by something like $2K only, which resulted in tax savings of $100, half of which I had to pay to the company for it's so called services. It wasn't worth all the trouble with paperwork, not at all.
Responsiveness: this company has an offshore office in India, and I'm guessing all the paperwork is forwarded and processed there, because it takes forever to get a response to any inquiry or a delivery confirmation. Further, when the company needed to contact me and I got a call from them - it was their Indian office calling, and the lady on the phone was extremely hard to understand - not only accent, but grammatical errors and poorly constructed sentences. I asked her where she was located and she told me she was in India - that's how I know.

We purchased our home two months before the tax appraisal rates were sent out for the new year.  I made four trips to the Tax Appraisal Office trying to get them to lower our tax base to the purchased price of the house.  I contacted O'Connor & Associates, via email and hired them to represent me at the Appraisal Review Board hearing.  They made the process very simple.  Everything was done over the internet with them.  They were able to lower my tax base rate by $78,000 resulting in an approximate tax savings of  $3,000.
