My Pool Guy

On the phone, this person seemed nice. I read the reviews. I was completely shocked. He left wires hanging. When he left, the heater did not work, the water flow did not work and the chlorinator did not work. He took the check knowing the pool was not fixed. He did not call and tell me that the pool was not fixed. I had to call him to find out if it was fixed. He told me it was but when I got home, I found that the pool was not fixed and I was receiving a new error message. He then admitted he left the pool not working. He told me to turn the breaker on and off. That did not fix the problem. He blamed the weather. He told me there was a chance he could come on Sunday but I did not hear from him until midday Monday. My questions to him were...why didn't you call me and tell me the issues....why did you tell me it was fixed and it wasn't...why did you take the check. I had another pool company that I have used for a long time come in and finish the repair. If you use this company, be sure to inspect the work performed before you pay him.

As new pool owners we first intended to completely maintain our swimming pool on our own. After purchasing our new home we paid $90 to Parrot Head Pool Company for their 'pool school' --an onsite visit where they teach new owners to take care of their pool--in reality it turn out to be nothing more than a tactic to buy their services and left us with more questions than answers. We have consulted with other pool maintenance companies that were more or less the same--buy their service. We eventually came to the conclusion that we can take care of the week to week light maintenance but would prefer to leave the heavy lifting to the pros which means we do not need a monthly contract with weekly service. Last Saturday while working in the front yard we met Jared Lee as he was distributing flyers in our neighborhood for his pool maintenance company. We struck up a conversation with him about our swimming pool and some of our maintenance needs and he gladly answered our questions in a manner that was comprehensible. He agreed to come back the next day and clean our pool filters and the salt cell which had not operated 100% since the day we bought the house. As promised he arrived the following day and did by far the most thorough job cleaning both filters than anyone else that has come out to service our pool. By the next day the salt cell was operating at peak performance and the pool filters had completely removed the sediment floating in suspension. It is 2 days on now and the pool looks great! Most important to us is that My Pool Guy (Jared Lee) is completely flexible with the level of service he provides us. Again, we do not mind the weekly chores of keeping a pool--it gets us outdoors and some exercise--we needed a pool service that would address the more technical aspects of the pool system when it is needed. My Pool Guy is that service! Highly recommended!
