We had NC Chandlers sister company Wiley Construction, Inc.(13907 Hirschfield Rd, Tomball, TX 77377) bid on a construction project but decided to use a different contractor. Based on the experience I had with Jared on the contruction bidding proccess, I decided to use him when we started having AC issues the following week. Jared came out quickly on a Friday afternoon and diagnosed the problem as faulty Condensing Fan Motor. Due to being late in the afternoon on a Friday, I told him we could wait till Monday, but he insisted he could get the motor that evening and be here at 9:00 Saturday morning and replace it. After a couple of phone calls, he arrived at approximately 11:30. He quickly replaced the motor with a much larger (size&weight), multi-speed motor. After the motor was installed the unit had a bad vibration and Jared thought the fan blades were bent and he would try to find a new set of blades. He gave us a $625 bill and said he would let me know about the fan blade. Later that afternoon, called to check to see if everything was cooling ok and that he was having a hard time finding the fan blade. At this point I voiced my concern about the price and the motor he installed. I questioned why he put a heaver, larger motor (with unused features) than the original and wondered if the higher speeds could be causing the vibration issue. He said he bought the motor because it was on-sale and cheaper the exact replacement motor. I told him I was uncomfortable with his choice and preferred to have a proper replacement. Jared agreed he would come out first thing Monday morning to swap out the motors. Jarred finally arrived after 11:00, replaced the motor and said he was still trying to located a fan blade. The vibrations was still there but was considerably less than with the larger motor. A couple hours later he called to tell me he found a fan blade for $175, I told him to hold off and I would see what I could find. After a short internet search, I found exact replacement blades (same mfg & part no) in-stock from $65 to $100. Complaints: $625 to replace a $150 Motor. $400+ for less than 60 minutes labor seems a little excessive. In 3 visits, he was here for less 90 minutes. On both visits to replace the motor, Jared he said he would be here first thing in the morning but did not arrive until after 11:00. When replacing the motor, the wires were shorter on the new motor and Jared had to reroute by drilling a hole in the side of the metal case, which I understand. What Jared failed to do was dress the hole or install a grommet or something to protect the wires from the sharp edges of the freshly drilled hole. Left trash laying around AC unit. Failed to close the Disconnect box cover after 2 of 3 visits

Both were of the wrong type. Compressor better than promised but builder-quality coil. Was told they could not find a better one but wanted immediate payment. When asked to put in the correct coil/compressor, the manager got rude and chose to not do the job; they removed the compressor and coil they had earlier installed. Very unprofessional; will never use them again.

He came out and got on my roof to give me an estimate in the dark. He told me a wire inside the compressor was either burned or broken, but he said he couldn't see the wire and said a new condenser would cost $2648.39. He also said the service call was $145.00 but I don't think he's going bill me for that.
